Cloudberry Felt Cake

Fascinating piece of fruit and such a beautiful symbol of the northern resilience. Somehow it's an important symbol for me as I'm trying to reconnect with my heritage.

As I was reading about cloudberries, I came upon this Finnish idiom: Metsä kuuntelee silloin kun kukaan muu ei (the forest listens when no one else does) and it gave me goosebumps.

I'm feeling like doing a throwback to this really cool lady I designed 2 years ago, so let me do exactly that! Meet Lakka, an orc lady specialising in all things boom! 💥 She was made for a project I had, named When Reality Bleeds, which was developed as part of my end of degree project. I don't think I'll revisit it, but some cool concepts came out of that. Orcs in that setting were a sort of evolution from humans, who were more adapted to the harsh environment and thrived where humans just couldn't. Lakka joined Oathbound, an organization meant to fight Overseer, the megacorporation that had turned half of the world into a wasteland, except for the numerous domed cities they controlled. The setting also had stuff about eldritch creatures bleeding into reality after some magic mess up, which only added to the mix. Anyways, I hope you like her, if there's interest i might just revamp her!

Their name is Lakka and they are little tiny daredevil who loves a thrill! They have all the krill patterns memorized, guide moths through graveyard spirits just because, and like flying up REEAAALLLY high just to divebomb back down.

Lakka

This exotic liqueur is made from the fermentation of the cloudberry fruit. The fruits are soaked in a neutral grain alcohol over several months, then sweeteners and spices are added for flavour accentuation. Due to the fruit's scarcity, the number of lakka distributors follows suit, all being based in Finland, giving many foreigners a motive to visit and discover the liquid gold buried deep within the land.

New Dialogue system fully implemented and here's another character for y'all.

I had originally convered my dialogue system from my previous .json dialogue to a fully-incode dialogue system... but realized I wanted translation to be easier... so I ended up just fully redesigning the way the .json files were formatted and made my life a lot easier.
