Noche lejana. Intento olvidarme de esta sensación de abandono que ha traído este mes leyendo la breve biografía de Paul Verlaine que hay en Wikipedia, me maravilla la relación amorosa y trágica de Verlaine con Rimbaud. En una parte, justo en la que habla de su muerte, se lee un poema del que me llama la atención su primera estrofa:

Llueve en mi corazón como llueve en la ciudad; ¿Qué es esta languidez que penetra mi corazón?

Es una descripción perfecta de estos días de noviembre. En Bogotá llueve todo el día, todos los días, y solo puedo andar pensativo y distante entre mi trabajo y las salidas esporádicas con amigos. Esa «languidez» que se lee en el poema, que en francés (langueur) se define como la falta de dinamismo o de la actividad como manifestación de un abatimiento moral, puedo relacionarla con esa sensación de levedad de las relaciones afectivas, de la extraña libertad donde todo, casi todo, vale lo mismo. Me hace sentir de nuevo el fracaso con Laura, pensar en cómo me gustaba su sencilla ignorancia de mis aficiones, era como mi Lucía sin su Rocamadour, y los días en que su presencia lejana en mi vida me iba haciendo sentir de nuevo como si ella estuviera detrás de un cristal, visible pero sin la posibilidad de alcanzarla. Me hace pensar de nuevo que no he alcanzado nada de lo que he querido y que es solo un ensueño sentirse bien por ver a los demás felices. Todo esto me hace devolver al tiempo extraño y desfigurado por el vacío donde una especie de manto negro empezaba a envolver mi vida.

For his second release on his own Heartcore Records, guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel offers an intimate trio album with Italian bassist Dario Deidda and drummer Gregory Hutchinson. Deidda has played with such Italian luminaries as singer Fiorella Mannoia and trumpeter Enrico Rava, and his warm, robust sound brings to mind contemporaries like Christian McBride and veterans like Dave Holland. Similarly, Hutchinson has been a first-call player for decades, and his roiling, textured style is the perfect foil for Rosenwinkel's sparkling, far-eyed improvisational lines. Together, they play a harmonically textured post-bop that evokes the electrified '70s jazz of guitarist Pat Martino.
