Okay, with this latest LO chapter out, I’ve seen some people talk about how Zeus’s punishment for Persephone wasn’t so bad and how she shouldn’t have asked about the letter in the first place. Yeah, maybe she shouldn’t have and maybe the punishment wouldn’t be so bad, if Zeus was fair about it.
Zeus is failing Persephone on purpose so nobody can use her fertility goddess powers against him and overthrow him. He’s basically planning on keeping her in the mortal realm forever at this point, and that’s not fair. Even if Persephone hadn’t asked about the letter, he would have found some other reason to fail her. Like, can’t we all agree that failing her because Minthe had a pimple was stupid?  She was clearly healed.
And I don’t know, people getting onto Persephone asking about the letter kind of rubs me the wrong way.  I feel like that’s blaming someone for doing some mundane thing that sets an abuser off.  It reminds me of the third Harry Potter where Harry knows that the Dursleys are jerks, but he still hopes that maybe this one time, they’ll be reasonable and sign the permission slip for him to go to Hogsmeade.  Like, you can’t blame him for hoping that, and I feel like you can’t entirely Persephone for hoping for approval for a pretty reasonable request so long into her banishment (it’s not like she asked Zeus to send the latter the day after she got banished).
Plus, Zeus’s actions are selfish because not only is he hurting Persephone with all this, he’s hurting everyone else too, even common people in Olympus that had nothing to do with this whole conflict.  And that’s so reminiscent of every politician/person in power/etc. I’ve ever known that it makes it hard to see any of his actions as reasonable.
And him dangling freedom in front of Persephone and being like “Oh, you’re so close” is cruel, in my opinion.  He’s just stringing her along when he has no plans to lift her banishment when he has no reason to do so.  It reminds me of a douchebag boss that’s like “Oh, you’re so close to getting a promotion” when you’ve already bent over backwards at your job and gone beyond what’s expected of you.
So, yeah.  That’s my two cents.  Other than that, I love the budding friendship between Eris and Persephone and my boy Cerberus is back!

Lore Olympus Fast-Pass thoughts (211)
The cloud bursts. A bunch a' character analysis below.
Ok, starting good. Tearful reunion, that deflates things a little.
Oh damn? Turns out Hades and Cerbie could communicate telepathically all this time.
KRONOS HURT HIM WITH HADES' BODY??? I hope that bastard is rotting in Tartarus' stomach acid. Slowly and painfully.
Who was Cerbie's father again? I know he has a brother and I think his mother was Echidna???? Or Delphine? Was he one of Typhon's kids?
Snoots <3
I wish I could feel the tiniest bit less satisfied by Demeter making that face due to this completely predictable response. Her situation really is sad when you think about it, but...
Denial will only get you so far, Dems.
So will blatant, patronizing lies.
See, she keeps insisting that Hades only wants Perse as a crown jewel, but she wants her as a bonsai. Something meant to grow big stuffed and forced to conform to a small pot. Technically functional, but mostly a decoration to be tended to. Her daughter has just rattled of about how she literally just made a new important feature for one of the 3 godly realms, but that's just "rehabilitation". Like she just did a few hours of community service, not an accomplishment or something that needs her care specifically.
I mean, Hera is treated like a crown jewel by Zeus, so that's another point for her reasonable suspicions, but at the same time... again, I'm sorry if this is overly harsh, but I find it a bit hypocritical of her to accuse Hades of using her daughter as an emotional salve when she admitted during the trial that she had her because she was lonely. This situation is not word-for-word exactly like the original myth, where it was a completely valid interpretation that Persephone got forced into her role against her will, she is choosing to stay with Hades and she makes it clear that Demeter could be part of her happiness too. If she's going to kill a bunch of mortals with eternal winter and not do her job just because Persephone's outgrown her, then who is she really an emotional crutch for?
Hmm, so we are addressing Minthe first.
I think I remember that Rachel said on a tweet that she had finished writing the character arc of a character... for some unknown reason my mind went to Artemis first, but this makes a lot more sense. At least I really hope so.
I think I made my stance clear in the first one of these I made, but just to recap: I have enjoyed hating Minthe as a villain, but I also believe that she can and deserves to get better, whether you or Hades can forgive her or not. If she ends her story in a better place, at peace with herself then I will downright throw her a party and congratulate Rachel on writing such an utterly satisfying character.

Sooo, the other day I made a post about how much I'm in love with Lore Olympus then noticed that I misspelled something; so I edited it and when it said that the edited version was posted, I deleted what I thought was the original only to find out that it was still the same post😅😅😅.... So here's a shorter version of that post (since I can't remember what I originally said):
Sooo, Lore Olympus is my new favorite thing ever! I love Greek mythology, mythology in general is one of my favorite things but Greek mythology (well, technically it would be Greco-Roman mythology but I prefer the Greek versions) is probably my favorite, so Lore Olympus becoming a new obsession was pretty much a no-brainer. Hades and Persephone are so pure!! Zeus is every bit as much of an ass as he always is; Hera is Queen; dude-bro Poseidon is great; Artemis is great; Hecate is bestie; Eros is the best; Hermes is also the best; Cerberus is best dog... okay, I'll end my rambling there but seriously Lore Olympus is amazing!
