So I basically redrew the whole thing and because it was otherwise too boring to draw everything just the way I did before I changed the clothing.

Coffee Break (2015 and 2023)

It’s so easy to just focus on the flaws and the things you can’t draw yet but it’s always good to look back and see the improvement. 😊 It was one of the first pieces I did digitally and I still remember how long it took me. I had way more patience back then apparently. 😅

If you ever wanted to make me cry and take an elaborate request, I'd love to see your take on Haymitch remembering his family/his girl in a half-drunken haze. Or even his devastation after the announcement of the Third Quarter Quell and he's remembering snippets of his Games while drunk at his kitchen table! :'(

#the hunger games #haymitch abernathy #tw: death #not sure how else to tag this but I hope that the tw is okay #one thing I love about thg is how the narrative handles haymitch #with dignity and grace #in other media the drunk character is almost always portrayed negatively #and they only get redeemed if they get sober #haymitch most likely never will #but it never diminishes his character and his worth #anyway this pic turned out very dark #it’s meant to be one of haymitch‘s nightmares #haunted by how he found his mother little brother and his girl after his hunger games

Aww, that's so sweet. 🙈 Tbh, I didn't expect many notes because the fandom has moved on but I still wanted to finish it. I reached the zen-like artist moment where you sometimes just draw a piece because you like it. 😚

Cresswell are my babies so I just wanted to draw them because I love them so much.

Don't feel bad, no one is obligated to reblog anything and for me, it's also nice to draw TLC to see how far I've come since I've started drawing. But of course I appreciate every note and comment. So a big thanks to everyone who gives me feedback of any kind!

At the top of his file was a three-dimensional holograph scanned in from his military graduation. Cress preferred it to the infamous prison photo that had become so popular, the one in which he was winking at the camera, because in the holograph he was wearing a freshly pressed uniform with shiny silver buttons and a confident, one-sided grin.

Seeing that smile, Cress melted.

It’s too bad those two never really hugged in canon, right?

And if there’s one part of the story where they really needed a hug it would be in the beginning of "Mockingjay", so this is where I would place this picture:

It’s not the happiest hug but I feel that’s when they would need one the most.
