❝ i mean, i don’t think it’s really much of your business as to where i was. but if you MUST know, i was out with someone. we were having so much fun, you know, his hands running along my body, making me feel so good. that kind of fun. ❞ 

officer: what was your relationship like with madeleine?

❝ we didn’t really have a relationship with each other. she hated me, i hated her. but that doesn’t mean shit here officer. i didn’t have anything to do with her disappearance. in fact i’m sure this is just some sort of sick fucking joke that she’s playing. she’s good at doing that type of shit. just ask her parents. i’m sure she played the disappearing act on them when she was younger. ❞

At the top of the social hierarchy, they are the kings and queens of the New York City. Fed with the shiniest of silver spoons and clad in the most expensive of designer clothes, they are the upper echelon, the prestigious — the E L I T E.

But everyone knows that not all that glitters is gold, and grandeur lives mean granderlies.  They whisper secrets in each others ears like sweet nothings and swear they’ll never tell with fingers crossed behind their backs.  Whether they rat on each other or are mercilessly followed by the tabloids, eventually the truth always comes to light.  They can try and buy their way out, but they’d just be prolonging the inevitable.

I swear... Magne has become such a comfort character to me.

He’s (probably) autistic, doesn’t make friends easily. When he did make a friend - finally found someone who was willing to be there for him, someone who actually understood him and didn’t judge him - he lost her. AND NO ONE SEEMED TO CARE

He lost his father at a young age and as the older brother probably had to take on a very fatherly role causing him to feel the need to protect his family at all costs. yet meaning he had to grow up faster than other kids. Connecting to others was also pretty hard due to that I imagine.

Not to mention that his mother developed an eating disorder and both Magne and Laurits know it.

And Turid wants to keep her children safe of course, as a mother does. Magne especially, which probably meant he was isolated for most of his life. No chance to adapt to society.

Suddenly he gets these powers and of course, he’s scared at first but... for once he’s special. In a good way.

And there are people in Edda who need him. He. Is. Needed for the first time in his life.

His life finally has a purpose.

He finally has friends and family who care about him and who will always have his back. People who won’t hold him back either like his mother did and still does.

And he still always just wants what’s best for everyone. He wants justice for Isolde, for Edda and its people.

He wants his brother to be safe and he would always choose him. Hell, he even chose to lose his powers FOR LAURITS.

He can save Edda. For her AND for him.
