What to do during long layovers?
I had a 6 hour layover in SFO and a 4 hour layover in PHL from my 40k miles redemption flight. Here are some things that I did to kill time.
1) Master the Art of Sleeping in airports
Unfortunately in the hours between 10:30am - 5am, most of the airport lounges are closed. So even with priority pass membership, it’d be difficult to find a place for a good shut eye.
But as I was wandering through the airport, I captured these tired travelers making do with what they have. Who do you think had the most comfort?
Hands down #1 wins! And meanwhile this was me attempting to find my own comfy corner with charging outlets away from it all 😂
2) Take advantage of the priority pass lounges
At the PHL airport, I was able to find these Minute Suites. They are actually open 24/7 with the option to make reservations online before your visit! I unfortunately didn’t know that and had to wait for about an hour and a half on a waiting list during my 2pm to 6pm Friday afternoon layover.
It’s only the basic sleeping space. You get the first hour free with your priority pass access. All food and snacks in the room are available with additional charge.
