what i've been working on

I've been in a bit of creative crisis the past couple weeks. It's hard to describe other than a bizarre self consciousness in writing... I can't seem to get it started. It'll pass, as they all do, but it's very frustrating atm. I keep having to remind myself that having writer's block isn't the giant existential dilemma that it feels like LOL Take a walk, do other creative things, try again.

Ozark Magic and Folklore by Vance Randolph Staying With The Trouble by Donna J. Haraway Fathoms: A Mermay Zine - really fucking incredible zine, I'm glad I managed to nab a pdf. Incredible artwork and coordination! still making my way through Gideon the Ninth. I can tell this will become one of my favorites. It's so damn stylish.

what i watched

I caught up completely with the new Pokemon anime and it's so fucking good ok please watch it. I love all the new characters so much. There's this punk rock Nurse Joy who ran away from home and she's my favorite. weekly Utena sessions going fabulously Licca-chan: The Mysterious Magic Bracelet - an old two-episode anime OVA based on the Licca-chan doll line... A deep cut to be sure, but it was super cute ok slowly watching Witch From Mercury as well

I've been watching the Critical Role squad do a little Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom oneshot and it's been great fun BLACK CHRISTMAS Before & After "Me Too" by Maggie Mae Fish Tim Burton's World of Sadboys by Infinite Snow Productions Development Secrets of the Original Kirby by Masahiro Sakurai on Creating Games I also heard about this really cool project where a dude acquired just heaps and heaps of old tapes of retro gaming stuff that was going to be thrown away and he's painstakingly going through and putting it all up on youtube which is the coolest. Licca Stylish Collection x Hello Kitty

One of my recent Licca buys was this lovely girl!  I bought her with the intention of deboxing, but upon washing/styling her hair I realized that I’d prefer to enjoy the gorgeous, luxurious in-box presentation so I packed her back up to keep as an NiB display doll. I have plenty of gorgeous Licca dolls that I like to play with, and this box is just so beautiful that I couldn’t bring myself to ruin it.  I replaced the ties with white ribbon and put her freshly washed and styled hair in a hairnet for safekeeping and for aesthetics lol

I’m still on a low-buy to focus on setting up my doll room (and I’m not playing with many dolls right now either), but I’m really enjoying the dolls I have been getting lol
