“A royal Zora from another domain. Since ancient times, members Nerissa’s family have served as the guardians of a sacred relic that was used to seal away a great evil that once lurked within the deep. For countless generations, the relic and its secrets have been passed down and carefully guarded by members of the royal family- who knew that if it fell into the wrong hands, the monster could be unleashed upon the world once again and wreak unimaginable destruction.

With an heir to both the throne and the relic secure in her older brother King Rinu, Nerissa grew up unburdened by the mantle of leadership. Becoming a carefree young princesses who lived a comfortable life in the pursuit of her heart’s delights. Despite her hedonism, she was beloved by her people for her kindheart, generosity- and prodigious skill in music. She became famous for her talent as a musician and the heavenly voice she possessed in particular- and Zora from all over the world flocked to their kingdom for the chance to hear her melodies. But whenever guidance was needed, all eyes, including her own, turned to her Rinu. And Nerissa had always been content with that, believing herself unfit to be a leader.

But dark times soon swept over the kingdom when monsters under the command of a strange witch suddenly attacked the kingdom in an attempt to take the relic for themselves. Amidst the chaos, King Rinu was mortally wounded. But before his death, he passed the relic onto Nerissa for safe keeping- and urged her to flee their fallen home so that the artifact remained out of the hands of their enemy. The heartbroken princess didn’t want to leave Rinu- but knowing the fate of their world was at stake, she was forced to part from his side.

After weeks of travel, Nerissa eventually arrived in Hyrule, where she continued to wander alone. Hiding her identity, she's survived through her music but has never been able to linger long in one place out of fear she may one day be captured by the Witch and her henchmen. Throughout her adventure and with the help of new allys, she begins to uncover the truth of the relic for herself and slowly grows to become the queen her people need."

Rough sketch of Hannel, a side OC from one of my Legend of Zelda fanfics, who developed a life of his own in my head. Not my best artwork, but I love this guy. He's already made a cameo in another of my fics, but maybe someday he'll get his own story; we'll see.

TotK had reawakened my Yiga Clan obsession.. Have Junko, a Yiga who uses wind techniques and bladed fans as weapons :)

A lot of people seemed to like the design I did for Sidon and Mipha's buff mama, so I thought I'd add some things about her, and her relationship with Dorephan!

🌊 Her name was Solaile, which both follows the musical naming schemes of the Zora royal family (Do re, Mi fa, So la, Si do) and also is similar to the name Soleil in French, meaning the sun.

🌊 Dorephan married into her family and originally came from an oceanic Zora clan. You cannot look at that man's shapes and tell me he was originally built for land, he looks like he'd take one step and fall over. The name Dorephan is also one he adopted upon marrying into the family.

🌊 Queen Solaile was fearless and had a spitfire attitude, facing issues head on and even throwing herself into danger if it meant protecting her people. Where Dorephan is careful and calculated, she was proactive (and maybe a bit reckless). They balanced each other out extremely well. Dorephan misses that sense of balance she brought, and became even more cautious after she passed - esp over Mipha and Sidon.
