Do not think I'll get over the fact that Molly encourages the idea that he's always had a string of lovers, lets people believe he goes off with someone new or visits brothels every night, and the whole thing is just...just because he doesn't want anyone to find out he's got this bleeding heart.

That his "choir practice" is him risking his life to save some strangers he's never met. That he's this compassionate, fiercely loyal protector who believes, "The truth is...How do I put this...the world is harsh and cruel, and I don't seem to be able to just walk on by."

That he has this reputation for being a shameless flirt with countless partners, and just...as far as we know, he only ever had one relationship. And after she died, he carried her cards and wore her coat every day, kept her close to his heart and never said a word about it. Not until he admits to Yasha that he's lonely, that he wishes he still had someone. The way Molly is grieving and mourning a partner just like Yasha, and no one ever knew.

The way Lucien couldn't believe that Jester found him "dreamy," the way people only ever saw him as a demon and monster for so long. Waking up as Kingsley and still looking for the love he lost. Still falling for Caleb. Tealeaf keeping so much close to the chest, afraid to let himself be too vulnerable. Only ever trusting his heart with a few. Wanting so badly to be good, to be loved, to be whole. Worshipping the goddess of love herself. Writing down, "Love. It binds us. It frees us. What more needs be said?"

Reccer 1 Says: I loooooove Yeza's characterization his dynamic with not just Veth and Caleb but the rest of the nein is great Reccer 2 Says: I always love any story fleshing out Yeza and his personality+motivations, and this one does it so well! His patience and kindness in letting Nott persue Caleb, and then his own developing feelings, are just so endearing and fun to read about.

There's more to our work than just creating new articles. It was a quieter month, but we've done some work outside of regular updates.

Residuum received an overhaul to cover its role throughout the campaigns. Brokenbank's history was fleshed out to include its role in the Tide of Retribution adventure and missing mentions from Campaign 2.

The Q&A portion of "Liam's Quest" was also added, both questions AND answers, and Adelaide Bluebutton from "The Return of Liam" (or, "The Screw Job") is no longer a series of empty sections.

If you'd like to contribute to the wiki but don't know how, don't worry! Small edits like spelling and grammar corrections, adding reference timestamps, sticking {{cite}} at the end of unsourced statements, or updating out-of-date information is important work.

It wasn't rare to see the tiefling space out. Lost in thought. Trapped in memories. Empty. Empty. Their voice didn't speak, but their lips moved, the consonants barely audible. Lestera's funeral had not been too long ago. Molly was sure that's why the dissociation was happening more and more often. Their eyes close, nails dig into their forearms as they try to block out the sounds. The rabid screeches. The eyes.

The touch to their jaw is what pulls them from the waking nightmare. Their breath catches in their chest as their eyes snap open, head following the direction in which the hand was guiding them, and there, they can see the blonde beauty of the songstress looking at them with concern.

"...hello, darlin'..." their voice is soft, lips quirk up and into a soft smile before taking her hand and kissing along her knuckles, just like they knew she liked. "Sorry 'bout that. All is well now...thank ye kindly for snappin' me outta it."

WIP Wednesday: The Fool and the Soldier, Ch. 2 (Cards)

The Fool and the Soldier is now up on AO3, updated every other Friday. This is an off-week, so here is a snippet from next week’s chapter! Commentary on Chapter 1 will go up on Friday.

Fanfic Summary: Mollymauk Tealeaf survived the Mighty Nein's encounter with the Iron Shepherds on Glory Run Road, but a short time later, a spirit began hunting him, claiming that he stole his body. This Campaign 2 AU begins with Episode 26 and continues on from there.

“What’s that you’re working on?” Caduceus asked curiously.

Molly answered without breaking his gaze on the paper, “Changing up one of my cards.” He finished a slow stroke with the brush, then held it up to show Caduceus. The freshly painted image was a fairly accurate depiction of their cart, including the flowers and decorations Jester had started added to it. Partially hidden by Molly’s thumb was an upside-down chariot pulled by two horses.

“Oh, that’s nice,” Caduceus drawled. “Did you make all of your cards?”

Molly grinned at the compliment. “Thank you. Not all of them. I used to be a member of the Fletching and Moondrop Traveling Carnival of Curiosities,” the words rolled out smoothly, as though he had said that phrase hundreds of times, “and Lestera, the prior fortune teller, gifted me her deck. I’ve been making the cards my own since then.”

Caducues nodded with a smile. “I don’t know much about that, but it sounds great.”

“You haven’t heard of fortunetelling?” Molly asked, his voice raising slightly with excitement.

“Ah, I mean, I can do some divinations and pray to the Wildmother,” Caduceus answered. “But I think you mean something different, right?”

“This is a Moon oracle deck,” Molly explained as he withdrew the rest of his cards from his coat with his free hand. “Using them is my way of worshiping the Moonweaver. We’ve gotta be subtle about it in the Empire—both the Moonweaver and the Wildmother are ‘unapproved’ deities, so the authorities take offense if you’re too open about it.”

“What?” Caduceus balked. That didn’t make sense. “How can someone ‘unapprove’ a goddess?”

Molly shrugged. “By making it illegal to worship them openly. It’s ridiculous. But keep it to yourself, and there shouldn’t be any issue with the Crownsguard. I mean, look at my coat.” He showed off several symbols, though Caduceus only recognized a few of them in the low light—Pelor’s sun symbol and the Moonweaver’s moonbow. “I’m obviously an entertainer, and it’s so over the top that they don’t take it seriously. They think it’s part of my aesthetic. Well, that’s not wrong, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t sincere either.”

Caduceus hummed as he thought over his belongings. He had a pin of Melora’s symbol under his breastplate, but he doubted he would have much chance to show that off anywhere. It would be easy enough to keep that hidden.

“What’s that new card mean?” Caduceus asked after a short silence.

“I needed one for pace,” Molly explained, “so The Chariot is for speed, urgency, and ambition. The Cart is for slowing down and taking time to enjoy something.”

Caduceus looked it over again, unsure how a card could mean both of those things. “The cards have two meanings?”

“How about I show you?” Molly smiled, his eyeteeth betraying a hint of mischief. “I’ll do a card reading for you, as thanks for the tea.” He put The Chariot & The Cart to the side, then rapidly began shuffling his deck, the various cards spinning and mixing. Caduceus could barely track Molly’s hands, and just as he thought his eyes began keeping up, Molly stopped and placed the deck on the fabric between them. “Draw three cards and place them face down in front of you. The Moonweaver will tell you a story: your situation, action, and outcome.”

Caduceus’s ear twitched as he raised a brow. “You want me to draw on your cards?”

Molly’s face went blank for a moment, then he barked a laugh that he quickly stifled to a snicker. “It means to pull cards from the deck. Choose three.” Weird turn of phrase, but Caduceus nodded and took three cards from the top of the pile and placed them in front of him in a stack. Molly chuckled again, then pulled three cards to place in front of himself in a horizontal line with each card laid vertically. “Like this.”

“Ah, I see,” Caduceus drawled as he moved his cards to match. “I take it the position is important?”

“It’s how you know which card is which,” Molly explained, his hands waving around for emphasis. He pointed at the left card. “First is your situation. Flip the card whichever way you want and the side facing you is what the Moonweaver selected.”

Caduceus thought it over a moment, but quickly realized that he had no way of knowing which way to flip the card. He flipped it the long way, to reverse whatever had laid underneath. It was a house? No, a wagon made to look like a tiny house, with a door and a window on the side and a lantern hanging from the corner, pulled by a strong horse as it rolled atop a tiny world. At the bottom, the label read Traveler, and another label was illegible at the top.

Molly grinned and explained. “That’s the Traveler. It symbolizes a new journey and experiences—the open road, unexpected encounters, or a stranger. First time traveling from home?”

Caduceus nodded. That was right on the nose. “What’s that on the other side?”

“Home,” Molly said as he spun the card around so Caduceus could see clearly: a quaint cottage with lights visible in the windows sat atop the tiny world. “That’s the prelude to or the end of a journey, back home with familiar things like family. But only the side facing you is part of your reading.”

A slight pang cinched the center of Caduceus’s chest at that. Already homesick? That wouldn’t do. He dispelled it with a slow breath, choosing not to dwell on it.

“I get it,” Caduceus noted, keeping his voice even. “It’s kind of like two cards in one.”

Molly grinned. “Precisely.”

Fargo 5 sezona

Usrali su malo sa Woke feminizmom i egalitarizmom… Ja očekujem više ludila, a manje popovanja i lekcija. Ideja Farga je antisocijalnost, dakle ljudska beda i drama ljudske bede, a ne "Angry Feminist" i "Egalitarian" lekcije. Tako da ukakili su. Svidelo mi se prvih par epizoda gde je žena borac i pravi ludosti sa otmičarima, ali čak i Heroji u Fargu moraju biti samo ili Bedni ili Slabi Ljudi na kraju. To je moj pogled.

Tako da čak i policajac i policajka koji su nesumnjivo heroji u prvoj sezoni su opet neki smotanci i uplašeni slabići. Smotanko Policajac je ubio Lorne Malvoa, a Smotanka Policajka je navatala Lestera na kraju.

Meni čak i 4.sezona poprilično odstupa od antisocijalne ideje već je više mafijaška zezancija, dok su prve 3 sezone genijalne

So, um… I’m alive!

Look, in my defense it has been a hectic few weeks, and I have barely had time to sit down, much less write. I haven’t really gotten far, but I’ve on break from class as now, so hopefully I can write some more.

Anyway, here’s something I wrote yesterday instead of working on NoV because my brain is terrible at concentrating on the one and only thing I want it to focus on. This is the Last Will and Testament of Claudia Kincaird-Rosesorrow, the main character of NoV and BtV as a whole. I had a good time messing around with it, though the fact that I actually had to write this out doesn’t exactly bode well for this character.

The Last Will and Testament of

Lady Claudia Kincaird-Rosesorrow of

the Noble House of Rosesorrow

I, Lady Claudia Kincaird-Rosesorrow of the Noble House of Rosesorrow, Lady of House Rosesorrow, High Sorcerer of the Ember Eyes, Third Daughter of the House of Kincaird, and Member of the Lesteras am an adult residing in the Mare Stellarum, 2948 Noble District, Aver, Narele, and being sound of mind, declare this to be my Last Will and Testament. I revoke all wills and codicils previously made by me, not that there will be any.

Article 1

I appoint Heiress Iya Kincaird of the House of Kincaird, Heir to and Second Daughter of the House of Kincaird, Member of the Lesteras, and former member of the Church of the Golden Flame, as my Personal Representative to administer this Will. If Heiress Iya Kincaird of the House of Kincaird is unwilling or unable to serve, then I appoint Evangeline Kincaird of the House of Kincaird, member of the Brurian University, Member of the Lesteras, and First Daughter of the House of Kincaird to serve as my Personal Representative.

I hereby bequeath my book collection to Evangeline Kincaird of the House of Kincaird, member of the Brurian University, Member of the Lesteras, and First Daughter of the House of Kincaird. Do what you want with them, Eva. Sell them, keep, them, donate them to the LIbrary of Souls. I don’t particularly care.

I hereby bequeath my original copy of Eliora’s Guide to Portal Theory, and if you somehow manage to find my body, the Necklace of Viernar to the construct known as Antimony, caretaker of the Library of Souls and member of the Lesteras. I would give the rest of the Rosesorrow Vault to you as well, my friend, but even this is pushing it, seeing as I’m giving things to someone who technically is dead.

I hereby bequeath the Mare Stellarum, leadership over the Lesteras, my silver pocketwatch (if you manage to find it), and all my journals of blackmail to Heiress Iya Kincaird, Heir to and Second Daughter of the House of Kincaird, Member of the Lesteras, and former member of the Church of the Golden Flame. I hope you will continue the work that the Lesteras does, but if you wish to abdicate to someone else, do that. Don’t let the obligation of trying to make my spirit proud of you or some nonsense stop you from what you want to do. If you do leave the Lesteras, let them have the Mare Stellarum as a headquarters. That is what it’s built for.

I hereby bequeath my cane and my magical knives, if you can find them, to Mallory Icespire, member of the Lesteras. They was made for our bloodline’s magic, so it should work perfectly fine for you, give or take a bit of Rosesorrow magic. Use it to destroy our birth family or something. Though, considering you are coming to fight the Prince of Limbo with me, I’m not sure if you’ll even be alive to have it, but if you do survive, you get this. Congratulations, I suppose.

I hereby bequeath all of Angela Barmond’s journals and my collection of dried herbs to Ankis Brice, member of the Lesteras. I’m not sure if you’ll even be able to get it, seeing as you’re coming with me, but I put it in here regardless. Just don’t use them to poison anybody.

I hereby bequeath all of my childhood toys to Arn Aloro, and I hope you remember fondly of all of the days we spent together. Not that you’ll probably get it, seeing as you're coming with me. Thank you for telling the truth when you said I would die on this mission and trying to get me to not go. It was kind of you, but ultimately in vain. I’m sorry about that.
