Eddie would never admit it - unless Chrissy really pressed him, but there was something thrilling about the stadium. Not the place itself, but the palpable energy that was always surging through it? It was infectious, and in his not at all unbiased opinion it was all thanks to Chrissy. Well, Chrissy and the rest of the girls… and Benny. One couldn’t forget Benny. The players themselves, though? Eddie was lucky if he could remember a third of their names. It was hardly a secret that Eddie wasn’t particularly one for sports - save cheerleading. When a player scored? The crowd could be wild. Annoying, even.

That was mean, he knew. He could hear Chrissy’s voice in his head, scolding him for it. Asking how it was any different from cheering after a great roll in D&D. They were just… passionate and excited. To make fun of them, judge them, for being excited was… not nice. Still, there was a difference between that hoopla and the way she (and the others) worked the crowd. The victorious roars - the aforementioned hoopla - still echoed in his ears as he waited for her after the game. It was like… just holding a chord. Whereas the rhythmic beat of the routine, the cheers…? That was like actual music. It was a performance, it was art. Hyperbolic? He didn’t think so. The way the arena caught the gleam in Chrissy’s eyes? Her radiant Her smile? Yep. Definitely art.
