I know that the blue revenge arc in kuroshitsuji is not over yet , but what's your opinion on it so far ? Which mission is your favorite and which new character you find interesting ?
Hey Anon ! My opinion is that the pacing of this arc absolutely sucks, even if I'm well aware that it's because Yana's way overworked. Unfortunately, I find it kind of often takes away the fun of this arc.
Going back a bit, I overall enjoyed Mey and Ran's investigation and I think Jane was an important character that we need to keep an eye on.
Tumblr media
Bard's arc was slightly less interesting but I liked Ada, though I think it makes no sense for her to leave overseas, when she could have worked with Sieglinde and Wolfram. Who knows, maybe Sensei will back up on this idea and Ada will stay in England...
Tumblr media
Also I think Layla is Lord Vega and Baron Heathfield's undead child [x][x], which is probably why Mey discovered a blood collect using drugged women in his mansion during her investigation.
Tumblr media
Finny's arc was by far the one I liked the least because, Snake's tragic death aside T_T, Finny didn't discover the full purpose of F.O.L orphanage.
Sure, the kids and Finny know it's connected to the BD project, but nothing more. Personally, I believe it could be a test to turn the BD project into a profitable business [x] [x] [x], but we didn't really get more details about what these "clinical trials" were, so I was not happy. :(
Tumblr media
However, I think it's good writing that all 3 investigations went differently (Mey succeeded without damage, Bard almost died but was saved by blood transfusions, Snake died and might become a BD) and that only Ciel and Seb will manage to put the pieces together.
That's about it. Can't say I'm excited about the upcoming investigation for now, but way more by whom we might meet and know more about next (Tanaka ? Joker ? Viscount of Druitt ?).
I hope it answers your question ! Have a good day, Anon. :))

🤡 the lords of the stars
Send 🤡 for a crack theory
Lord Sirius: Well, we know that Lord Sirius is real Ciel, and that he’s now got Blavat, Polaris, and others using that title for his younger twin. A crack theory for real Ciel? Maybe that he wants his younger twin’s soul to be combined with his own body, since he cannot get his own soul back from the demon.
Lord Polaris: Since he says “butler”, I will assume this person is biologically male (though I could be wrong), and my biggest crack(?) theory for Polaris is that he’s one of the former butlers from the Phantomhive household, back when Vincent was earl. He died during the attack, but his body was spared the damage that Vincent’s received. In other words, his body wasn’t too badly burned... and it was either picked up by Undertaker or taken right to his funeral parlor by the Yard (or whoever was investigating the crime scene). Undertaker decided to turn him into an advanced bizarre doll because it would be easy to make him retain that loyalty to the Phantomhive family, particularly to whoever was the rightful heir... if either of them survived. Since, at the time, Undertaker probably had to verify that there were no remains of either child at the ruined manor. Just like bizarre doll real Ciel went through a phase of being “mindless”, so would this one. Undertaker probably just kept this one at that mindless stage until he also had real Ciel’s body and the rest , so he could advance all of his chosen “lords of the stars” at the same pace. Or nearly.
Lord Canopus: This is likely someone of relatively low status (like a servant or even lower) who died of severe injuries. They also seem to be relatively small and agile. Their room is the roughly appointed one with the bloody bandages on/near the bed and the trap door in the ceiling. My biggest crack theory for them is, if anyone from the circus was picked up by Undertaker and turned into a bizarre doll, it would be Doll, who was killed by Sebastian in some way that we didn’t witness. Stabbing? Crushing? 🤷🏻‍♀️ But Undertaker was there to witness it and would have had relatively quick and easy access... with John Brown possibly watching....
Lord Vega: Given the way they talk and how their room was appointed, it’s probably a set of twins with somewhat high status. Probably girls. My absolutely crackiest theory about them is that something happened to Bluer’s little twin sisters, and that’s why he pushed himself so hard, to the point of exhaustion, as a member of the S4. You have to remember that the S4 (when they were the P4) killed Agares, Arden, and those others. And then they had Undertaker make bizarre dolls of them. Redmond had contacted his uncle, the viscount contacted Stoker, and Stoker brought Undertaker with him. It’s possible that Bluer’s twin sisters died, and he was desperate enough to beg Undertaker to “bring them back”. Total crack, I know, and I hope it stays that way. I really do. But we have to recall that Bluer will do anything to protect his sisters. He’s the one that got the special invitation to the Midnight Tea Party the previous year... when he took a cricket ball to the face to protect a young woman in the audience... who calls to him by name; I think it’s one of his big sisters that he saves in the audience. He and Vega are not the same blood type, but Polaris (type A) and Vega (type O) can happen among children of the same parents. So, yeah... Lord Vega could be his little twin sisters.... 😔 (Link goes to really old post — over 2 yrs old — about Bluer’s twin sisters and about blood types.)

So for whatever reason, recent posts have me wondering who is Viscount Druitt to the Undertaker? They were both clearly closely involved (in charge of?) with Rian Stoker's work with the Aurora Society. It was Druitt's life being threatened by the reapers that forced Undertaker to reveal his true identity on the Campania. Undertaker chose Druitt's alma mater Weston College for his continuing bizarre dolls research. Also Druitt's nephew was used in both Weston and Sphere plots. There is evidence that Druitt was a prefect at the same time as Vincent. Undertaker and Druitt even resemble each other. Now I'm just waiting for him to surface in the current arc (probably at the resort our Ciel and Sebastian are heading to) because there is sooo much about the set up that screams for Druitt's involvement.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So what exactly is their relationship?
Thoughts, theories and meta links are welcome.

Oh dear, oh dear...
Does anyone here look familiar...
Tumblr media
No?
Tumblr media
Still no?
Tumblr media
Also, is it safe to assume that the guy behind Vincent is the  Viscount of Druitt?  Aleistor Chamber?
Just look at how conveniently was the text placed over that guy’s face.
Tumblr media
and Undertaker’s finger as well.
Tumblr media
and Undertaker’s tears falling on Vincent’s picture mother of all cats
Tumblr media
Ah... now I can properly think about this dude and why real!Ciel would accept help from him...
why he didn’t save the twins back then though... idk...
Thoughts?

Unpopular opinion: Sebastian doing bad shit isn't because he's a bad guy. It's in his nature, so it makes no sense to get mad at him for it.
Agree (with reservations). Sebastian is an immortal eldritch being from hell; thriving on human sin and suffering isn’t merely his mode of survival, it’s his raison d'être. He was born/spawned/created outside of our morality, so judging him by mortal codes of ethics is akin to condemning a hungry lion as evil for taking down a young antelope. Even as you pity the prey and hope it can escape with its life, you understand that the lion needs to eat, and went to considerable trouble in pursuit of its meal.
Oftentimes, the demon’s wicked acts are committed on the young master’s orders, which by contract he cannot violate...is it fair to exclusively assign blame to a weapon rather than the person who wields it? That doesn’t mean Sebastian is beyond reproach. He still possesses some agency, and his behavior towards O!Ciel can be manipulative and toxic, as demonstrated during the earl’s PTSD episode in the circus arc. But Sebastian is by no means the greatest evil in Kuroshitsuji, and his misdeeds sometimes pale in comparison to the depravities of human characters. What about Lord Kelvin, who kidnapped and irreparably damaged children for his demented whims, and made their bones into prosthetics? Viscount Druitt, a pedophile and human trafficker who gets off scot-free due to his wealth, social status, and impenetrable plot armor? Sieglinde Sullivan’s mother, who had her own daughter’s feet bound and raised the girl in a cocoon of lies in order to exploit her genius? Yana forces us to consider the darkness in our hearts, and whether it can drive us to become worse than demonic.

Thinking about the fact that the Viscount of Druitt not knowing yet our!Ciel is a Phantomhive is pretty relevant
Because I was just reminiscing about the theory that Druitt was maybe...
Tumblr media
the red dorm prefect at Weston when Vincent and Diedrich were also prefects. This means that, despite the many times our!Ciel faced Viscount of Druitt, including one time without disguise on the Campania, Lord Aleister Chambers doesn’t know that our!Ciel is Earl Phantomhive and, more precisely, Vincent’s son.
Tumblr media
I know he’s a character who’s played for laugh, but comic relief in Kuroshitsuji is often hiding something significant and he’s a recurring character, so he’s bound to mean something at some point plot wise, especially since he’s already a prominent member of the Aurora society.
Anyway all that to say that the moment Druitt realizes that the boy from the Campania is Vincent’s son is probably when we realize what he’s all about in the series. :))
PS: maybe the fact that he’s one of Vincent’s old “buddies” from Weston is why UT is fond of him, on top of him being funny? Like how familiar UT is with Dee, even if Druitt was not one of the Evil Nobles?
PPS: there’s also the crack theory that Bravat is the purple dorm prefect from the same gang (bc yeah i totally dig the idea that Weston is super relevant to the plot, if Weston college’s board is related to some sort of dark society, half brainwashing well-born young men who might one day have an important position in politics).

Is there any ship that makes you uncomfortable, in the fandoms you're in? (Not necessarily just Kuroshitsuji)
You're giving me a chance to vent my spleen: A dangerous thing to do! ;)
Death Note
Anyone/The shinigami. Death Note's shinigami are so monstrous and rocklike that physical intimacy with them must be extremely uncomfortable. I know this sounds hypocritical coming from the girl who's thirsty for demons, but the mere thought of a human banging one of the shinigami makes my skin crawl. Definitely a squick!
Misa/Light. Thankfully, I don't think many people in the fandom actually ship this, but it's an awful OTP. He's cold, manipulative, and misogynistic; she stalked him, threatened to kill any other girl she saw with him, and pressured him into dating her. Not exactly a romantic couple! Vanitas no Carte.
Lord Ruthven/Noe. Thankfully, this is a rarepair, but it definitely makes me uncomfortable. There's a sizable power imbalance; Lord Ruthven is a member of the nobility and much more worldly-wise than our sweet, naive country bumpkin. And August also brought Noe under his power by biting him without the other vampire's consent. A pretty big yikes factor overall!
Astolfoe. I've just never really vibed with this ship, to be honest. I'm all for enemies-to-lovers, but Astolfo hates vampires. After all, a group of them murdered his entire family. I hope that Astolfo will eventually listen to reason and realize that vampires are capable of good as well as evil. Even if that happened, however, his past trauma will follow him for the rest of his life. I'm not sure that a romantic relationship with a vampire would be the healthiest option for him, even with a cinnamon roll like Noe.
In addition, I'm not crazy about Vanijeanne...but I've already griped about that ship in a few previous posts, so I shall be good and hold my tongue. ;)
Kuroshitsuji
Any ship that pairs a guardian/caretaker with their younger charge. No explanation required, since I already bitch about this trend quite a bit! XD Vincent/Undertaker. I headcanon Vincent as Undertaker's son, so this ship makes me viscerally uncomfortable. Nina/Mey Rin. Under different circumstances, this could be a really cute pairing, but Nina's predatory behavior in the earlier chapters automatically ruined it for me. Groping someone isn't cute or funny--it's a serious violation of their personal boundaries. :( Viscount Druitt/anyone. Besides the obvious fact that he's a pedophile, Druitt just isn't that attractive to me, and I can't fathom why anyone would want to ship this nasty man with the other characters. *shudders*
Regardless of fandom, it also makes me uncomfortable when people play Russian roulette with shipping, i.e. throw two or more characters together without any clear reasoning behind it. In addition to having complementary aesthetics, I like characters in my ships to have compatible personalities and interests; otherwise, the OTP will feel contrived and unrealistic. That's just a personal preference, though!
