Sokka had been briefed on the basic facts. He knew the seneschal's name was Zuko, that he was about Sokka's age, that he had been banished by his father at age thirteen, that he had been the steward of Aang's planet for the last twenty-five spans. But he felt distinctly unprepared when this man, forgotten by time, closed in on him. In his thirty spans of conflict against the Fire Nation, Sokka had never seen the Phoenix King in person, though he had seen the illustrations—including one made of noodles, courtesy of Aang. He had wondered, sometimes, what the man himself might look like in the flesh, liberated from the artist's stylised brush; wondered too whether the portraits' aristocratic handsomeness was a vanity, smoothing over a weak chin or crooked nose. But the identifying difference between the Phoenix King's early portraits and the man approaching Sokka now was the large burn scar over one eye, wrapping over to his ear and streaking down over his cheek.

And I didn’t mix sexy talk with everyday talk! I was just saying how much I liked that face you make. It makes me think of fucking your throat. It’s not my fault you practically deep throat his sausages in front of me while moaning.
“Wow,” Sokka mutters, poking at the fire to keep it from burning too hot. “Rude.” Or…something. He isn’t sure whether to be pleased or indignant. Did Zuko really have to say 'his'?
And anyway, you just did it yourself!
No! Sokka absolutely did not just mix—
Haikus like that definitely count!
“That’s art!” Sokka huffs, settling firmly on indignant. Art isn’t the same as sexy talk! He wanted to show the kinds of poetry he'd found. It was an example, it just happened to be talking about Zuko’s dick. That’s different.
…At least Zuko knew what he was making a haiku about about this time.
You put them right after you talked about how you and Bato got horny on the same spring scrolls, that is absolutely—
“What,” Sokka squawks, ignoring the startled look Tivjak sends him and nearly dropping Zuko’s letter into the fire in his surprise because oh, yuck, that’s not—that’s not what—that didn’t happen.
…Right?
Sokka stares for another moment, then he shoves the rest of the letter into his pocket unread, scrambling to his feet. “Watch the soup for a minute?” he asks, already looking around for Suki who will definitely, absolutely, please, please, please tell him that Zuko is wrong.

Were you named after anyone? No. My middle name is my grandma’s middle name, but that’s all.
When was the last time you cried? Oof. I cried at work because I was stressed out and exhausted. My boss lectured me the next day about how unprofessional that was. I quit at the end of that week.
Do you have kids? Nope! I’ll never birth a kid, but when I’m financially stable and have a good support system for a child I’d love to raise one. I’m a big “it takes a village” believer.
Do you use sarcasm a lot? Not really.
What’s the first thing you notice about people? Their faces, and specifically their eyes. I find most people at least a little attractive, but I feel like you can read a lot about someone in their eyes.
What’s your eye color? Brown. The kind that looks honey-gold in the right light, which I enjoy.
Scary movies or happy endings? Both! All of the above. I need a little of both in my life. Real life doesn’t usually wrap up neatly, so happy endings are cathartic to me.
Any special talents? Hm. I think im pretty clever? Usually?
Where were you born? Cheese state! Wisconsin, USA.
What are your hobbies? Drawing, reading, writing, biking, rock climbing, hiking, playing video games, researching my interests, gardening, volunteering (community service stuff), knitting, puzzle-solving (crossword puzzles, logic puzzles, video games, escape rooms, riddles, etc), sculpting (clay, mostly), sewing, crafting, painting, kayaking, swimming. I’m interested in picking up crocheting, cosplay, and skateboarding/rollerblading.
Have any pets? A long-haired blonde tabby cat, yes!
What sports do you play/have you played? Several. As a kid I played soccer, softball, basketball, and colorguard. I don’t do sports competitively anymore. I suppose rock climbing and kayaking count though?
How tall are you? 5’5”.
Favorite subject in school? Tough question! I enjoyed English class, World History, and Art. In college, my film studies classes were some of my favorites.
Dream job? Well…I do hope to get a job in animation/film, but I love the idea of working a coffee shop someday. I really enjoyed being a barista.

Nine People You'd Like To Get To Know Better
I was tagged by @lizardlicks! I actually started writing this a few days ago and then forgot about it whoops
Relation Status: Dating/seeing someone, but not monogamous
Favorite Color: I fall in love with colors every day, but I always come back to turquoise/teal
Sweet/Spicy/Savory: Is this asking my preference? I think my preference is savory. I really like complex flavors.

First ever ship: Hmm. This is such a tough question because like I shipped Rapunzel/Eugene from Tangled when I watched it in theaters as a child, but was it a ship I sought out content for online? Nah. I remember searching up Coraline/Wyborn on deviantart? My first *diehard otp* that I drew a lot of art of and wrote fic for was probably Eridan/Karkat.
Last Song: a bunch of Christmas music I’ve been listening to. Maybe Jingle Bell Rock?
Last Film: LMAO it was Lifeforce (1985). My dad apparently has fond memories of that film and we watched it together last night. I think it was okay? I mean it was…unique! The effects were a little terrible but in an affectionate way, you know? It reminded me of Ghostbusters in a lot of ways.
Last thing I Googled: the name of that movie lmao. But before that I was searching up the best way to get rid of musty cat piss smell. First result was 1:1 water and vinegar btw
Currently Reading: a lot of nonfiction books on leatherworking.
Currently Watching: uhhh nothing atm.
Currently Consuming: baked oatmeal! If you hate oatmeal because you feel it’s slimy and gross try baking it.

Current Obsession(s): Boy I’m straddling like eight different obsessions at any given time, it’s an art (Baten Kaitos, vanlife/tiny houses, leatherwork, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, Slay the Princess.) A month ago it was Baldur’s Gate 3 and Dungeon Meshi and the month before that it was Warframe.

Papercraft commissions
This is my info page for large-scale commissions. For smaller commissions, see here.

What can I commission?
In general, I prefer to only take commissions for papercrafts of art (or fanart) that the requester/receiver has rights for, or gets permission to use.
On a case-by-case basis, I will also consider commissions based on small portions of larger, canonical artwork. (For example, screencaps, individual comic panels, or promotional artwork from large franchises.)
I can also work from photos for $15 extra preparation charge.
Prices are based on art complexity and my work time, and a typical full commission would run from $50-$150. I can provide you with an estimate and a price-cap ahead of time. Completion may take from 1 week to several months; please let me know if timing is important.
I don’t take commissions for creating custom base art, except for small originals!
Thanks so much to lizardlicks, spockandawe, valeriannnn, and whomackenzie/livielightyear who have offered any of their existing art as commissionable for papercraft.
If you commission an artist for lineart to have me papercrafted, make sure you let them know it is for that purpose and get their okay for that.
