The place where I began rping, Syskonskapet (lit. Siblinghood), still exists! I mean, it seems abandoned and all, but the site is still there and functions and it made me feel all kinds of things I don't understand. Anyway, I made a quick translation of the info about the place. No canon muses were allowed, so everyone rped OCs. Words I didn't even know back then, canon, oc, muse etc xD
Anyway, the description is under the cut.
About Langtrue
The country we play in is called Langtrue and is a fairly small country in the northern part of the continent, but Langtrue in general and the area around the Village (Byn) in particular are visited by many from both near and far. The time is fantasy-time with inspiration from the Middle Ages and the climate is roughly reminiscent of the middle of Sweden - cold and dark in the winter and bright and warmer in the summer. Langtrue is a human kingdom, ruled by an aging Queen Isabella, but many other creatures hide in the forests. Some benevolently disposed, some not...
About the chat rooms
The Wärdshuset (Tavern) is located in Byn, which is never called anything other than Byn or Wärdshusbyn. The village is surrounded by a palisade and “oknytt” (collective name for trolls, fairies etc) are not welcome. However, many travellers spend the night here, for a longer or shorter time. Some are here for the library in the slightly larger neighbouring village of Waldmark, others for trade, or they are just passing through or just plain, honestly curious.
Gläntan (clearing/glade) is located by Lake Malen, a short distance from the village. Here is a bonfire that never seems to burn out completely, and here anyone can venture through. During the day, it's usually quite a nice place, even convivial - when darkness falls, you can't be so sure...
Inside the forest, far away from the roads that honest people like to use, is the Lönnkrogen (lit. secret pub). Here you can basically run into anyone or anything, and you get here at your own risk - the only law that applies here is Morel's: Morel is the one-eared, light-avoiding elf who runs the place, and you don't want to get on his bad side.
