Inktober #17 Pea Puffer, no this isn’t a fakey cartoon fish, or a saltwater fish. This is the Pygmy or Pea Puffer... they are tiny but kinda fiesty... best kept in a small tank on their own, not too small as they are delicate to water quality. Inktober #8 , always a favorite of mine as a kid... the Red-tailed Shark. Shhh don’t tell the kids it’s not really a shark 😉 Actually a fish that will get quite big, live long, and not really get along with certain fish. So I finally worked up my guts to put brush to paper. A bit of mixed feelings about this one, some things could definitely be better but some of it came out as I imagined. Overall still not pleased with the hesitant-noodling that I do. Welp, it’s another step in my crawl back to being an artist. Maybe the next one I’ll be more confident and loose. Watercolor is simply not a forgiving medium, and this hot press paper is the least forgiving of the watercolor papers, what have I got myself into, lol • Oh, I didn’t explain the wacky shape... the shape is determined by the scene, in that I like little slices of worlds in my mind. I wanna force the viewers focus to my vision. Plus I don’t wanna waste time doing a part of the scene I’m not interested in. Inktober #30, Pacu... looks like a piranha but is the mostly vegetarian version of a piranha... gets nearly 2 feet long and can be up to about 40 lbs!
