The funniest thing about anti Scott McCall conspiracy theorists- Scott is an unreliable narrator, he's secretly the bad guy, Jackson was the real protagonist, Stiles is the real protagonist, Scott's a werewolf colonizer etc etc- is that Teen Wolf is not a good show, you guys. It's not well-written. The writers of Teen Wolf were not putting secret hidden plots and complex narratives into the show and never could because they were bad at writing it. Certain fans are just desperate to find meaning that happens to align with their obsessive hatred for the brown main character, so they create their own fantasies justifying it. The intricacies of white fandom's persecution complex is deeper than the show could ever be.

Keep accidentally stumbling on "Hazbin-critical" posts and honestly the shit people are making up to boost their (real and reasonable) criticisms is surreal to me.

Calling it anti-religious especially is what's getting to me rn. Like no, its take on heaven and hell isn't especially new or unique but it's not meant to be? Some ideas are just fun to explore and Hazbin is one of many, many forms of media exploring the idea of a corrupt heaven and fallen angels vs ascending demons and why one is allowed but not the other. Even the idea of heaven itself not knowing the requirements for people to get there is explored in other media, like The Good Place, which I never saw ANYONE call anti-religious despite its own brutal criticisms of Christian ideas of sin and endless suffering.

Idk, it's just weird. I'm religious/spiritual myself and I just do not see how it's helpful or productive to call a show anti-religious just because it uses religious themes and isn't 100% supportive of certain ideas. Criticize the appropriation of religions like Judaism and Voodoo but don't make shit up to make the show seem worse than it is.

After finishing The Sunlit Man I have to say that sigzil went from That Nerd Guy Who is There I Guess to one of my favorite characters in the cosmere. Like WOW I never expected to like him so much, but this book made him out to be a really interesting and likable character. Mr. You-Cant-Be-Gay-Unless-You-Fill-Out-The-Right-Paperwork has really come a long way.
