Seeing him on his tank top while his mask freely hanging on his neck and those unruly silver locks made you chuckle are completely far from the broad man they see on an everyday basis. Answering with a nod, tears started building up in his dark orbs. The feeling of love. Marriage and parenthood. It was almost unbelievable for Kakashi. You and Kakashi have stood upon everyone. A night wedding, like what you’ve always preferred. The fireflies flying around, the moonlight shining above everyone and the cold breeze of the nightfall felt all so perfect. Kakashi’s waiting for you from the opposite side of the aisle alongside with his lifelong bestfriend, Guy.

You’re dashing. Like a goddess, like the moon. The way your midnight gown shines along with the stars above but most importantly, his sharingan eye glows magnificently. He looked formal, naturally delicate and serene wearing his hakama.

Who would have thought he’ll be leading a life of marriage whilst being a shinobi?

For Kakashi, it was selfish for him to do this, he thinks he doesn’t deserve this joy, this type of happiness and let alone having you who’s just as determined to stay despite how horrible he’d become.

Everyone’s watching the bride and groom but it’s as if the world stopped. It all felt like it was just you and him. “You know...I haven’t prepared any vows. I can’t think of any, the thought of you marrying me still felt surreal. I would never imagined in a hundred years that you will notice me Kakashi. I just know I love you so much, I am excited to call you my husband for our entire lifetime and of all the dumb shits we did together, I place this ring in your finger as a symbol of my love and faithfulness. I commit my heart and soul to you, Kakashi. Always and forever.”

He chuckled softly. Both of you did your best from stopping the tears but both of you still failed to do it.

“I’m sorry. I don’t belong to your world. I’m no elite like you. I’m never from a prestigious family like your dad or your mom. I..” he stopped for a second before he completely place the ring in your finger.

“I’m just a shinobi of the Leaf. I don’t want you to be in my world. It’s messy and bloody but I will do my best to protect you with all my might. I love you y/n.”

You gave him a smile as you never let go of his hand where you placed the ring. The way your dainty hands intertwined to his felt so natural. His hair that somehow appeared to flow in a way that conveyed an aloof, mysterious and silent strength. Kakashi’s eyes that was just more than those dark orbs and sharingan eye. It was something deeper, more complex than the generation of his family pride and legacy that were so evident within.

Nevertheless, you love every part of it.

“You’re not just a shinobi. You are a shinobi of the Leaf. I want you to remember that. I am beyond proud to have you as my husband. I love you too Kakashi.”

His hands tightened to yours as his other hand lifted the veil. He was inside it now too, Kakashi pulled down his mask and both of your faces are not so visible for everyone. You chuckled by the thought of it. Even until your wedding, many have anticipated to see his face especially Naruto and yet they still failed to do so.

It was as if seeing him bare faced was somehow reserved only for you.

Your other hand traced his wet scarred cheek then up to his glowing sharingan eye, a living memory of how much Kakashi had felt he was a trash but just the way you caressed it felt like a perfect missing piece of his life. You gave him a warm smile.

“I don’t care whatever prestigious and shinobi world they have. Let’s create our own world, Kakashi.”

His lips slowly crashed to yours. It was intoxicating, fulfilling and both of you never felt so happy and as he let go from the kiss, Kakashi gave you a smile that only you have seen. He pulled back his mask before he completely put the veil behind your tied hair. He looked up in the stars above and as you both faced the crowd as Mr. and Mrs. Hatake, Kakashi gave out a whisper:

“Father, Sensei. I’ve found someone like mom and Kushina-san.

Rin, Obito I’ve found my world already.”

Kakashi stood silently as he stared at you while gracefully smiling in front of your dearest family and friends.

“and I’ve seen it with the eye you gave me.”

Naruto silently entered the Uzumaki household while holding various paper bags in his hands. It was calm and peaceful. Even his optimistic attitude cannot disturb the warmth he had always felt in this house. After every tiring day of learning from Kakashi and Shikamaru, his favorite part of the day would be coming home to his wife and son.

As soon as he reached the living room, he found Hinata peacefully sleeping on the couch while their two-year-old Boruto is playing with Hinata's pressed flowers which are now scattered on the floor. Naruto let out a soft chuckle when Boruto started kicking his foot, his tiny hands raising in front of Naruto as an indication to carry him. The moment Naruto held him in his arms, Boruto let out a loud coo, causing Hinata to let out a soft groan that caused his wife to open her tired eyes.

Naruto kneeled, still holding Boruto in his arms while he softly yanked off the strands of hair that covered Hinata's appearance. He stared for a short while when her tired, but sophisticated face was evident to his Atlantic eyes already—remarkably gorgeous. He had thought.

"Boruto... I told you to be quiet ttebayo.. " He shushed his kid, which only caused Boruto to giggle louder, and instead of being mad at the little kid Naruto and Hinata watched Boruto subconsciously hug his father.

The way he leaned himself to his father's chest gave Naruto a warm feeling. He had thought that maybe Boruto's warm and chunky body caused the warmth, but he knows it's not. It was his heart of gold melting from happiness, appreciating the brief but adorable moment inside the Uzumaki household.

Naruto glanced at Hinata, silently watching Boruto snuggle himself to his father like he definitely knows how warm his father’s embraces are.

"I've bought your cravings. Red bean soup and cinnamon rolls from your favorite shop." Hinata gave out a happy nod and mouthed thank you to his husband.

He kissed her forehead, giving his classic wide smile to his beloved wife, who waited for him. "Why are you sleeping here? You and Boruto shouldn't have waited. He destroyed your pressed flowers."

"It feels like my feet are strained. I don't want to go upstairs." She softly answered.

Naruto placed his son on the sofa just beside his mother. His eyes that were almost similar to his grandfather stared at Naruto with a confusion of why he set him down the couch—bouncing his tiny body up and down to get both of his parent's attention to carry him again. But this time, Hinata guided those dainty hands in her belly.

"Boruto, this is your little sister. She's kicking."

Naruto, who was fixing the scattered flowers, got his wife's attention. He immediately went to caress her belly to feel his daughter's kick. Fully anticipating their daughter to see the world. The world they live in. The family she's going to grow up with.

"Not there," Hinata said, moving his hand more to the right side of her belly, just near Boruto's dainty fingers. "There it is, right there. Do you feel it?" She asked with a hint of excitement.

"I-I think so, ttebayo?" Naruto muttered, and soon enough, a slight flutter followed by what the three of them can only guess is a big kick.

"There it is! Dattebayo!" Naruto exclaimed, lifting his head to get a better view of Hinata's blushing face. At the same time, Boruto cooed as well, completely getting excited and wondering why his mother's belly felt like it was kicking.

"Yes, that's right, dear." She whispers in such a loving voice, presumably no longer talking to Naruto, "Do you know who that is?"

He watched his wife and son interact while chasing the tiny movements with his hands until it settles again with one more soft kick. He let out a small laugh at the movements of his little girl. She's mischievous. Playful and almost seems jolly.

"It's your little sister, Boruto."

Naruto finally stood up, took something by the shoe rack, and hid it behind his body. Hinata and Boruto followed his movements with curiosity. It was rare to see him this shy, especially if it's in front of their son. Both of his wife and son's eyes sparkled in awe and happiness when he showed three pieces of a large daisy-like bulbs, sunflowers.

"I-ugh passed by Ino's flower shop, and I figured to buy one." Naruto answered with a sheepish tone, his hands rubbing the back of his neck and his other hand handing the large daisy-like bulb to his wife. Hinata stood up while holding Boruto in her arm, her free hand took the flowers and placed a kiss on Naruto's lips.

Naruto took the advantage to kiss Hinata deeper this time, their son watching them in confusion as their kisses go deeper. It was then when Boruto started tugging Naruto's sleeves, desperately reaching his father's chin to get a kiss as well. They both smiled between the kisses. They needed to tone down the intensity of their kiss to shift their glance to Boruto.

"You want a kiss too?" Hinata gave him a peck, then onto his blonde hair and to her little kid's tiny lips. "There you go."

Naruto once again caressed her five-month-old belly as Hinata stared at the sunflowers he had given to her as a present. A bright thought had come to her mind. Sunlight. Their little sunshine.

It's a happy flower, known for making them the perfect gift to bring joy to someone's life.

Their life.

A gift for their growing family.

"Himawari, meet your dad and big brother."

Hinata looked at the ocean eyes of his husband and son, giving them a sophisticated smile as tiny droplets of tears fell in her cheeks.

"I can't wait to meet you, our sunshine. Himawari."

You looked straight ahead at the Hokage stone faces and the lights they had just put up together, knowing he was looking at you it somehow made you feel, powerful but at the same time inferior. Is that even possible? At first, you thought it wasn’t but whenever you are with him, it’s really possible to feel all sorts of emotions. You kept cool and expressionless. You knew that was how you could stay in control, though you did wonder about him. Why hadn't he ever made a move on her? Was it just your miscalculations?

“y/n!!” He screamed by the hills. Completely getting your attention, his hands resting on his hips, his bowl-cut raven hair swirling along with the breeze of Konoha with his classic smile that never seems to fade. Over the years he’d grown much stronger, fiercer, and braver after the 4th great ninja war.

“What? Lee, you’re being loud” He gave you a wider smile when he saw that irritated and sulky look on your face completely ignoring your annoyed look, and instead, he gave a pat on your head, holding your hand that you had sworn to yourself that it sent shivers to your spine. This guy is really something else.

“Being grumpy is not part of youth, come here y/n!!” He pulled you closer to his, your legs closer to him, and feeling his calloused hand brushed to your shoulders. You never muttered a word, just followed his instructions and did as you are told. You twirled your hands away from his sight, letting the silence torture him, feeling a slight pang of guilt but it vanished as soon as he spoke.

“C’mon y/n what’s the problem. You’re never this quiet whenever we go here.” Just the way Lee had emphasized the both of you going here like it’s your spot. It was as if it’s only meant for the both of you. Truth be told you were absolutely afraid, of course, you’re friends with this man for Kami knows when already but you yourself knew it was more than that. He is well-loved by everyone, anyone would have liked Lee and you know you wouldn’t stand a chance to the lady Lee loves and the fact that you both live in the same apartment doubles the tension, you never want to be closer to him but you felt like you needed to be closer to him. Like it was some kind of necessity, completely essential to your living.

“You know what Lee you make feel absolutely worst!” You blurted out, after a few minutes of deafening silence, you finally spoke. Lee gave out one shocking glance to your sudden remarks. Flustered and afraid, he sat down like he is some kind of obedient puppy waiting for your strict orders. “I-is everything okay?”

“No! You make me feel all sorts of emotions and I hate it. I really hate it.”

“Is it bad?” His innocent remarks doubled the anger. You were the only one feeling this and probably for Lee, it’s just some petty drama. You decided not to mutter a word, massive thoughts clouding in your mind would mean a war with him, and choosing not to talk would be the safest way to escape this drama. “y/n talk to me.”

For a while it startled you, Lee was never this serious even on missions. He always wanted to make sure things are on their positive side but now is different. His voice, his gaze, and his posture look different. It scares you. The friendship both of you had protected over the years is at its stake.

“What’s this feeling? Why do my heart flutter whenever you hold me? Why do you always protect me? We’re supposed to be friends and roommates and I just know this is more than just that!!! But I know you, you like someone else so why act like this Lee, I don’t even understand this and I hate you for it.”

“Don’t ask me why I protect you. You know that I would honestly die before I let anything happen to you.”

“You know what. You’re so confusing. Why do I even love you.” You whispered while looking around the Hokage’s stone faces, desperately trying to suppress your tears from falling. How can he be so ignorant? How can you be so devoted to a guy who wouldn’t even consider your feelings. You were just some petty roommate of him, no big deal.

To all your surprise, the typical optimistic Lee you have known is far from what you’re seeing right now. It was nothing but a dull and emotionless Rock Lee. It’s what you get for crossing the imaginary line both of you had set. It’s what you get from crossing the boundaries that shouldn’t have been there in the first place.

“Tenten is right.” He muttered, going closer to your place as he knelt in front of you, covering the wonderful scenery of Konohagakure that you’ll never get tired of seeing. “It’s not youthful to deny the feelings we have y/n. It’s not what Guy Sensei taught us.”

“I’m not sure when it happened, but I fell in love with you, and it was the best thing I’ve ever done. I don’t regret anything.”

Your thoughts run free as he gazes into the horizon. Murmuring softly into his ear as Lee leans down along the smooth length of your neck. Ears flick back as your soft words ease into the man’s consciousness. “L-liar.”

“Gaara-kun told me I should be honest and I’m doing it. I love you.”

A pair of arms hugged you and there it goes… The anger filled in your heart paved away, you just broke down of it. A soft cry escapes your mouth as you buried your cheek against the Konoha flak jacket of Lee. The extreme and sudden pain in your chest filling with the need to run into the impending storm. You ached to free yourself from his grip. It feels home. Love. A silent tear courses down your cheek when Lee never let go of your dainty body and only finding yourself hugging him tighter while looking at his dark orbs filled with rock-hard determination.

“I love you too a lot… you stupid ignorant Lee… I hate it when you wake up early…”

Moaning softly as the wind increases, you felt him pull your hair between his fingers in a sweet caress. Lee chuckled at your response as he kissed your head, taking his time to smell your earthy scent that he had gotten used to.
