JACKIE MARIE LAZANSKI
b. April 6, 1965, adoptive mother
An elementary school teacher, Jackie Lazanski is Lucas’ adoptive mother. She married real-estate tycoon Frank Lazanski in 1991, and he passed away in the summer of 1996. She adopted Lucas shortly thereafter. The adoption was finalized October 1997. She hasn’t remarried, but is currently dating local high school principal Luis Garcia. Jackie is kind, nurturing, strong, and good-humored.
Lucas thinks she’s the most wonderful human being on the planet. When he’s not on schedules, he flies back to LA to be with his family.
AVA JANE MCNAMARA
b. November 3, 1986, adoptive sister
Ava is a nuclear engineer who was born to Frank and Jackie before their marriage. She graduated from the University of Michigan. As the eldest child, she tends to baby Mia and Lucas. It was a running joke among Lucas’ friends that Lucas had a “hot, smart sister,” and consequently, it was eventually through Ava’s social media posts that Sophie Coram-Connell found out about Zoey. She is married to lawyer Joseph McNamara. Ava is caring, level-headed, dependable, relaxed, and wholesome.
Lucas is incredibly close to Ava and looks up to her. She often helped him with his math homework in high school, and she attends Prism concerts whenever she can. Ava currently lives in San Francisco, California, and enjoys meeting up with her brother and sister as much as she can.
AMELIA “MIA” GRACE LAZANSKI
b. June 18, 1991, adoptive sister
Mia is a neurosurgeon who graduated from Harvard Medical School. She is Jackie’s middle child. She went to high school at the same time as her brother, so she tended to chauffeur Lucas and his friends around, which she often (jokingly) bemoaned. Mia was also close to Zoey, and was a senior while Lucas dated her junior year. Mia has been dating fellow neurosurgeon Thomas Baines for nine years, and has a four-year-old son, Lucas Lazanski-Baines, with him. Mia is likable, humorous, energetic, friendly, and ambitious.
Lucas is as close to Mia as he is to Ava, if not a little bit closer, as he attended high school with her and matches her closer in personality. Ava currently lives in Queens, New York, and occasionally splits her time at her vacation house near Lucas’ own home in Seoul.

RYAN DOYLE
b. February 6, 1992
Ryan is one of Lucas’ best friends. Originally mortal enemies in elementary school, they eventually became close after both discovering their deep, shared love for Pokémon. Ryan is cocky, affectionate, cynical, intense, and bold.
MAX COLLINS
b. November 21, 1991
Max and Lucas met in kindergarten and became instant friends. They later met Ryan when he moved to town from Montana, and became the OGs of the friend group. He is engaged to high school sweetheart, Meadow Morris. Max is laid-back, rational, light-hearted, and good-natured.
ABDUL ROYCHADHURI
b. September 4, 1991
Abdul moved from Sri Lanka to the Hills in the sixth grade. After being bullied for a semester, he eventually ran into Lucas on the bus, where they became fast friends, and Abdul was instantly integrated into the friend group and officially declared their protected buddy. Abdul is quick-witted, humorous, mellow, and considerate.
ALEX FINLAY
b. June 1, 1992
Alex threw a sandwich at Ryan’s head in the seventh grade and got into a fistfight with him-- and won, which earned the respect of the whole squad. He eventually joined the Mathletes, much to everyone’s shock-- turned out he just had a big fat crush on Hayley Bradburn, who he married in June 2021. Alex is edgy, eager, lively, entertaining, and competitive.
MATEO SANCHEZ
b. January 20, 1992
Mateo moved to Beverly Hills from Hawaii with his grandmother in the third grade, and became fast friends with Ryan. He introduced Ryan and Lucas to Pokémon, which sparked their lifelong friendship and ended their brief rivalry. Mateo is nerdy, friendly, likable, optimistic, and easygoing.
MILES “BICEPS MILES” MACKY
b. July 11, 1991
Miles is a bit accident-prone, but fortunately loves to laugh it off. He had an innocent crush on Ava Lazanski throughout high school. He met the crew in sixth grade after being in the same gym class as Lucas, Max, and Mateo, the three of whom decided to befriend him after he tore his biceps trying to bench press far too much on the first day of school. He was immediately dubbed Biceps Miles. Biceps Miles is suave, confident, forgetful, zestful, and plucky.

SOPHIE CORAM-CONNELL
b. April 6, 1992
Sophie Coram-Connell was a cheerleader at Beverly Hills High School who had a crush on Lucas, and all but staked her claim on him. After discovering that Lucas was actually dating Zoey, she bullied Zoey out of the school. She also bullied Hayley Bradburn and most other girls who were interested in him. Sophie is arrogant, manipulative, cunning, vain, and feisty.
HAYLEY FINLAY
b. January 3, 1992
Hayley Finlay (nee Bradburn) asked out Lucas at the beginning of junior year, but was ultimately rejected as at the time, Lucas had a crush on Zoey Kim. She was on the cheer squad, Mathletes, choir, dance team, and student council, and eventually began dating Alex Finlay second semester, effectively cementing her as “one of the bros.” They were engaged in 2019 and married in June 2021. Hayley is well-rounded, fair, compassionate, ambitious, and content.
MISUN “ZOEY” KIM
b. May 9, 1992
Zoey Kim was the Korean exchange student during Lucas’ junior year, and Lucas was almost immediately smitten by her. She was a singer and quite close to Hayley. When Zoey started dating Lucas, they remained friends, and Hayley helped her through the eventual breakup and stood up for her against Sophie’s bullying. Zoey eventually left early, but forgave Lucas and does keep in touch with the crew. She recently had dinner with Lucas, Mia, and Mateo to catch up. Zoey is gentle, thoughtful, loving, encouraging, sensible, and self-respecting.

When Hugh John Vaughan Campbell, 6th Earl Cawdor died on 20 June 1993, he left his estate to his second wife, Angelica Countess Lazansky von Bukowa, whom he had married in 1979. Not to his heir, Colin Robert Vaughan Campbell, 7th Earl Cawdor.
This family traces their lineage back to Macbeth - the historical Scottish King who died in 1057 - and whom the Shakespeare play is based upon.
She got the estate which is Cawdor Castle. Cawdor Castle is in the Macbeth play.
This woman managed to take away the home of the family that had lived there for centuries. The Earl of Cawdor still cannot get his estate back.
I can see the man providing for his widow after he dies but to hand her the ancestral home?
But that is the nature of these type of women. They do not marry for love. They marry for money and will suck everyone dry.

Meet Dr. J. Terry Alford
Doctor Alford was born in Mobile Alabama of a military family. His father was a career soldier and aviator in the United States Air Force and was also a decorated war hero in WWII and unfortunately a prisioner of war in Germany. Dr. Alford received his undergraduate degree in 1969 with majors in Mathematics, Physics, Aerodynamics, Biology and Chemistry. He entered the USAF like his father and was trained to be a Jet Pilot, Aircraft Commander and Flight Instructor. He saw service in Viet Nam and was decorated twice with the Distinquished Air Medal. He left the USAF in 1974 as a Flight Examiner and Instructor and today continues his avocation as a certified flight instructor. In 1974 he entered the University of Alabama, School of Dentistry and graduated with honors in 1978. He was voted into the National Honor Dental Society (Omicron Kappa Upsilon)), PHI PHI chapter and received the Academy of General Dentistry Award for excellence voted by all the university professors, as well as the Lazanski Award for excellence in Oral Surgery. The Dean and Professors of the University of Alabama ranked Dr. Alford at the top of his class upon graduation. More Recently Dr. Alford received the "2011, 2012 and 2013, 2014 and 2015 People's Choice Award for "Favorite Dentist". Dr. Alford diligently continues his quest for learning and education and recently received his certification in Facial Rejuvenation with PDO Threads from CosmoFrance. He is also one of a handful of Dentist in the United States certified in "Disclusion Time Reduction" Therapy (DTR) in the management of Oro facial and TMD Pain.
Dr. Alford moved to Bradenton in 1978 and began his dental practice with special emphasis in Cosmetic Reconstruction, Implants and Cosmetic enhancements with lazer whitening. He entered the United States Dental Institute for continued education and completed a full course ( 5 years) in functional orthepedics with additional training in orthodontics. He realized he needed to be more knowledgeable in functional occlusion and began taking courses in TMJ, full mouth reconstruction, nathology (function) of the jaws, and prosthodontic reconstruction with IMPLANTS. He continues to attend courses from leading clinicians throughout the world and recently attended the World Conference on Implant Therapy in Las Vegas bringing back to Bradenton the most current treatments being offered utilizing computer imaging technology and Laser Application to current dental procedures. Beginning in November 2011 through February 2012 Dr. Alford completed the requirements to receive his MASTERS CERTIFICATION in LASER Dentistry from Biolase which is the world leader in medical and dental laser education and manufacturing. His office hosts the Largest Laser Study Club in the United States with the objective to educated all dentist in the use of modern dental lasers.
Dr. Alford also devotes his time to teaching. He is a visiting clinical instructor at the University of Alabama and LECOM School of Dentistry in Bradenton, Florida in Laser Technology. Additionally he teachs facial anatomy, facial rejuvenation and PRP procedures for the International Association of Facial Esthetics. The Advanced Dental Cosmetic Center is also a state certified training facility for the Manatee Technical Institute dental assisting program. Dr. T also teaches cosmetic reconstruction utilizing the most current technology in Zirconia and E-max based crowns and bridges, and CAD SIM /CAD CAM prosthesis, Veneers and Implant supported crowns to visiting dentist on a one on one basis. Dr. Alford is only one of 12 other dentist in the United States that works with Eddie Corrales from CADSMILES in California. The Advanced Dental Cosmetic Center and Dr. Alford has provided more Ceramic Restorations utilizing CEREC Technology for smile reconstruction with Mr. Eddie Correlas than any other dentist in the US.
Dr. Alford is a member of the American Dental Society, Manatee County Dental Society, West Dental Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Computer Dentistry, International Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. the World Clinical Laser Institute, International Academy of Facial Esthetics, The American Academy of Cosmetic Dermatology, The American Academy of Facial Esthetics and The Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Dental Society. From January 2011 to January 2016 Dr. Alford has been awarded the honor of "America's Top Dentist" for 6 years running in the field of Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry by the Consumers Research Council of America.

The Serbian world is arming itself
Tonight, the Ministry of Defense of Montenegro announced that it denies the claims of the Ambassador of Serbia in Moscow, Miroslav Lazanski , regarding the transport of weapons of Serbia through the territory of Montenegro.
They point out that it is not within the competence of the Ministry of Defense to decide on that independently, because they are only one of the institutions that gives an opinion based on an official request.
"The fact is that such a written request, in the past eight months, was not sent to the Ministry of Defense of Montenegro, and there was no reason for us to declare it," the Ministry of Defense of Montenegro said.
It should be reminded that the Ambassador of Serbia in Moscow, Miroslav Lazanski, stated today that Montenegro rejected Serbia's request to deliver the weapons it received as a donation from Russia by sea to the port of Bar and then by train to Belgrade.
Lazanski told Prva Televizija that because of that decision of Podgorica, Serbia had to set aside "20 times" more money in order to deliver the donated weapons by plane.
"Twice I asked my colleague, the ambassador of Montenegro in Moscow, Scepanovic, to call Podgorica and that the weapon goes by boat. The response of the Montenegrin Minister of Defense was such that we had to pay for air transport, which cost us a lot, "Lazanski said.

Lucas Lazanski. How does a person even begin to describe him? He’s the guy who you call when you’ve got a flat tire, even if you’re hardly acquainted, ‘cause he put his number in your phone and said to call if you needed anything— and you could tell he meant it. He’s the guy who the quiet girls at school crushed on, just ‘cause he’d go out of his way to praise them during Capture the Flag in P.E. then jog away to high-five his boys and do a backflip.
He’s the guy who— for some reason— moved out of L.A. halfway through senior year of high school to go and become an idol in South Korea.
You ask Zanski ‘bout his history, he’ll tell you; the man’s an open book. Someone like that’s gotta have some tragic backstory, yeah? Cool Asian kid at school, friends with everyone, single Hills mom, Stanford and Harvard sisters; what’s his deal, you’d ask? A shrug, then:
“It’s not that complicated, man. My parents were Korean, couldn’t take care of me. My mom’s husband passed, could take care of me. My sisters were studying abroad; mom missed having a kid around. I was cute even back then. How would she not adopt me?”
Then a flirty eyebrow wag, a teasing grin, and he’s off to find his next adventure.
And it actually isn’t that complicated, really. Mother: Jackie Lazanski, elementary schoolteacher who happened to marry a loving real estate tycoon who left everything, including his multimillions, to her after he died.
Sisters: Ava and Mia Lazanski, grad school and pre-law, respectively, at least back then. Successful engineer and surgeon nowadays. Also his home screen wallpaper, but not his lock screen, ‘cause he doesn’t wanna bother them if Dispatch sees his phone and tries to contact his sisters.
Home: Beverly Hills, baby!
Closest friends: Ryan, Max, Abdul, Alex, Mateo, and Biceps Miles. (That last one wasn’t ‘cause his biceps were ripped, but ‘cause he ripped his biceps in middle school. Lifting accidents, man.) All best friends since pretty much childhood. All ending up running different social circles in high school, but staying close as hell.
Girlfriend: half the high school woulda claimed Hayley Bradburn asked him out a month ago, the other half woulda argued that no, actually, Sophie Coram-Connell said that she was dating him, but Zanski himself woulda told you that it was Zoey Kim, the Korean exchange student during junior year.
Zoezanski, Ryan used to tease him about, ‘cause when Zanski’s got it, he’s got it bad. Pretty embarrassing the way he, so tall even as a high-schooler, seemed to forget just how big he was around Zoey’s cute long hair and accented voice and pink denim miniskirt. Thank God his mom said that he should keep in touch with his heritage and made him learn Korean as a kid, ‘cause he’s got a leg up in talking to her. And Misun, as he later discovers Zoey’s Korean name is— she’s a singer, man. Got one of the prettiest voices Zanski ever did hear. It’s why he ended up joining choir way back when, and realized he actually liked it a lot even after she left.
She used to sing a lot in the car, charmed by the cherry red color of the convertible his mom got him as he’d cruise down the coast with his hand on her knee. K-pop was what she listened to, and by extension, it’s what Zanski listened to even after they broke up.
And what a breakup it was. Remember Sophie? Sophie Coram-Connell who was rejected so nicely by Zanski that she didn’t even realize she was rejected at all?— oops! Turns out that not wanting to ruffle any feathers is a fatal flaw, ‘cause Sophie heard from Tina who’s dating Kyle who’s on Biceps Miles’ pole-vaulting team who’s following Zanski’s sister Ava that Ava posted a photo of herself, Zanski, and Zoey having dinner with the caption . . . “Glad to finally meet my brother’s girlfriend!” And Sophie freaked.
She bullied Zoey for the rest of junior year, despite Zanski’s pleading efforts to get her to stop. And Zoey begged Zanski to stop being friends with her . . . but how could he ever choose a side, burn a bridge? Turns out, the consequences of trying to rationalize and make amends between two people leads to even more friction. In hindsight, he does wish he defended his girlfriend way back when, but it doesn’t even matter now, ‘cause Zoey dumps him three months before she has to go back to Korea.
What sticks with him, though, is everything he picked up in his efforts to impress her. Is he heartbroken? Yeah, but he’s got his friends. He’s got his mom. He’s got his sisters, even if they’re plane rides away. But it’s hard to let go of the music, the singing, not when he’s finally discovered a talent he’s proud of.
And he guesses Zoey’s proud too . . . ‘cause she emails him, halfway through his senior year, with a link to Worldwide Records global casting in L.A. and nothing but the words “Go try out :)”. Well, what’s he got to lose?
It’s how he ends up having a going-away dinner with his mom and friends, and even Mia’s flown in from Harvard to attend her baby brother’s celebration. His heart is pounding as he boards the plane in early ‘11. ‘Cause he’s gonna be a K-pop idol— whatever that entails.
What it entails is Zanski having to water himself down. God, they even make him start going by Lucas again! No one’s called him that since pretty much the second grade. He’s too Western; the first few years he accidentally calls people “unnie” ‘cause he’s still getting used to honorifics. He has to be slapped on the wrist to stop hugging his seniors and clapping them on the shoulder and start bowing to them instead. He’s miserable the first few years as an idol. Even his mom notices it when he debuts in ‘14 and she comments on how he seems too tame.
But time goes by, and Prism starts garnering a bit more respect in the industry till eventually, Max is texting him and telling him that even the people in L.A. are starting to freak out over him. (But also, who the hell is Lucas?) We love to hear it, brother. (It’s me, dude. Lucas is me. Did you seriously not know my first name is Lucas?! We’ve been friends since kindergarten.)
What’s nice about respect is that people seem to start seeing his Westernness as more of a quirk than something to scoff at. Maybe it was a good thing he censored so much of himself in their early years— maybe not. But maybe it’s also pretty cool that people are starting to see him more as a hype man than the guy who was just a bit too big and a bit too jock-y. Either way, it becomes easier and easier for him to step out into the cameras, smile a casually playful smile, click his tongue with a wink, and give ‘em two thumbs up.
