Wow, the Code Geass parallels certainly are real, even the professional sites have taken note of the similiarities. 

I never saw a full episode of Code Geass, but if Eren’s ending was supposed to be in the same vein as Lelouch vi Britanna’s, that was a flat out fucking failure. Making himself the enemy may have been a stunt that worked for Code Geass’ narrative, but for Attack on Titan the decision to make Eren evil and to have him (Allegedly!) make heroes of his friends by uniting the world against himself is a decision that gets more idiotic the longer you examine it. And it is NOT helped by all those crass and cringeworthy revelations and confessions of the final chapter, that destroyed any credibility a Code Geass-style conclusion might have warranted. I dunno if global genocide factored into Lelouch’s plans for turning the gun on himself, but Eren not only fucked the world, he fucked his own people in the long run, if you take the extra panels as canonical. And Eren certainly does not have the brains for his desired effect to actually take hold, only the bloodlust to see him to the point where fate takes control away from him. After all this kid engineered a fucking time loop where he left himself open to his friends’ retaliation after the Shiganshina battle and ONCE AGAIN, my brain is beginning to hurt from trying to decipher the utter idiocy Isayama shat out here. 

Also glad these folks at CBR took note of Mikasa’s damaging attraction to Eren. WHY does Eremika still have fans? Who are these deluded fans? Because these fools are making Sasuke and Sakura look valid by comparison. Mikasa’s character plunged into oblivion. BECAUSE OF EREN. She’s nothing outside of Eren. She’s just an extension of him. 

This story ended with the Ocean. Maybe these AOT fans need to cleanse their fanatical brains with a GOOD anime. Let’s all put on Code Geass instead.
