Some Ritsu-related drawings I made a few months back! Most of them before I finalized his story, funny enough lol.
I was hoping to color these and finish them but I haven't gotten around to it so I figured I'd just post what I had now and upload final versions later if applicable!
Featuring: Ritsus comparison; pmd!Ritsu and Rex; wip concept for pla!Ritsu's team before I finalized it; and finally, projecting my cat owner instinct based on the concept of "what if Quilavas had Super Soft Fluffy Tummies"

Here is an an open letter on the Open Gaming License, to Wizards of the Coast.
Looking at the names signed at the bottom, it includes big names: Mage Hand Press, DM Dave, Sly Flouish, Foundry VTT, Kibbles, Midnight Quills, Czepeku, Wyrmworks Publishing, Alchemy RPG, LegendKeeper, and so many more. (I respect all of the creators even if I didn’t include them, I’m just not reprinting all of them in terms of keeping a respectable length of this post).
This letter has been vetted by (at least one) lawyers and other PR services to make sure that what they are saying is factually correct (to avoid legal troubles) and summarized in a way that is easier to understand (to non intellectual property attorneys).

The Open Gaming License (OGL) is a legal framework that allows creators to use the rules and ideas of roleplaying games in their own works.
However, Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has announced an updated OGL (version 1.1)—an attempt to dismantle the entire RPG industry. This new license intends to completely revoke the old OGL, a perpetual license designed to be irrevocable.
Nothing about this new license is “open”.
No matter the creator, it locks everyone into a new contract that restricts their work, makes it mandatory to report their projects and revenues to Wizards of the Coast, and gives WotC the legal right to reproduce and resell creators’ content without permission or compensation.
For the largest creators in the industry, WotC is imposing an impossible tax of 25%—based on their total sales, not profit. This is anti-competitive, monopolistic behavior designed to crush small businesses
Games such as Pathfinder 1E and 2E, 13th Age, Fudge, and Traveller—which use the 1.0 OGL as the backbone of their existence—will need to cease sales of upcoming products or give WotC 25% of their revenue to stay in compliance with the new license.
Virtual tabletops (VTTs) cannot operate.
Diversity in the industry will shrink away, as projects from marginalized creators are effectively written out of the future.
#OpenDnD is a rallying cry under which creators and fans have unified to demand that WotC revoke the draconian 1.1 OGL and pledge to support the existing 1.0 OGL into future editions of their games. This isn’t an opportunity to litigate and tinker with a new license, but to return to the values of open gaming. Our community deserves an open future if we want our favorite games to not only survive, but thrive!!
If you are a creator, #DontSign the new agreement. If you love roleplaying games, let WotC know we won't support them without an #OpenDnD!
WotC has shown that they are the dragon on top of the hoard, willing to burn the thriving village if only to get a few more gold pieces. It’s time for us to band together as adventurers to defend our village from the terrible wyrm.

One of my players got me access to LegendKeeper to act as a wiki for our ongoing TTRPG campaign and while it's useful and intuitive, it has the same effect on me as TVTropes, ie., editing for 4+ hours at a time and forgetting about every single bodily function including eating, sleeping, and using the washroom
It's... a problem.

Ugh when you wanna use Scrivener because you can post images and shit on it but you CAN'T because you're using your Steam Deck as a pc and it's got Manuskript (which is amazing no lie I just can't post pictures I think?)
Ain't no way I'm gonna show off my power level on my TV PC when the fam is home
There's streaming it to the Deck but like.. My fam uses my pc to stream stuff on occasion 🙃
And LegendKeeper but I haven't used it in ages gah
I wanna WRITE AND DOODLE but I'm in a vidya games mood

The brown rabbit came back. I believe it was the same one. This time, it came to encourage me to go to a Legendkeeping moot to tell the tales Clan Laprine told to me.
I took my focusing drug again. I know I shouldn’t take it so often; twice in two weeks has had some detrimental effects on my body, and I could feel the sickness fighting to take hold during the meeting.
I think I was late because someone had already taken the rock, had already begun their poem by the time I arrived. I wish I could recall what it was about, but I have never had a head for verse. It went in one ear and out the other though I tried hard to pay attention.
I could feel myself growing weak, so when I thought a prompt had come from one named X’zirashah to take the rock, I said I would. She challenged me to fight her for it! Of all the things… I laughed it off. I saw how she moved, the strength in her muscles. Even with my magic, I likely would not have made it off that rock alive. I let her have it.
Her story was fascinating. The final line has stuck with me through my sickness, through the fog: “…only a monster can vanquish a monster.” Do I feel the truth of this deep within my soul in moments of pain and lucidity? How far have I fallen for revenge, even when I do not recall what retribution I seek? And is it so bad? She spoke proudly, and in some ways, I feel that same pride though I know my own people would scorn me for my paths.
I could not go after her though the call was lifted. I felt my head swimming and my aether too erratic. I regret that I felt too ill to pay enough attention to the next song, but I do recall its tune was soothing to my soul. It helped me regain my bearings and focus my aether once more so I could listen to the next two speakers.
The first was one J’kotah with an ambiguous tale. I believe the “moral” was meant to be that anything can be taken as blessing or as curse depending on the situation. But I heard some murmurs in the crowd about what the story meant, and one voice seemed almost familiar but a memory too distant to grasp.
Then one B’ren took the rock and told of the Boars’ way being to charge forward despite the circumstances, to strive for more than what is given.
By the end, I felt well enough for my own tale. I took the rock and spoke:
“Long ago, two, celestial sisters walked the skies together. Wherever they traveled, they brought light to the world, but they left darkness in their wake. The younger of the two, Menphina, often looked over her shoulder and slowed her pace, taking pity on those left in shadow while the elder, Azeyma, only looked forward to light her path.
“The more time passed, the wider the distance between the two grew until there was no day and no night, only a soft glow that always enveloped the world. Azeyma grew more and more frustrated by this. She missed the attention their collective vibrancy had given her, but she knew her soft-hearted sister would not willingly leave parts of the world in darkness for so long again. She decided she would find a way to force her sister to walk beside her.
“Unbeknownst to Azeyma, Menphina had made a friend, Kahlzec the Rabbit, among the creatures of the world. This friend often discussed the hardships of the never-ending glow. Creatures lost sleep. Plants either received too much or too little light and in the wrong increments. The rabbits had taken to digging underground tunnels to escape it. Knowing her sister well, Menphina also suspected Azeyma would be distress over the dulled shine, so the younger sister made her own plan.
“Neither Menphina nor Kahlzec knew how to put this idea into action, so Kahlzec plucked a bouquet of lilies for Nymeia, the Weaver, in exchange for advice. Under the Spinner’s careful guidance, the rabbit and the Lover were able to construct a beautiful cloak into which Menphina carefully embroidered much of her own aural glow.
“Soon after the construction was complete, Azeyma approached her sister with a golden rope. Sensing she had only moments to act, Menphina presented the soft, flowing cloak and said, ‘Azeyma, I have heard the cries of the world, and I have felt your sorrow. This world needs darkness as much as it craves light. I give you this cloak so you might light the world for half the time while I guide it with a glimmer at night.’
“Azeyma’s aggression paused, and she felt a rare hint of shame. ‘You would give me your light freely?’ She asked.
“’Yes,’ Menphina responded. ‘You are my sister, and my love for you is as strong as my knowledge of you. With this offering, we can give the world what it needs while fulfilling ourselves in kind.’
“Azeyma accepted gratefully, and with her cloak, she has been able to outshine all while bringing the day. Meanwhile, Menphina has ruled over the night, gently guiding those who would otherwise be lost to shadow.”
My story seemed to be well received, and it was the last of the evening, so I like to think that it will stick in people’s minds longer. The memory of Clan Laprine can live on in this way. I thank Kahlzec for sending me even a lowly messenger to help guide me to this path.
After that, the miqo’te all mingled for a time. Rabbit, my apprentice, took me aside to tell me that he had heard a tale like mine before, and he believed his mother may have been a former Messenger Priestess for Clan Laprine. I inquired as to whether his mother had re-formed the tribe. She had not.
It was in that moment that I realized just how much I missed my people, how much I wish I had what it took to rebuild them. But I am unfit. Even now, I write these words from a distance, hardly connected to them, merely putting history to paper with a sickly, shaking hand.
I do not belong to Clan Laprine any longer, but I will not let them die in memory. I hope to keep them alive in some way with Rabbit, for we are both outsiders to a dead people, but who else can ever hope to remember them?

I feel the 'getting distracted by drafting up nobility while trying to complete a map' deep in my soul.
Have you used LegendKeeper? It's like a wiki/Google maps hybrid. I found it was a great way to jot down my fourteen pages on use of magic in the legal system and file it away where my players could find it if they were interested in looking.
what did you write abt magic & the legal system?? as in what magic judges & law courts use to ascertain & maintain truth, or magic that is permitted or forbidden by the law? I haven’t used LegendKeeper, i will check it out! i just have a big old word document but it’s working ok for now

i love u.. 💖💖 well actually im just obsessed with worldbuilding and bitches who are willing to talk on and on about their stories and worlds or whatever. anyways yes worldanvil is good. notebook.ai is also good, and easier to use and free (but also limited). if u want to make a map for your world, wonderdraft is very epic and cool but costs money (sorry i love maps... also yes money but where there is a will there is a way... ) there are a bunch of other free map programs/stuff that are less cool but free that come up when u search for WB resources. ALSO theres a worldbuilding program called legendkeeper thats in beta. think u can only get it with a beta code or thru patreon rn but maybe keep ur eyes on that ^-^

Update
I didn’t give news in a long while... I also haven’t interacted much with people except for reblogs/likes, I just had no energy for it.
Anyway, what’s new:
I’m pregnant, currently in the 5th month. I was so sick during the first quarter (read nauseous all day long and super exhausted for its whole duration), and I’m still feeling occasionally sick, but it’s now a sign I need to eat. I also feel like I have more energy!
it might not be obvious but being nauseous killed my creativity, and the covid-restrictions in France didn’t help either. Overall my mental health was pretty low. Thankfully, this too feels like it’s getting better, and I feel like writing again.
Eating at the terrace of a restaurant yesterday was surreal. I can’t even remember when I had done that for the last time.
now, writing wise:
I’ve finally set my mind on the tool I’ll use to store all the worldbuilding data I’ve created over the past 15 years: Obsidian. Its graph view, and the use of markdown made it a clear winner. The only flow atm is a lack of a mobile app, but it’s currently in beta.
I’ve started to transfer info into it, and I will delete accounts I have elsewhere, including on WorldAnvil and LegendKeeper. It’s kinda satisfying to delete articles on these platforms, akin to tearing paper if you know what I mean.
I’m also reading what I wrote last year (and beginning of January) of The Dragons of Jamaedo, and should continue writing that first draft very soon. I was very afraid to read it at first, but it’s not as awful I was afraid of. It’s actually a decent foundation in need of sharpening.
I have a few graphics I should post as well, maybe even the presentation of a paused WIP, but I don’t want to promise anything :)

Wait shit
I just realized I was going to build other missing people into Legendkeepers
Specifically I wanted Xavier, my XY trainer, to have lost one of his friends to a rift, and I was going to have it be a sort-of parallel to Rex, where Rex is So Sure Ritsu's alive while Xavier is Positive his friend is dead and has given up on her (even if he's saved a gift pokemon for her Just In Case)
AND NOW THE SECOND LEGENDS GAME WE'RE GETTING IS FOR KALOS
I could USE this for my story....... 👀
