E, aí sim, começa a contagem regressiva. Continua... @prof.lucianodornelles #GreatWallOfChina #everest #lhotse #sergioxavierfilho #bernardofonseca #maraton #escalade (em Yumen) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqBgnCDu6h4/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Inarrestabile Nirmal: Everest-Lhotse senza ossigeno in 26 ore
Inarrestabile Nirmal: Everest-Lhotse senza ossigeno in 26 ore

Juan Diego Martinez Alvarez has reached new heights. At the age of 19, Alvarez became the youngest Mexican in Guinness World Record history to reach the top of Mount Everest, the highest mountain above sea level in the world.
Tumblr media
“Absolutely nothing is impossible when you believe in yourself,” Alvarez wrote on social media. “I would like to thank all the people who were supporting us with their prayers, messages, good vibes, etc. Special thanks to my parents for accompanying me to the base camp and my family for always being so attentive.”
Alvarez, who is from Jalisco, Mexico, reached the top of Mount Everest on May 15, 2022. When he got there, he broke another record by playing a song on a keyboard that he carried with him. According to Alvarez, the record he now holds is for the highest altitude piano/keyboard performance.
Along with his keyboard and all his climbing gear, Alvarez also brought the Mexican flag to hold up proudly when he reached the top of Mount Everest.
Twenty-seven hours after his record-breaking trek, Alvarez broke another record by becoming the youngest Mexican in history to climb Mount Lhotse, the fourth highest mountain in the world.
On social media, Alvarez thanked his fellow climbers.
It was a pleasure to be taking on these massive mountains,” he wrote. This time climbing in the death zone was something else.”

Next Wednesday I will be posting the first chapter of my new DNF fanfic “Every Mountain Tells a Story.”
The title comes from a quote by Tenzing Norgay, the first person to reach the summit of Mount Everest (along with Sir Edmund Hilary):
"A mountain tells a million stories, all you have to do is listen."
The fic will follow Dream, George, and other climbers as they attempt to summit Mount Everest. In addition to Everest, key scenes will take place on K2, the second highest mountain in the world, and Lhotse, Everest’s “little sister” and the fourth highest mountain in the world.
The label on the tin is “ex-friends to lovers,” but I like to think it’s so much more than that. It’s a story about mountains, about the drive to climb and the thrill of achieving a goal. It’s about how little those things actually matter when you lose the people you love along the way. It’s about those single moments that change your life forever. It’s about learning to trust again after you’ve been hurt, and learning to trust the person who hurt you.
On Tuesday I will post some images that will provide a visual for chapter one. I will continue to do this for each chapter, so that you will be able to picture the settings and follow along on the journey. You do not need to know a single thing about high-altitude mountaineering to read this.
I've been working on this for a long time and I'm so proud of it. I can't wait to share it with you.
