Scylla's pronoun based dialogue changes

so as i mentioned before, and as many of you may otherwise already be aware, scylla's dialogue and behavior in felix's route is heavily affected by the player's pronouns. u guys seemed interested in a breakdown of how exactly her dialogue is different, so that's what this post will be.

disclaimer: these screenshots are not direct screenshots of the code, because the actual code does not lend itself particularly well to readability or screenshots for that matter. these are instead code translations i've written out myself for better readability, but all dialogue is copy pasted verbatim.

(note for these particular screenshots, in case it's hard to follow: the first screenshot is included for context. the second screenshot is the he/him dialogue that immediately follows, and the 3rd and 4th screenshots are the she/her/they/them dialogue. split into two screenshots because it was too long for one. the rest stand on their own.)

I was watching a meme and all I could think about this idk why;

Felix: I'm going to leave Mc a note asking them to get dinner. I just need to figure out how I should phrase it? 'let's get dinner?' Or 'Do you want to get dinner?'

Sage who 'snuck' in:go with 'let's get dinner?' So you're like assertive and confident!

Felix: thinks about it*

Rime who also 'snuck' in: actually no, now you sound a little aggressive. Because you don't want to be the person that's like 'let's get dinner' like you're some kind of cave creature

Anisa the only invited person: I think the point is to ask them to dinner not tell them. Just say 'Do you want to get dinner?'

Felix: scribbling stuff out growing annoyed and regretting saying anything about it*

Sage: actually now you sound kind of like a whimp

Anisa: well the last thing you want is to be the overly masculine guy like 'Let's get dinner I'm the bread winner'

Rime trying to cause chaos: but people also love assertiveness.

Sage trying to think and cringing harder the more he speaks: how about 'dinner would be something that I would enjoy taking you on. If you were also interested in that?'

Rime watching Felix switching between what hes writing; the more words the better

Anisa cringing even harder; how about 'I would like nothing more than to take you to the finest tavern in Porrima for a lovely evening meal?'

Felix: looking at the scroll about to tell them to just leave him alone and this was a stupid idea*

Scylla who had been watching the whole event from the doorway; fuck that, just say 'dinner, tonight, seven pm, take it or leave it'

Rime nodding at Scylla: sign it, seal it, deliver it

Sage muttering: I don't get why romance is so difficult all the time

Felix @ Scylla: I'm not going to say that

Mc: who's been eavesdropping since a few seconds after Scylla* definitely don't say that

Felix: now completely dead on the inside while the others are a mix between grinning and looking natural or trying to in some cases*

watching the interview with some of the touchstarved devs brings me back to the simpler times, when i would stay up late just to watch the last legacy crew turn felix into shrek and discuss how many nipples sage has😢
