Let’s talk about the pause between “I don’t like you anymore” & “because I love you.”

At first, I hated it. Pai just lets Sky sit in this devastation & it felt cruel.

But then I rewatched an unhealthy amount of times & noticed something. Pai looks always from Sky’s face in a frustrated, I can’t believe this guy still doesn’t get how head over heels I am for him way.

Because he’s human & has emotions & he’s been curbing the bad ones in an effort to make Sky feel safe, which is lovely, but eventually they’re going to come out.

& now, hopefully, both of them can feel more secure in their relationship to be honest all the time.

Pai ends up finding Sky's notebook, where Sky confesses his interest in Pai. This scene, Fort's face as he goes through the notebook, I can't even describe how I felt. All I know is that I was worried Sky wasn't going to be able to confess and Pai was going to walk out (this, of course, coming from someone who hasn't read the novels)

"It's unfair for you to say it first, right? Fine. I dont like you anymore-"

Edit: I'm fine, just reminiscing on previous experiences. If Fort and Peat were any less excellent in their roles and the script any less excellent in what it was trying to portray, I would've felt nothing. But it was so well done.

Once again Pai takes one step forwards then 2 steps back*. Describing Sky to his friends as 'a freak in the sheets' - wtf dude? That's just crass - and one of those guys is going out with his best friend you fuck.

And while we all knew that the notebook would be the thing to reveal Sky's feelings it shouldn't be forgotten that Prapai once again crossed so many boundaries - breaking into his apartment, reading his diary etc. Pai's love confession was genuine but was a consequence of his stalking (yes, yes it is) and now we've got pain coming for our baby boy next week... it's gonna be rough.

In other news Sig once again proves that he's the most empathic and perceptive person in the show, despite his clowning. I love him to bits. Please give us a whole show of him Mame. And hey, it's Leon! Hi Leon! At least you got some lines, unlike the twins.

I loved how Prapai took Sky through a tour of his apartment and they reminisced their first night together. This is where I kissed you, this is where you ripped off my shirt. All the while there was nothing sexual or heated about it. By coming here to this very spot and Prapai saying he is "giving" this room to Sky he lets Sky reframe the negative feelings that he had for their first meeting. Prapai was very gentle with Sky and asked for a kiss and Sky finally admitted that he wants Prapai to like him. The contrast between this scene and their first night at the very same place couldn't be starker.

Prapai and Sky are both wearing white-ish clothes and all the lights are on. The lights are soft and warm toned. They move slowly and talk to each other. This scene is about their love for each other.

During their first night, Prapai wears dark colours and Sky undresses fairly quickly but he wore a cool-toned blue shirt. It ties in with the lighting of this scene, which is mostly blue and purple. The light is dimmed and cool-toned. It only adds effect, the room is mostly dark. There is nothing cozy or soft about this scene. The warmer lights in this only add heat and sexual tension to this scene. It underlines that this is only a one-night-stand and this is just sex. The way they kiss is aggressive and heated. Sky makes clear he wants to get this over with.

I’m sorry but

Pai taking Sky back to his place for the first time presumably since their tryst in Ep 8, the place that truly started it all at least for Pai,

Pai taking Sky all around the apartment and reliving memories with Sky without making the present heavy with sexual tension,

Pai showing Sky how his apartment is full of the good memories with Sky,

Pai giving himself up completely to Sky,

Immediately followed by Sky walking back to his flat post (apparent) disillusionment, and being haunted by the memories of Pai everywhere,

Being haunted by Pai looking at him lovingly, taking care of him, just being beside him,

Sky and Pai are both haunted by each other, but only Sky actually sees the ghost of Pai everywhere because in his mind they are dead to each other, or at least Sky is dead to Pai and Sky is trying to erase the Pai in his mind to be able to get over him,

Sky seeing the one person in his living dreams that he thinks he won’t ever be able to have or see again, and the version of him that he sees is happy and smiling and utterly dripping with love and adoration for Sky

i usually hate the miscommunication trope in dramas but this was one of the times that it was absolutley valid. i mean sky had no reason to believe that p'pai would be any different. he saw p'pai with someone else and he jumped straight to the conclusion that p'pai was cheating and it wasn't even that much of a fvxking leap coz why the fuck did prapai entertain that bastard. he sat down with him and let him touched him before rejecting him.

Prapai was never one to second-guess his decisions. He spent three months brewing on what to do about his one night with Sky before deciding that if he can't get rid of Sky, he'll just have to have him.
