THE WALKING DEAD Best Moments:
”So many scenes I've filmed, and a few episodes, that are particularly special to me — it's difficult to pick. As for the episodes I've actually been in, first to my mind always seems to be "The Grove." One reason that episode is so special to me is because it was Mike Satrazemis' directorial debut. He'd been on the series from the start as a camera operator, then director of photography, and in those positions he was always so helpful.
Our camera crew is the best, and with the perspective they have, it's no surprise many go to directing. Getting to work with Mike in that capacity was such a treat, and the episode itself was so well-written by Scott Gimple — so complex, and so pivotal for Carol. To act that story out with Chad Coleman, Brighton Sharbino and Kyla Kennedy was thrilling. Episodes that have both that intensity and still somehow maintain space to breathe, I love those. "Consumed" with Norman, is another. Andy in "Indifference" is another.” - MELISSA MCBRIDE
“When Rick blew up on the bridge, that scene was extra special to me. I was originally written to run with the group down the bridge and be like, "No!" But Greg [Nicotero] directed that episode, and we came up with this idea that it was like he'd be in a hospital bed dying and I'm holding his hand. I know he's not going to make it through that. So to run on the bridge and be like, "Nooooo!"… everybody's doing that already.
So we made this change where I'm just locking eyes with him and I'm shooting zombies that are walking towards him, but it's more about me and him connecting. I'm here. I want you to be the last face I see before this is over. And it turned out to be such an emotionally charged scene. And it's kind of because I'm a wimp, it's kind because I love Andy, and it's kind of because of the characters, but it all just came together and I was just crying like a baby.
He came down off the bridge for my close up and he's standing by the camera and everyone's crying. Andy's bawling behind the camera. I'm bawling in front of the camera. But I like that we took that moment and we altered it and we made it different than just "Nooooo!" I'm glad that we put in the work to change it. Okay, let’s do this one more time....
Her name is Persephone Pemberton. From Earth-713, she originates from the city of New Kiev, an amalgamation of New York City and Kiev, Ukraine.
In this universe, the legend of The Scarlet Witch was treated as prophecy. Some sects even worshipped her as a goddess. So prolific was her mythos that eventually, Alchemax became determined to bring this prophecy to fruition. In order to do so, they began running human experimentation, lying to the masses that these experiments were meant for medical research.
Persephone became a voluntary subject of one of these experiments. Her parents died when she was young, and she was raised by her older brother, Patrick. From an early age, Persephone showed scientific aptitude, and a deep fascination with the meeting point where science and magic intersect. When she volunteered for the Alchemax program, Patrick volunteered with her.
They were bitten by a radioactive spider.....that had been infused with dark magic. Chaos magic.
Persephone survived. Patrick.....didn’t.
When she watched her brother die, the immense power that was now running through Persephone’s veins manifested all at once; pure and uncontrolled. All of her pain, her grief, her rage, all of it poured out of her in a single instant in a massive burst of magical power.
Her power l e v e l l e d the city. There was nothing left. No Alchemax. No Oscorp. No villains to fight. No people to protect. There was just.....her.
The Spider-Witch.
Persephone has become something more than just the Scarlet Witch. She is the point at which science and magic intersect. She can shoot webs and use magic to facilitate flight. She has telekinesis, enhanced physical strength, mind reading abilities, superhuman agility and reflexes. But more than even all of that....she can follow each string of the web that makes up the multiverse, and traverse it as she pleases. She can open up portals of her own between dimensions, without the use of a nifty watch.
(As you can imagine, Miguel O’Hara does not like this one bit.)
With nothing left in her own universe, she began to travel the multiverse, meet other Spiders, help them defend their worlds. In many different Earths, Persephone Pemberton is known as everything from a world famous singer to a teacher of astronomy and divination.
But there is only o n e Persephone Pemberton. Only one Spider-Witch.
She is entirely too powerful. And her power makes her dangerous.

Dedication is a heartfelt story about the enduring connection and love that sisters share, told through a series of flashbacks.
Lucy (Kyla McCall), is an author with a new manuscript struggling to come up with what she should say in its dedication. She reflects on childhood memories she and her sisters Shirley (Inese Hill) and Patty (Amy McCarroll) experienced from tragedies they faced to rite of passage bonding moments they shared. All three sisters play their child and adult selves fairly convincingly, with McCall’s performance being the stand-out in terms of range and delivery.
It is a seemingly straightforward story with an unexpected ending that I will not reveal here. Quiet gasps from the audience demonstrated the impact alone. Sondra Learn has written quite a poignant piece that is only noticeably hindered by repetitive transitions until the twist at the play’s conclusion. This piece of theatre would be far more effective and have even greater emotional impact were it staged in a smaller space where the audience could connect more with the powerful performances from its cast. As it is, the enormity of the stage dwarfs the minimalistic set and actors themselves. The staging of the production also has several slow transitions/flashbacks that become predictable and the pacing often falters because of it.
Dedication is full of Learn’s beloved subjects that she writes about in her other bodies of work and they are intertwined with the memories of her sisterhood trio. It is a sweet and sentimental addition to the more dramatic side of Fringe.

Maybe it’s just because I’m bitter and horrible but Speechless didn’t really rock my boat like I thought it would, don’t get me wrong the inclusion was great but a lot of the comedy was just irritating to me....with that said I am now hysterically crying at the series finale
