La Reina del Sur: season 2
Tumblr media
First of all, thank you Netflix to partnership with Telemondo and give us this beautiful season 2 of La Reina del Sur. It was brilliant and exceptionnel, and sometimes as the level of an American tv-show, even better.
Again, it may be freighting because this season 2 has an entire of 60 episodes, but you forget it immediately after watching the first episode; it’s that good. The plot and the story is well built and thought, the characters are amazing and the end is explosive.
The best relationship this season was the one of Rocio Aljarafe and Faustino Sanchez Godoy. They were so good to each other and I’m completely obsessed with them. Their dynamic is impeccable. It’s sad that we couldn’t witness their wedding!
Again, the deception is that Teresa and Oleg relationship didn’t evolve into a more intimate one, but there may be an hope, because during the last episode Oleg talked to someone on the phone asking them to contact his lawyer in Moscow (for a divorce ?).
At the end, the only true enemies of Teresa that remind alive are : Epifanio Vargas, Erick Sheldon and the us government.
ps: does any knows anything about season 3?

As you come to know this gentleman with chocolate eyes and a shaded past, have you found the romance you’d always dreamed of, or are you caught in a vengeful web of his design that you barely understand?

Tumblr media
A/N: Setting is vague 1840s, in the transition between the iconic Regency and Victorian eras (when men’s fashion took a turn more towards modern suits, which was about the only style I could find for Herr Brühl in photos since he is not Laszlo Kreizler in this fic). Inspired by the historical modern-twist vibes of “The Great” and “Bridgerton” - I hope you enjoy 😊

Note
you're making me wanna watch qots! the thing is I've watched la reina del sur (mexican version). now I'm seeing a lot of this james guy in your posts and he didn't exist in lrds, but then you said something about him being called sancho or santiago? I wanted to ask is that his real name or what, bc santiago did exist and was teresa's LI in lrds, their relationship doesn't seem that much similar from what I've seen of J/T but I can't help but wonder if J is equivalent to S in qots
i’ve never seen lrds so i can’t say exactly how different it is. there’s no santiago in this qots and with james, he’s not the same character, but in season 2 someone calls him sancho and then in the finale someone else calls him santiago (as like nicknames) and it, to me, signifies james becoming the new love interest for teresa after guero. i wouldn’t say he’s the americanized version of santiago, but he’s supposed to represent the same thing, if that makes sense. i’d say it’s different enough that it’s not the same story and you should still give it a go!
