what is laura's option on kitty?

HMMM. Okay first off for the purposes of this post Logan is still dead. Lets run through their canon interactions:

In her handful of appearances in Claremont's second run in Uncanny, Laura is roommates with Rachel and Kitty, but the one time we see them interact is when they get into a fight, and it's clear that Laura didn't like or trust Kitty at the time.

Kitty was the one that gave the eulogy at the memorial service for Laura's dead classmates, but she also wasn't around a lot and doesn't seem to have been close with the students (Kitty was a teacher at the time). Sometime in between giving the eulogy and the Utopia era Kitty was trapped in a space bullet, and by the time she came back Laura had left.

Later on, during All-New X-Men vol 1, the time displaced O5 and Kitty rescue Laura immediately post murderworld, so Laura joins with the time-displaced X-Men, who were at the time being... chaperoned? By Kitty. So for a few months to maybe a year, Laura was a minor/young adult nominally under Kitty's care, but I don't recall her taking responsibility for Laura at that time, at least not in the way she did for, say, Jean. To be clear, that isn't a critique of Kitty-- I don't think Laura would have reacted well to someone she didn't know treating her, to her mind, like a child.

Also, there's an exception to that! In Laura's issue of The Logan Legacy, in the direct aftermath of Logan dying, we see Kitty attempt to comfort Laura. Laura reacts very badly to this, and leaves the group.

While this isn't a direct Kitty and Laura interaction, I would be remiss not to mention that Kitty was one of the last people to talk to Logan, and probably the last person Logan considered family that he talked to. In the time between Logan losing his healing factor and him dying, I don't actually recall him interacting with Laura at all, though there may have been references to interactions that took place off-screen.

Kitty and Laura may have had other interactions in the past five years but I don't care. I also should be very clear that I don't know enough about Kitty to say if any of her interactions with Laura were in character.

So, from Laura's side of things, I think she tries her best to have a Staunchly Neutral opinion of Kitty. I think she's quietly resentful of the fact that Kitty knew Logan longer, and from a younger age, and that she saw Logan shortly before he died. Laura respects her because she knows that Logan respected her, but they aren't close.
