Spent the afternoon making bases for Black Knights/Hexwraiths in my Nighthaunt army. I’m not sure what happened to the cobblestones but they didn’t turn out as I was planning. They still look ok though, and loosely match the bases in the rest of the army.

I’ll be looking to get the unit painted soon, but for now it’s back to more Genestealer Cult characters.

Euphy: Okay, I'm sold.

Ohgi: We'll take turns sharing favorable observations about a person. Everybody here will eventually get a turn, especially as we get to know each other better.

Darlton: I see the sense in this exercise, but I don't like the implications.

Ohgi: It is necessary for our two sides to come together. For now, everyone say something nice about Zero.

Zero: *sits up straighter, awaiting praise*

Darlton: Let's get this over with. Ugh. Zero, you are obviously brilliant.

Diethard: Zero, you know how to steal a spotlight and capture your audience.

Ohgi: Zero, you know how to motivate people from all backgrounds to work together.

Tohdoh: Zero, you impressively keep your head on the battlefield.

Euphy: Zero, even if you try to hide it, you have a kind heart with wonderful values focused on freedom, equality, and justice for all people. I'll also throw in an extra, that you would absolutely make an amazing brother because of your core character.

Darlton: *seething at Euphy's overflowing positivity towards Zero*

Black Knights: ...Okay. That's a little weird, but okay.

Rakshata: Moving on. Zero, you treat my children with respect.

Cecile: I don't really know you, Zero, but you saved my young friend Suzaku in his hour of need. I appreciate how you risked yourself for Suzaku's sake. You bravely put yourself on the line.

Lloyd: I don't know you either. But Zero, you certainly have made things interesting~!

Kirihara: Zero, you have integrity. You have consistently kept your word to make things better for the Japanese people.

Kallen: Zero, I can't choose just one thing. Everything about you is perfect.

Zero: I am indeed fantastic in all these ways. Kururugi, you've been suspiciously silent. Everyone else has acknowledged how magnificent I am. Take your turn.

Suzaku: Zero, you're a passionate kisser.

By Wakka. Have some Black Knight Rolo as we used to know him. The text next to him says “Rolo's 16. That is why.“, which is probably meant to explain the shorts.

The hamsters are probably a reference to these fellows. (Text: Luluhama and Rolohama and Lulu and Rolo.)

As far as the other Black Knights are concerned: shorts are really not for everyone. The text above their heads says something like “Selfishness is just like youth.“, which is a line from a song from 1982 called Zig Zag Seventeen by a Japanese boy band named Shibugakitai. Maybe that explains their weird hand gestures.

You know, if the Black Knights had just restrained Lelouch and let him explain everything that went down, maybe things would've worked out better. Like,

"What did you do to Euphemia?!"

"I accidentally used my Geass; It's getting harder to control. check with CC if you don't trust me"

Or

"Why did you leave us?!"

"I had to save my sister. And then my father used his Geass to erase and rewrite memories. Satisfied?"

Like I get that it's easier said than done for them to trust Lelouch, but come on! They barely let him finish a sentence!
