Halter Accessories
Horse Ranch Required
Non-Default
Nameplate uses tail accessory slot
Leadrope uses legwrap slot
Fluff uses hat slot
Made specifically to fit my halter - you will find the halter included in this post! This will not work with EA bridles. (For those who have already downloaded the halter, you don't need to download it again).
Here's some accessories for the halter I uploaded earlier. It features fluff, nameplate and leadrope. There's a clean swatch and a swatch with Simlish on it for the nameplate, so you can add your own horse's name if you wish to recolour it!
The leadrope has some clipping and stretching issues.
I also made a Patreon for those who want to support my CC journey. I'm still new to CC creating, but looking forward to learning more and creating more content :)
Feel free to recolour as long as you credit me.
DO NOT upload to paysites.

Shane and I saw a bevy of CYCLISTS today and he shuddered and froze as they gallantly cycled past reassuring him. Also we passed a walking couple who asked whether he was shy (because he’s always stopping) and I was like well, he’s not SHY, he’s just,, a LITTLE mean, and will take absolutely any excuse to stop walking. And they thought this was very funny (it is). And THEN on the rest of the way back, this partly busted bit of someone’s irrigation system was doing a bit of a sprinkle sprankle, and Shane HATES drips. HATES drips. He also hates everything, but especially cold drips. It was sending a spray just barely over the whole path… so I wound up standing in front of the last little bit of it, so he could scoot past dry.
Tumblr media
Ignore the fly. (My back looks like this so his flank can look like this etc.)
I think he actually understood that interaction, and that I was protecting him from the spray. It didn’t raise me in his estimation MUCH but it did help a bit.
Also there’s 1 hill on the walk and when we come back down it I extremely gently and politely give him his head, because horses need their heads to balance with. So with all the leadrope in the world, he tosses his head to downvote, snakes around to try to bite me, wallows into the ditch where the dead grass but also the steepest slope and worst footing is, half falls over throwing his head down to try to eat while awkwardly walking, snakes around to try to bite me even more urgently (I am still giving him his whole entire head as self-effacingly as I can), chews on the lead rope, and continues step by tottering step trying to eat, throw his back out, and fall down all at once like someone rolling a wardrobe down the stairs, and bite me. And then finally he is through my terribly unfair Saw puzzle and we are back on the level. And he has done this, the exact same way, all three times.

Hello Luke,
I love your work. I was trying to download your $100 Donation Goal Met Deco Leadrope but the item has been taken down or been deleted. I was wordering if you still had the file and if so would you be so very kind and send it to me. As I cant go on to my next page of my catalogue untill i have finished Equus Sims.
I look forward to your response
Kind Regards
Alistair
obligatory 'I don't really like to go by Luke anymore but I know that's the only name most folks know me by so it's okay but I'd prefer to go by Maddie now' disclaimer, but, I'm pretty sure I didn't actually make this - I never did anything with deco leadropes if I recall correctly, so you may be thinking of another creator?
If I did make it though, there's a very strong chance I don't have the file any longer due to one of my drives failing a few years ago that contained most if not all of my sims 3 CC projects, so if it's not on my Sims 3 folder on SFS, I don't have it. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help!

Lunging and Groundwork
Today began with some lunging instructed by me, performed by Kismet and Nikolette. Kismet came to us after the old owner couldn't keep him anymore, and as we have bred him we were only happy to take him back. Right now we are schooling him, so he can get a small rider at some point. He is a good boy, but has a lot of energy.
And as you can see on this picture, he might have too much energy - today at least xD He just ran and ran around and around for a while, before Nikolette got him cooled down enough to let him loose.
Tumblr media
Which she did. He started bucking and kicking for a while, and then he was able to trot nicely again. He ran and bucked for quite a while though, as he can't run much in the pasture at the moment, as it's quite slippery from the ice and snow, so he really seemed to need a good galop!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When he has used the excess energy Nikolette was able to bring him back into the lunge, and give him some more schooling. After that I left Niko to her own devices, and left the indoor arena to go get another horse who needed training.
Tumblr media
This is baby Cisco. He has just been taken from his mother at 7 months old, and brought into one of the too male pastures along with young Captain and the experienced and much older Rico. He seems to really have taken to Captain - who is roughly 1.5 years older than he is. And while Cisco has taken to Captain, Captain has really taken to Rico, whom he leans against if he gets unsure of anything.
When I called all three came running towards me, and I was able to snap this pretty, snowy picture! I am really adoring Cisco's colour against both his new blanket and the snow. He is a lovely boy!
Tumblr media
And so I brought him directly to the arena. Nikolette was walking around with Kismet in short leadrope for a few minutes before she left the arena to Cisco and I.
Pulling off his blanket I did some light groundwork with him. Mostly moving forward and backwards by light pressure. He did a very good job he did!
Tumblr media
Then I let him loose in the arena for a while. He enjoyed stretching his legs a lot, and switched between canter and galop time and time again. He is a lovely little lad, and I snapped a few pretty pictures!
Tumblr media
He seemed slightly spooked though when Calypso entered the arena, and I had to speak softly to him to get him back on the lead, so I could put the blanket on him again and then lead him to the pasture.
He was able to shake of the anxiety fairly quickly though, so I am sure that with training he will end up not reacting to that at all!

End Up Here Chapter 4
Chapter Summary: Emily's friends ambush her at work, looking for details about Dean.
Word Count: 2.9k
A/N: Once again picking up right where we left off last chapter. I had to take a break from all the 'get to know you' dialogue with Dean, so we're spending a little bit of time with the horses and the friend group instead! I really like how this one turned out, so I hope you guys like it too!
Sidenote: Enjoy the Friends gif, because I seriously could not find just a simple gif of a group of girls talking. I wish I was kidding when I say I spent a good hour looking for something similar to this but not from a famous TV show before giving in and just using it.
Masterlist Series Masterlist
Tumblr media
I pulled into the parking lot of Freedom Reins and grabbed the key to unlock the tack shed. I put out a pair of cross ties, grabbed Penny’s halter off its hook and then headed out to the pasture to catch her. The pasture she was in held five horses, each of them a different color. As the lone sorrel, she was easy to pick out even from a distance.
I was pretty confident I could get through my whole list today, but my plan was to knock out tasks in order of importance, just in case I didn’t have time for it all. Her being scared of the tree we planted in an attempt to give the arena a little more shade was my biggest and most immediate concern, so I decided to work with her first. Everything else still needed to be done, but I could function just fine for a few more days with things as they were if I ran out of time. I couldn’t, however, keep making Penny’s riders only use half of the arena.
“Hey, pretty girl,” I said to her when I got close. She didn’t even bother looking up from where she was contentedly pulling up mouthfuls of grass.
I put her halter on and led her to the arena. I stayed on the outside of the arena, walking her directly over to the tree. She needed to get up close and check it out so she could realize it wasn’t dangerous.
She perked up when the tree came into view and when we were within a few steps of it, she froze in her tracks, head up and ears alert. I gave her a few seconds to look at it and then coaxed her a couple more steps forward. She stepped side to side and snorted nervously. I talked to her in a soothing voice, but didn’t let her back away, waiting for her to stop reacting and to start thinking.
After a minute she started to cautiously stretch out her nose in an attempt to smell it without getting closer.
“That’s a good girl,” I told her. “It’s not going to hurt you. Come look at it.”
I gave her a little time to make the choice herself, but when it seemed like she wasn’t going to come any closer, I gave a little pull on the leadrope. She planted her feet, but otherwise didn’t fight me.
“Come on, girl,” I said and clicked to her a couple times.
She let out a big sigh and I knew I had her. She cautiously took the last couple steps forward, flinching – but not retreating – when I reached a hand out to pet her.
“Good girl!” I praised her. She sniffed at the tree and I watched her visibly relax when she realized what it was. I stayed there for a few minutes, petting on her and letting her graze around the tree to really solidify her understanding that it wasn’t scary.
I walked her back and forth directly in front of it a few times and then did a lap around the whole outside of the arena, making sure she’d still be ok with it after walking away and coming back. She didn’t react at all.
I took her into the arena next, to let her see it from a new angle. I kept her walking right on the fenceline. She paid attention when she saw the tree coming up, but I didn’t detect any signs of unease in her. We passed the tree with no reaction, so I finished my lap and then turned and walked her in the other direction. Still no reaction. Good.
I put her in the cross ties, figuring I might as well brush her and pick her feet while I had her up.
I gave her a treat and then took her back to her pasture, switching her halter out for Domino’s and grabbing him next. As his name suggested, he was a black and white paint horse. We didn’t know for sure, but we suspected him of being a draft cross. He wasn’t overly tall, but he was stocky.
“Alright big guy, let’s see what’s going on here,” I said to him once I had him up in the cross ties and had finished grooming him.
I grabbed his saddle out of the tack shed and set it on him. I was far from an expert in saddle fitting, but I knew enough to get by. I thought it still fit him nicely, but he had put on a little weight, so switching out his thick saddle pad for a thin blanket would probably make a difference. I took the saddle off, grabbed a blanket from the shed, and then saddled him up all the way, watching closely for any signs of discomfort. He seemed perfectly fine.
Well then, either switching blankets was all that was needed, or I’d imagined him being sore in the first place – a possibility when I had so much going on. All he’d really done was turn his nose in my direction and stomp his foot. It’s possible it had even just been him being annoyed by a fly, but at the time class was starting and I didn’t have time to investigate further. Either way, it was definitely a necessary change.
I put him away and then checked the time. Almost 11:30. I figured I could work on desensitizing Finn for a while. He’d been around for eight months now, so it was long past time for him to be worked with on wheelchairs. The only reason I’d put it off so long is because we had so few riders that used them, it was easy enough to choose any of our other 15 horses for the job. If he was going to be at this center though, it’s really something he should learn.
I spent about 45 minutes working with him and was happy with the progress I’d made. He didn’t have any problems walking next to the moving wheelchair or having it be moved all around him. I still needed to work with him on riders getting on from the wheelchair, but I needed more people around to help me with that and he’d done enough for the day anyway. It was best to stop on a good note, give him a break, and come back to it another day.
I unlocked the office and went inside for lunch. I heated up one of the frozen dinners that I kept here for days like this and sat down at my desk. I decided to work on the rider files from yesterday while I ate. Every rider’s file had to be updated after every class. Notes had to be made on what we worked on that day, how they did, any improvements they made or issues they had.
Sometimes our riders had difficulty comprehending what we were asking of them or lacked the physical ability to do things a certain way. Keeping a record of what works for them and what doesn’t was also important.
I was still eating and working on these when the door opened and three of my companions from last night walked in. I looked up into the smug, expectant faces of Rose, Lauren, and Natalie.
“What’s up?” I asked. I had no idea what this could possibly be about. I hadn’t expected them to be here today.
“Oh, you know. Just thought we’d come see how you’re doing,” Natalie said in an innocent tone.
“Uh huh,” I said flatly. “Out with it. What are you really doing here?”
“What? We can’t just stop by and see if you need help with anything? You did have quite the list last night,” Lauren said.
They were all willing to help me out with things if I asked, but they wouldn’t just volunteer their help. It was my job after all, not theirs. And I hadn’t asked.
“Nope. Try again.”
“How was your walk home last night?” Rose asked.
Okay. Now I saw where this was going. Obviously they’d seen me leave with Dean. But if she was going to hint around it instead of outright asking what she really wanted to know, then I wasn’t going to give her what she wanted.
“It was fine. It was really nice out. Made it to your place just fine.”
“Yeah. And I bet the rest of your night was better than fine,” Natalie prodded with a proud gleam in her eye. Rose and Lauren snickered.
“I got home and I went to sleep. Nothing exciting,” I told her truthfully, although they clearly didn’t believe me.
“Oh please! Stop trying to deny it. We all saw you leave with tall, dark and handsome. And Jackie saw you with him this morning at Ricky’s,” Rose informed me.
Well that’s just great. Jackie was our program director, and I loved her dearly – I loved all the girls I worked with – but she could be such a gossip.
“Ok, well first of all, Jackie needs to stop spreading my personal business around to everyone on staff. Second, just because she saw me with a guy, that doesn’t mean it was the guy from the bar. And I’m not denying that I left with him. But he walked me to my car and that was the end of it.”
“Then why were you out with him this morning?” Lauren asked, clearly thinking she’d proved her point.
“Once again, you don’t have any reason to think it was him,” I argued.
“But I don’t actually hear you denying it,” Rose pointed out. “So it was him, wasn’t it?”
I sighed and pushed my food out of the way. I’d probably have to reheat it at this point.
“Yeah, it was him. So what?”
“So?” Lauren asked incredulously. “So, tell us everything! How was he?”
I was getting very frustrated with this line of questioning. Couldn’t they just believe me when I said I didn’t sleep with the guy? They knew that wasn’t really my style anyway, so why were they so set on that being the official story?
“If you mean how was he in bed, then I don’t know. He walked me to my car because he said he didn’t like the idea of me walking alone. He asked me to meet him for breakfast this morning, and then I went home. Alone. If you mean how was he as a conversational partner, then he was great. Good listener, but doesn’t just sit there and make you carry the conversation either.”
“You really didn’t sleep with him?” Nat asked.
“No! That’s what I’m trying to tell you! You know I don’t do one night stands. What makes you think this was any different?”
“I don’t know. We just figured since you left with him…” Nat trailed off.
“And let’s be real, he’s insanely good looking. If there was ever a guy to make an exception for, it would be him,” Lauren added.
“Ok. So, let me ask you this,” Rose said. “If you didn’t hook up with him, then what exactly are you expecting out of this?”
This was her serious voice. Her ‘let’s be reasonable and talk about it’ voice. I don’t know why she was going into mom friend mode.
“I’m not expecting anything. Maybe hoping,” I admitted.
“Emily, listen. Guys like that… they don’t settle for girls like you,” Rose said in a sympathetic voice.
“Girls like me? What’s that mean? That he’s out of my league?” I was immediately defensive and hurt that my longtime friend would say something so mean. Not that it wasn’t true. But wasn’t this the part where my friends were supposed to build me up? To tell me it was his loss if he wasn’t interested?
“Honestly? Yes.” Seeing my hurt expression, she hurried to continue. “But he’s out of all of our leagues. Guys like that are out of the league of everyone. Except supermodels. I’m just trying to be realistic here.”
“So it’s plausible for him to want to sleep with me, but not anything else?”
“You know this is supposed to be an insult to him, not you, right?” Nat asked. “We’re not saying you’re not beautiful and a really great person. But have you ever known a guy that looks as good as him to be interested in anything more than sex? They know how they look. They know they can have any girl they want. And they take advantage of that. Why settle down when you can be with a different girl every night?”
I was still feeling extremely hurt, but at least I could see where they were coming from now. I’d get over it when I had space and time to calm down. And I couldn’t deny the petty smugness I felt at being able to contradict all the expectations they apparently had of Dean.
“Thanks for the concern,” I told them. “But it’s really unnecessary. Dean’s a great guy. He’s not at all like what you’re saying.”
“Oh, it’s Dean, is it?” Rose smirked and wiggled her eyebrows. I smiled a little at her teasing, happy to move on from the tense moment.
“It’s not that we don’t want to believe you. We just don’t want you to get your hopes up thinking you’ve met this great guy and then it turns out he was just using you. You know we can’t stand seeing you hurt,” Lauren said.
“And I appreciate you looking out for me. But this isn’t him playing me. Did you not notice him turn down like four different women last night?” I asked. They all shook their heads. “Well he did. And he never once made any sort of move on me. He was a perfect gentleman. Does that sound like something he would do if he had ulterior motives? I mean, why even bother? Like I said, he had options. He didn’t have to hang around the one girl in the bar who wasn’t going to sleep with him.”
“I guess so,” Nat said, not sounding entirely convinced but wanting to trust me.
“Well if he is as great as you say, you’d better lock him down fast. Before he gets to know you and runs away screaming,” Rose smirked.
“Shut up,” I laughed, throwing my pen at her.
“I’m just saying,” she continued, laughing with me. She bent down to pick up my pen and handed it back to me. “A guy who looks like that and who is apparently a great guy? It’s a wonder he’s still single.”
“Yeah… He said he moves around a lot. That could have something to do with it,” I told them.
“Well tell us all about him!” Natalie encouraged. “I want to know what’s so great about him! And I want to be able to like him as much as you do.”
Rose snorted.
“I don’t think Emily wants you liking him as much as she does,” she said. I smirked.
“No, not really. Don’t get me wrong. I want you guys to like him. But if it comes down to it, I will absolutely fight you for him,” I said in the most serious tone I could manage. It only took a few seconds for me to break and for all of us to burst into laughter.
Once we’d all calmed down, Lauren picked the conversation back up.
“Seriously though, it sounds like you really like this guy. Normally you wouldn’t even think about making a joke like that. Especially for a guy you just met. So there must be some truth to it.”
I smiled and thought back on the couple hours I’d spent with Dean. I was already extremely interested in the man. And the thought of him deciding he didn’t like me after all and moving on to someone else made my stomach twist.
“I like him a lot,” I said to them.
“Ooh!” The three of them cheered together in a drawn out way, like we were middle school girls talking about crushes at a slumber party.
“You really need to tell us everything, then!” Nat said again.
We talked for a while. They grilled me for all the details on Dean and I asked them how the rest of their night went. Once they left, I took my now cold food back to the microwave. I finished eating and doing all the files, then headed back outside to clean the automatic waterers. We had three of them. One by one, I shut them off, drained the water, and scrubbed them clean.
I had more of the day left than I anticipated when I finished, so I decided to spend some time riding a couple horses. It never hurt to put an experienced rider on them for a refresher. I rode them through our trail pattern a couple of times before heading back to the outside edge of the arena. We worked on starts and stops and staying on the rail instead of straying towards the inside and cutting corners the way a lot of the horses were liable to do if no one corrected them.
Once I was done riding, I put away the cross ties, locked up the tack room, and then got the hose out to water down the arena. We usually relied on rain to keep the dust in check, but it had been a while since we’d had any so I needed to take care of it manually.
Once I’d covered the whole arena in a light layer of water – I didn’t want to get it too wet or we’d be riding in mud on Monday – I headed home to snuggle with Ziggy and enjoy the rest of my weekend.

This doesn't sound like a big deal, but it is. We walked up on this stump and I could feel/hear Ginger stomping/wiggling/legs every which way. A blow up essentially
But she didn't turn and bolt. Or pull the leadrope in any way. I had her walk up to it, touch it with her, and we left. No blowup the second time passing it
I'm so glad she has her meltdowns, but still stays by me regardless. Amazing what a year of love can get

Well, our Knabstruppers and their pregnancy has defintely not been a secret, but it's not exactly something we have talked about a lot either! This morning around 6am, when I got into the stable I found this little girl in Prada's stall! I have already named her EIEC Coco Chanel to follow the designer theme of her dam.
She is the first Knabstrupper (Sports horse) foal at Echo International, and she is such a cutie! She is very shy though, hiding under her mother's tail xD
She has probably been born some time after me giving the horses hay for the night. She seems clean though, so she was probably born around midnight.
Tumblr media
Only a few hours later, we heard noise coming from Ultraviolet's stall (EIEC Ultraviolet). Yet another little girl! She is sired by our own EIEC Pax, and I have named her EIEC Primrose - Prim for short - after Katniss Everdeen's little sister from one of my favorite books: The Hunger Games.
Tumblr media
She was quick to stand, quicker than Coco Chanel I imagine, though a little unsure on her feet. She is beautiful. I really wished for another blanket spots Knabstrupper, and that's what I got! Then again both her parents are blanket spots, so I guess there wasn't much luck involved.
Tumblr media
As Coco still seemed very unsure of her surroundings, and more nervous than Prim, I decided that she would stay in the stall for today and join Prim and Ultraviolet in the pasture tomorrow. So I took the filly and her mother to one of our big pastures.
They seemed to enjoy going outside, even if I had to call up Ismael and his sister Neha to get the foal all the way to the pasture without any accidents. After all the foal wasn't used to the leadrope, and I didn't want to stress her, so I just kept Ultraviolet on lead and then baby Prim just followed under the stern and watchful eyes of Ismael and Neha.
Tumblr media
I decided to kneel on the grass a little from the mare and baby. Ultraviolet is very used to me, so she came closer, and so did brave baby Prim! Soon after she sniffed my hands. I'm sure she will be a great show jumper when she grows up, as she is already so brave!
Tumblr media
After a while mom Ultraviolet went to the back of the pasture, and began grassing. She was feeling completely safe with me intertaining the baby, while she ate.
Tumblr media
Also our 'baby' Opaline HF has grown up! She is now 1.5 years old, and has been greying beautifully! She was a little confused that she wasn't brought to the pasture, and didn't understand why her friend Prada didn't answer from her stall, as she was of course busy with baby Coco.
Tumblr media
Around midday (as two mares can now not be ridden) Neha brought out Pax (EIEC Pax) for a lesson in behaving. But Pax was being Pax as always.
"Yeeehaw!" Neha laughed as Pax bucked yet again. It seemed like he had a lot of energy today, so Neha just let him 'run it out'.
"Hold on Neha!" I told her, and shook my head as she seemed to be enjoying the ride. I swear sometimes she and Pax seems equally crazy!

I really enjoy and appreciate when someone else makes these lists of recent CC finds like e.g. @objuct (find their latest roundup here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/cc-finds-roundup-87304529 ) ! It's just so nice to be able to click through a list of links and grab all the shiny new CC.
Soooo I figured I'll make one myself and might help someone else out c:
@buckarooranch - lots of multicolored manes/tails (foals too!) and other great CC
Kebbe - also has great stencils for horses!
The BoseeladyTV - Potentially helpful mod for Ranch Hands
@kalino-thesims - lots of amazing mods, especially things to turn horses into other animals (deer, zebra, dromdar?!)
Emelie - custom jumps, halters (even with leadrope), and more!
@awesimsimmer-girl - these jumps without white markers are just amazing
@maeveywaevey - many custom coat stencils and brushes !
Illusion EQ Custom Content - They're also working on a rustic stable set which looks great!

Wild Mustang Challenge Part 1
"Hello girl," Sarah said to the mare that had arrived just the other day.
The mare was a wild mustang, and my wife had taken it upon her shoulders to train her. Mustang Challenges was not something we would usually do, as it would take a lot of time training the wild horse from another country. Time that could be spend on horses in need here in Denmark. Which is the main reason why we don't normally do it.
But Sarah pleaded me to take this mare home, as she seemed so lost in her pasture in the US - at least on the pictures. I eventually surrendered, and let her bring the horse home.
So now we have a wild mustang in our round-pen, the place where she lives for now. Sarah has been training the mare every day, naming her Misty because of her greyish coat, on day three she began training the mare in leadrope, and then on day 6 she had won enough of the mare's trust to get on her back. No saddle though, which I found very brave, as the horse after all was wild.
"You sure that's a good idea?" I asked her, as she rode around bareback.
"Probably not, but I didn't want her to get used to me and a saddle at the same time, darling," Sarah replied, patting the mares neck carefully.
The mare seemed pretty dosile for now. Very calm and collected. But then again she had been like that from day one.

I mean Brynn has a point, if you’re gonna make her do a scary ass lift where she twirls and falls back into y’all’s arms then you should at least put some mats down. I think it’s regulation for the cheerleader type lifts, if not it should be that shit is super dangerous. all sports are that’s why each has safety equipment and regulations like mats and even then it’s usually not enough.
Like I rode horses, very dangerous sport with a giant animal that can make decisions without your input if it really wants to. I’ve seen some heinous injuries and at least 3 were preventable with breakaway stirrups and leadropes.
