On July 9th we hit the air ready to enjoy our honeymoon in Africa filled with kiteboarding and scuba diving adventures. When we landed in Cairo, Egypt on July 10th at 3:30 our bag of our kite gear and snorkel gear was no where to be seen. We checked in with baggage claim and they assured us our bag would be delivered the very next day.

July 11th rolls around and still no bag to be seen. Lufthansa’s loss baggage claim informs us that there is no bag, they don’t know where it is, and the previous agent lied about it’s return date.

After looking further into our tracking numbers, it appears when United Airlines transferred our luggage to Lufthansa in Toronto, Canada, Lufthansa failed to check in the item as the tracking number goes completely ghost after Toronto Canada, Frankfurt, Germany, and Cairo, Egypt as if the oversized luggage never existed.

We know our gear is out there somewhere, but Lufthansa has been zero help in finding it. Please help share our story to get their attention so we can be reunited with it!

🇨🇭✈️🇿🇦 В ЙОХАННЕСБУРГ НА AIRBUS A340 ⠀ На борту огромного белоснежного лайнера Airbus A340 всего 80 пассажиров, поэтому эконом для всех желающих превращается в full-flat bed. И если по Европе пассажиропоток все-таки восстанавливается, то на интерконтинентальных рейсах всё по прежнему нестабильно и грустно. ⠀ ✈️ САМОЛËТ ⠀ Увидев в расписании А340, один из самых красивых самолетов уходящей четырёх двигательной эпохи, я брал билет весной не задумываясь. Рассказываю о полёте, сохранив на память safety card, скорее всего со SWISS на таком уже не полетаешь. ⠀ У нас была длинная стыковка, но даже известная смотровая терраса (лучшая в мире!) сейчас работает всего несколько дней в неделю и до 15.00, поэтому не попали на неё с детьми, к сожалению. ⠀ Этому самолету уже 17 лет, но салон идеальный - новые кресла, новая система бортовых развлечений и шикарные экраны, динамическая LED подсветка в салоне. Не будучи авиагиком, создается впечатление, что ты на самолете, только что поставленном с конвейера. Твердую пятерку ставлю SWISS за поддержание флота и сервиса на одинаковом уровене на всех самолетах! ⠀ 💺🍽 СЕРВИС НА БОРТУ ⠀ Для детей заказал детское питание, оно почти не отличается по набору от обычного, но предлагается на специальном подносе, комплектуется дополнительной игрушкой и детским рюкзаком. Также есть дополнительные сладости. Бортовое питание выше всяких похвал - большие порции, вкусные блюда, любой алкоголь, металлический приборы в экономе (точно такие же, как и в бизнес-классе, а не более дешевый аналог). Утром предлагают завтрак в ланч-боксе, листайте фото. Также предлагают напитки и воду вов время полета, на задней кухне всегда доступны снэки для перекуса. Но у меня по расписанию здоровый 8ми часовой сон и красивая посадка в Йоханнесбурге, кайф! Рейс в 11 часов в полете - очень комфортный и для наслаждения полетом и для сна. ⠀ 👉 Повторюсь, уже в который раз, путешествовать сейчас - интересно, комфортно, дешево, безлюдно везде.
