ปลาแรด (อังกฤษ: #GiantGourami; ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์: #OsphronemusGoramy) เป็นปลาน้ำจืดขนาดใหญ่ชนิดหนึ่งในวงศ์ #Osphroneminae ซึ่งอยู่ในวงศ์ใหญ่ #Osphronemidae นับเป็นปลาแรดชนิดที่เป็นที่รู้จักมากที่สุด กินได้ทั้งพืชและสัตว์ มีการกระจายพันธุ์ทั่วไปในภูมิภาค #เอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ทั้งในส่วนที่เป็นแผ่นดินใหญ่ และที่เป็นหมู่เกาะใน#ประเทศไทย พบได้ในพื้นที่ภาคกลางและบางส่วนของภาคใต้ มีขนาดโตเต็มที่ได้ถึง 90 เซนติเมตร จึงนับว่าเป็นปลาชนิดที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในวงศ์ #Osphronemidae แต่ว่าขนาดโดยเฉลี่ยทั่วไปจะมีขนาดประมาณ 30-40 เซนติเมตร นับเป็นปลาน้ำจืดเศรษฐกิจที่สำคัญอีกชนิดหนึ่งของไทย #wikipedia (ที่ วัดยอทอง อำเภอนาโยง จังหวัดตรัง)
