“I forgot that Dairy Queen does that upside-down thing, and I might have eaten half of mine already on the drive back. Who are you?” Chase had opened the door and, after some rambles, saw Marvin and some other man. “Sorry, that came out rude. I’m Chase.” He sat the ice creams down and held a hand out. 

“Anti.” Anti took the hand, eyes moving up and down as he got a good look at Chase. “Not bad. You sure can pick them, Marvy.” 

“Is that a good thing?” Chase asked and then noticed how Marvin seemed off. “Are you okay?” 

“I need you to drive me somewhere.” Marvin took Chase’s arm and started walking with him. 

“But the ice cream.” 

“It can wait.”  

“Aw.” Chase made a sad sound. He looked back at Anti and saw him grinning and waving with his fingers. Anti then snapped, and Chase’s ice cream appeared in his hand. Chase perked up and smiled at Anti. “Thanks.” He said before the door closed, and he and Marvin headed for his car. 

“We need to go to the park. The main section of it.” Marvin said after they sat down. He buckled up while Chase did the same. 

“Why? What’s up?” Chase turned the car on and started driving. 

“I need to see if someone is there.” Marvin rubbed at his legs. 

“Okay.” Chase could tell Marvin was anxious about something, about where they were going, and honestly, Chase didn’t think Marvin could be nervous about something, so he knew whoever they were looking for was someone important in one way or another. 

It wasn’t a long drive before they were at the park, and after getting out of the car, Chase worked on eating the rest of his ice cream as they walked. He didn’t know who to look out for, but every time there was a person, he’d glance at Marvin to see if there was a reaction. Marvin was also quiet. There were no jokes, sass, or gossip. There was nothing. Chase didn’t like seeing Marvin like this. It wasn’t like him. He knew it meant he was struggling with something, and Chase didn’t know what it was or how to comfort him because of that. He finished his treat and went over to a trashcan, not noticing the man on the bench at first but did give him a polite smile when he did see him, but it faded when he heard Marvin. 

“Jackie?” Marvin was frozen in place. 

“Marvin? Holy shit, hey. How-How are you?” The man on the bench, who Chase assumed was Jackie, stood up. He was a pretty big guy. One could tell Jackie had plenty of muscles, even under the red hoodie, yet had a round, soft face. Chase now understood what Marvin meant when he said he looked like a puppy dog. Jackie definitely had the same look.  

“How long have you been in town?” Marvin, on the other hand, looked like a hurt kitten. 

“It’s…uh…it’s been a few days.” Jackie looked over his shoulder and then back to Marvin. 

“And you never thought to call? To send a text? To think that maybe, I don’t know, that I’d like to see you since it’s been over a year since you left?” Marvin crossed his arms and dug his fingers in, trying to force himself to stay calm. 

“I didn’t want to hurt you. I’m heading back in the morning, and I thought it’d be easier to just stay how we’ve been.” Jackie rubbed the back of his neck. “I’m sorry. I am really really sorry. The last thing I wanted to do was bring back old emotions after we’ve both moved on.” He gestured a bit to Chase. 

“Oh no, we’re not-”

“What do you mean by ‘we’ve moved on’?” Marvin cut off Chase and watched as a different man went to Jackie, handing him one of the pretzels he held and kissing his cheek. 

“Your ass is lucky they had extra salt.” The man gigged a bit and then caught the tension in the air, looking at Chase and Marvin. “Oh, fuck. Jacks is that your-” 

“Phantom, please.” Jackie stopped the man from finishing. 

“That’s what you mean.” Marvin took a deep breath and shook his head. “Could have just told me. You could have just told me, and I would not have cared.” 

“Marvin, I know that you do. You keep saying and acting like you don’t care about things, but you do. You have a heart, and you’re hurt. I hate seeing you like this. You deserve better. You deserve better than me and-” 

“Are you seriously going to pull that ‘it’s not you, it’s me’ bullshit right now?” Marvin scoffed with a pain-filled laugh. 

“It’s not bullshit if it’s true.”

“Fuck you, Jackie.” Marvin spat and turned away, walking right off. 

“Marvin, wait.” Jackie tried to go after him, but Phantom stopped him. 

“Don’t. You’ll only make it worse.”

“But I-”

“Don’t want to hurt him. I know. That’s why we did what we did, and it didn’t work out how we thought. Let him go.” Phantom spoke softly, and Chase didn’t hear the end as he went to catch up with Marvin. 

“Marvin, hey, wait for me.” Chase jogged, and soon they were at his car. He decided to wait until they got back to Marvin’s place. Marvin got out as soon as the car stopped, and Chase quickly turned the car off and followed him in. 

“You can go home,” Marvin said as he went to some of his plants and started looking them over.

“Are you okay?” Chase stayed at Marvin’s side.

“I’m fine.” Marvin was clearly trying not to look at Chase. 

“Was he an ex or something?” 

“Yes.” Marvin’s voice cracked, and he looked pissed about it. 

“Come here.” Chase wrapped his arms around Marvin and pulled him into a hug. 

“I’m fine,” Marvin repeated his protest but didn’t move away. 

“I know. The hug’s for me.” 

“Okay…” Marvin knew that was a lie, but for some reason, hearing that allowed him to hug Chase back, hiding his face in the crook of his neck. Chase could feel the mask poking and scratching at him, but he didn’t care. He kept Marvin close and held him firmly. “Why do I feel like this?” 

“Like what?”

“Gross…upset…why do I care?” Marvin sniffed. “I don’t care. I shouldn’t care, and yet I feel like…”

“You feel like there’s a hole in your chest? Something stuck in your throat, and thinking takes too much energy?” Chase was now slowly rubbing his hands up and down Marvin’s back. 

“Yeah.” Marvin felt like he wanted to cry. He blinked away the tears trying to form and did everything he could to refuse them from happening. He didn’t cry. He never cried. That’s when you know you lost. That’s when it was too late. That you couldn’t fight back or move on or do anything. 

“It sucks. I know it does, but you’ll survive. You’re strong and stubborn as fuck.” Chase softly chuckled. 

“Just a little.” Marvin paused to take a calming breath. “I’m sure I’ll find something to cheer myself up.”

“I can give you head?” Chase’s sudden question got Marvin to break out in a laugh and lift his head. 

“Chase Brody, are you trying to seduce me into feeling better?” 

“Is it working?” Chase asked with a goofy grin. Marvin giggled and placed his hands on Chase’s cheeks, squishing them a little. 

“You’re adorable, and yes, yes, it is.” Marvin smiled. “I’m really glad Henrik sent you over here. You’re a great friend.” 

“Thanks. You are too, Marv.” Chase placed his hand on top of Marvin’s.

“No, you.” Chase chuckled, pressing their foreheads together. 

“Oh, shut up.” Marvin moved and kissed Chase, closing his eyes and easily getting lost in it. 

He happily hummed, feeling Chase’s hands move down to his waist, holding him in even closer, leaving no room between the two. Marvin was never afraid to admit to loving a good make-out. “I should call Henrik.” Marvin suddenly parted the kiss and moved away.

Pegoryu Week 2022 day 4: Hurt/comfort. OTPtember 2022 day 21.

9/21-22/2022. Pencil sketch, referencing 2 Figma Male Swimsuit Ryo version 2, one of which, was using the head from Figma Archetype He. Lines inked with Copic Multiliner pens, Stabilo 88 pens, Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens, and Marvy Uchida Le Pen. Colored with Copic markers. Some modification on Krita.

Had to lighten Ryuji's skin on Krita. I don't know why Copic E000 looks so dark now. 2 years ago, when I drew AkiRyu ALL the time, E000 was the color I loved using most for Ryuji's skin. I only stopped because I ran out of ink. Now, I finally have ink refills for E000. But now it's too dark for his skin, and I don't know why! ;o; The nib has been getting odd, hard patches, so maybe the ink has been over-concentrating in the 2 years that I barely used this marker, waiting for refills? Maybe my ink refill is just very dark? Or maybe my initial evaluation of E000 was skewed by the ink in my marker running lower than I thought at the time, and maybe E000 has always been a darker color than what I needed, but my particular marker was off??? If that's the case, I just wasted money and shopping opportunity on an E000 ink refill tube. ~_~;

the heroes meet - Huma Miraculous AU

Harry was breathless as he flew above Auradon city, the miraculous suit that covered his skin had given him, well; miraculous powers. He tossed out the magical yoyo and swung down towards a tall building; using a light pole as an anchor. He landed on his feet and rolled into his shoulder as he did, hopping back up with a wild grin.

“wow” he shook his hands as he paced back and forth about the rooftop “holy shit holy shit; this is fucking amazing, im a fucking superhero! Wait holy fuck what should my name be?” “holy shit there's another one!?” Harry jumped nearly 10 feet in the air as a sudden voice interrupted his excited rant and he spun around…to see his best friend in a cat costume? “Uma?” Harry yelled, pointing his finger at her in shock. “Harry!?” Uma screeched, her now very long and thick hair, that was twisted into locs; puffing up like an angry cat. She was also pointing at him. “you’re my partner?!” they said at the same time, then they both started laughing, Harry crouching to the ground as Uma covered her face “aren’t the masks supposed to prevent anyone from knowing our true identities?” Uma asked with a laugh, having thoroughly interrogated her kawami about the whole superhero thing. Harry shrugged from his place on the floor. The two looked up as a loud crash echoed from a few blocks away, then they glanced at each other with a smirk “we can get back ta this later” Uma hummed, with a terrible impression of his accent, and Harry snorted with a roll of his eyes.

“Are yeh tryin’ ta mock me or somethin’?” Harry muttered, spinning his yoyo in preparation to launch towards the Akuma. Uma just smirked at him “well if we’re going to make secret identities? Might as well make our superhero selves the opposite of ourselves? And who is more opposite than me than my very loud and chaotic Scottish best friend?” Harry laughed loudly, rubbing the back of his head and turning. He thought for a moment while Uma chuckled to herself, then he spun around, his face suddenly very serious and not an ounce of his usual chaotic self  in sight. Uma burst into laughter, flopping on the ground.

“oh, my gods! Are-are you doing a me?” Uma slapped her hand on the ground as Harry chuckled, walking over to her and lifting her to her feet “wha’? so yeh can do an impression of meh but I can't do the same fer yeh? Unfair Uma~” Harry purred, in a way that made Uma flush and she hid her face behind the fluff that also hid her human ears. “while we’re behind the masks” Uma started, pushing down the stutter that wanted to interrupt her words “it's Marvi Gáta to you.”

Harry snorted “Black cat, how original” he gestured to her sleek black and aqua-colored uniform with dashes of gold here and there. Uma stuck her tongue out at him and crossed her arms “oh yeah? You come up with something better than that eh?” Harry hummed, the two of them ignoring the Akuma that was slowly getting closer to them “Neverbug” Harry said with a snap of his fingers, a smile on his lips. Uma’s smirk turned soft, Neverbug. How cute. It was from a story Harry’s mother used to tell when he was a kid and couldn’t sleep; Uma had always liked it as well.

“well it’s no Marvi Gáta” Uma teased, struggling up to harry and fixing his jacket color, admiring the gold details that trailed down to the tails “but it’ll do. Now come on bug boy!” Uma rocketed into the sky with the help of her staff, Harry smiling up at her in awe, as he always did “we got an Akuma to defeat!” Harry laughed, following her lead with his yoyo.

The adventures of Neverbug and Marvi Gáta had begun.

First fanfiction Im ever posting.

This Fanfiction is my second one but this is the first one that I and taking seriously. Hopefully someone reads it and gives me feed back on it. But this is what I have so far.

I’ll write the first few paragraphs to get people interested:

She didn’t think that the day would come, that she could actually be face to face with her crush for so many years. But she has to find the courage to really be face to face with them and talk to him. For now she keeps her distance and hangs around her friend group to distract herself. But she can’t help herself from glancing at him every so often, and catch him glancing right back at her. She keeps thinking of how they were able to be at the same event. She knows so much about him and annoys her friends from how often you talk about him. How is it he went to this one event and not the others that he was previously invited to? What made this event worth coming to? Yes, the event was to celebrate someone’s achievement but why come here? Someone must have talked him into coming, maybe his daughter. Or even maybe his girlfriend, but she is not there. And that was odd he was infatuated with her, he was her second ‘zing’. Soooo why was she not here with him. 

She walks off to find his daughter, Mavis. Seeing her next to her husband, Johnny, they look to be enjoying their time away from their son for a few hours. Walking up to them, hearing them laughing, thinking of what to ask her. “Hey, Mavis, is it ok if we have a little chat?” She say respectfully. “Oh sure. What is it that you want to talk about?” Mavis says handing Johnny her unfinished drink. As you two walk away to be a bit more secluded, she thinks in her head of a way on how to ask why her father is alone. Yes, you know it’s a weird kind of question. Don’t want to make it obvious that her father is the main thing that lives inside of her head. And yes we know he is way older than you but come on have you seen him. He is not his sad loner self he was before his new girlfriend, he was still attractive then too, but he has more muscle now, a new demeanor, a new aura.(IF YOU KNOW WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT YOU SHOULD AGREE @infestedcake) He has gotten way more popular from this.

“I just wanted to talk about how you are doing. We haven't talked for a long time.” She says a bit nervous. Marvis raises her eyebrow at you, she looks ahead thinking of what to say back to you. “Honestly I am fine. Johnny makes parenting so much easier. And I like being a mother, my son brings more joy into my life. But I have a feeling that this is not the topic that you are really interested in. Tell me what’s really on your mind.” Mavis says in a concerned manner. You sigh and just decide to just ask her. “Where is Erika? I thought she and Dracula do just about everything together? And what made Dracula come to this event? Is he okay?” Eris asked her questions so quickly that she is not sure that Mavis was able to hear her correctly. She abruptly stops Eris both from walking any further and she turns towards her. She looks a bit sad and focused, turning her head towards her father, they both see him mingling but not really enjoying himself. But to all the people surrounding him they were able to be fooled by the fake smile he was putting up. ‘Did something happen to Erika? Why is he alone and sad again?’  Mavis turns back to you and begins to speak. “After my father and Erika got together, he was all everyone talked about. He became really popular as you know. He didn’t like the popularity he was getting. He is still a bit old school, but Erika was able to help him use the popularity for better things like making more hotels and expanding their businesses together. As you can see he started to work out more and become more social with others. But recently Erika and him have been drifting, and I know he is hurting. I don’t know what happened between them, but whatever it is, it’s not good. I know he was going to propose to her but that is not going to happen with the way they are acting towards each other.” As she says this Eris’ heart feels like it’s sinking, knowing that he is not happy again and might seclude himself again does not feel right to her. “But why did he come here if he is not feeling like himself? Do you think you might know what happened between them or have you seen anything? Sorry I have so many questions, it just seems weird that he is alone in a setting we both know does not describe him to be in.” She takes a deep breath and glances at Dracula again. He is walking toward the both of you. Turning around quickly to try to collect herself and calm her mind.

Teeth. (Part 6)

It's been a week since Jameson found magic, but there's a more pressing issue: his teeth. Not to worry, the good doctor set up some help. JJ also makes a new friend in the bunch.

Jameson wakes delirious and unable to communicate from stress. Jackie - he thinks at least - startles him, but he was just stopping him from tearing- needle, fuck! He shivers. Everything is overly blurred and because of how bright the lights in Dr. Matthews' orthodontist clinic shine.

"Doc- slipping in and- won't si- Well at least hel-"

Jackie's voice is cutting between sentences, but it is still very Irish and very loud. Jameson laughs, but it sounds like a wheeze of air most often. Jackie's strong arms and Henrik's safe ones pick him up to a sitting position in his gurney. He blinks. His mouth feels heavy and dead. He touches it; it feels alien, cold. He shudders. His tongue can't move well, but where it sits on his teeth are so, so many gaps. And a few teeth that are smooth with caps, lumped, but not sharp.

A face comes in, along with a waft of fruit punch. Jackie is directly in front of him so he can see his red-tinted silhouette. "Can you tell me how you feel?" His voice calls in the black. Jackie's hand is on his shoulder, almost the same place Jameson tore flesh from him. Jameson, not as drugged as he later tells them, leans onto Jackie's shoulder. "JJ?" Jackie calls him in confusion.

"I'm sorry, J-B." Jameson has mixed the letters in a sort of swoop. "I'm sorry Jackie."

"I… It's okay, Jameson. You've just been scared. Been scaring me. But I promise," Jackie bows his head like a man in confession, "I will protect you, just like I do for the others."

Jameson breathes, and burries his numbed face, and near-empty mouth, into the fuzzy red. Jameson decides he'll let himself like Jackie; be safe with him.

It's no puppet box, but it feels just as warm.

Henrik kisses Dr. Matthews' cheek and lingers too long on his arm. Jameson has never seen affection like it, and stares blatantly at their blurred forms moving. Jackie bounces on his heels, waiting to push Jameson's chair.

"I'm gonna call you Jamie."

Jameson startles and looks to the redness. "Jamie?" he spells.

"Yeh. Like Marvy, Sheepy, Chasey, Jackie… So you're Jamie."

Jameson stays silent. Warmth. Family. And inviting him to join. Jameson, instead, closes his eyes and pretends to sleep.

On the drive home in Henrik's car, Jackie sits in the back seat with him. Jackie's feet tap restlessly, heart hammering. Tell him. Jackie, tell him. His thoughts scold him. He stares straight ahead. Jameson was nice to him, let him touch him, even named him. Would he, if he knew? His eyebrows furrow as the memory of the silver knife burning a hole in one of Jack's boys; screaming in a voice like his own - like any of them - flashes in his ears. Blinks and it's gone.

Chase meets them with a chair, waving as they pull up to a semi-large house in the countryside. Jameson, previously lost in thought while feeling his numb lips, looks up in confusion. "Where? Tree?"

"Well Jameson, with your teeth fixed and the feeding tube, there is no reason to keep you in my clinic." Henrik is smiling, and the lighting is just right that JJ can see the soft curve. Jameson nods, slowly. He's been brought to their home. Like an adopted rescue pup, he jokes with himself.

He looks towards the big white house as Jackie is moving to help him into his chair, when, on shaking legs, he stands up all on his own violently and stumbles forward.

"Jamie?" Jackie calls.

"JJ, are you okay?" Chase worries.

Jameson stands, in rapture, panting. As he collapses, caught by Jackie in a sudden orange light, and as the others move to help, Jameson stills his brain. Faint. But it's there, like tinnitus.

Soft, quiet static.

And rather than the planned warm welcome, Jameson is swooped into the guest room by caring arms and the people who've healed him. "No, just leave me to sleep," he lies when they all attempt to dote on him. Jameson lays against his pillows and listens, all evening. Listening to his map back to his master and running his tongue over holes of missing teeth.

Decisions have never been his forte.

You all need a few days to rest after all that

"No kidding," Chase mutters. He waves at JJ, who walks over to the nurse's desk with the rest of them. "Can we all just...sit here? For a while."

'There aren't any chairs for you guys,' Jack points out.

It's fine, I know where they're stored, I'll go get some. JJ turns back around and heads into the nearest room. A minute later, he returns with two extra chairs, sitting them on either side of Chase's chair. Stacy?

"I'm fine." Stacy pushes herself upright just enough to walk around the desk and sit down heavily in the left chair. Jameson takes the right. And they all sit and wait.

Time passes. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Stacy falls asleep quickly, head leaning back to rest against the wall. The others don't wake her. They watch as the hallway slowly empties, as people either settle in a room or leave the clinic altogether.

Until, finally, the door to the nearest room opens and Henrik walks out. His eyes are wide and he's trembling. He rests a hand on the wall, leaning onto it, and says, "It is done."

Chase sits up straight. "Marvi—Cat? H-he's...?"

"He's alright." Henrik nods. Behind him, Raven and Quentin also leave the room. It looks like Fern is staying inside for a while longer. "There...there will be scarring. But he is alright."

Can we see him? Jameson is already half-standing.

"I...I suppose? But he might not respond. I think he is in shutdown."

"Chase?" Marvin's soft voice was heard over Chase's game, making him pause and look over to his nearly bare lover, only wearing a royal purple silk robe. His damp hair was put up in a towel. With each step, Marvin put a sway to his hips though Chase smiled and gazed upon the smaller with heart-eyes.

"Hey, babe!" Chase smiled, Marvin smirked.

"Honey.. I seem to have a bit of trouble with my hair.. Maybe you can brush it?" He asked slyly, releasing his hair from the towel, Chase blushed lightly before agreeing.

"Of course, baby!" Marvin smiled, summoning a brush in Chase's hand.

"Thank you, Chasey." Chase wanted to see more of Marvin's smile, plump lips spreading into the most beautiful smile that he has ever seen.

Chase, ever-so gently began brushing his hair. He watched Marvin tilting his head back with a hum of pleasure. Though, there was a knot in his hair and without wanting to hurt his lover, he held onto his hair and brushed his hair, not expecting a sudden moan from Marvin's lips.
