So I'm doing Mermay once again this year. I'm following the official list found at Mermay.com This year will be a little weird though as I'll be leaving on a trip mid way through. I'm going to try to post every day, but don't be surprised if I end up behind, having to post when I get back.

With that said, Day 1 in workers. This mermaid is based on the Lawnmower blenny. They are cleaner fish that are often used for fish tanks. Question for you is what is your favorite type of worker fish?

the main downside to the no cameras thing is that one guy who ran into the store, dumped a dying lawnmower blenny into one of our salt tanks, and then sprinted out before anyone could do anything and he’s been banned on account of he crashed our entire saltwater system with his sick fish and killed several hundreds of dollars worth of fish and invertebrates but because nobody knows what he looks like because he was so fast we literally can’t. enforce the ban. which sucks because i want to kick his ass so badly

Blenny is a group of fish which lives on the sea floor. There are many types of blennies. Some of these fishes are very colorful and odd looking.

The above fish is a sailfin blenny. Look at the yellow horns. The blenny looks like a close relative of the dragons.

It’s a tessellated blenny.

It’s a Moyer’s scooter blenny - colorful, is not it?

New reef store had its grand opening today so you bet your ass I went there! Missed the crowd (came right when they opened). Got a lawnmower blenny because let's face it, my tank needs it. And then a couple zoa frags! Top one I already had, bottom two I got today. They also had large zoa colonies for like 100 bucks. They were beautiful. Also since my last update I rehomed the two fish I got from the pet store because one needed more room and the other killed one of my clowns like I saw them fighting. ):
