Chapter 193 (general thoughts .2)

I still can't believe this happened.

and I really wish I could enjoy all of their happy faces. cause it got bad reap quick.

I have 2 main trains of thought:

1) so I now know that Doll is here because she would also need a child's soul to replace her lost one, so this is where she was resurrected, or assisted in such. but, as to why she stayed instead of going out there along side R!ciel and tormenting O!ciel? interesting. I tried to look back into the chapters to see any mention of R!ciel placing counter moves against O!ciel if, for instance, he tried to infiltrate one of his bases of opportation. but I could find anything(I really thought he said that though?). I did find this however.

so either this disproves my theory that Doll was placed here on purpose, disproves the theory that Doll is one of the stars(because Polaris and Vega have already been identified)... or she is a star, and just wasnt mentioned?

I certainly feel like Doll was placed there expecting O!ciel. but "Finnian" was close enough. could this be the first mission that fails?..

2) as for what may happen, poor Finny now has some big decisions to make. assuming they get to stay because Doll either works there or has *special residence*, Finny will still want to keep away from her. drama. and as for snake, I doubt he'll find out about what the servants did to the circus troupe as soon as we thought. atleast I hope.

I'm quite happy to see finny take a more active and thoughtful role, snake as well. but ideally, under better circumstances.

Ch 193: The Norfolk Wind’s Embrace*

Ch 193 is out in Japan.

I don’t have the spoons for a full translation, but I did read it.

The gist is this: As expected, both Finny and Snake have their blood tested, but they’re told they are “unsuitable” due to their blood and can’t be accepted into the FOL Orphanage. It isn’t clear if Finny and Snake have “non-human” blood (like what happened with Sebastian) because they’re not-quite human, or if they’re simply looking for a specific blood type. Just when they think they may be screwed, an old friend appears—Doll. Snake is overjoyed, but once he introduces Doll as a friend from the Circus, Finny remembers how they killed everyone and nervously introduces himself. However, Ciel had told Doll his name was Finnian, so even if UT didn’t give Doll any instructions about Finny, this has made her suspicious. The chapter ends pretty ominously, and I suspect not everyone will make it through this sub-arc alive…

*The title has a double meaning, as usual with Yana.

The title is:

英国西部田園地帯の風に抱かれてーー

Which can translate as I did above, BUT

抱(く) has the connotation of harboring doubt or suspicion, which could tie into the whole Circus debacle hanging over Finny right now, with Doll there… It’s definitely a more ominous title than the English suggests. A more loose title trying to pull in this meaning could be “The winds of change surround them” or something like that…

So okey, i just watch the two ovas of Haikyuu!! aaaaand...

i pretty sure that they didn’t adapt all manga panels some kenma’s pretty face didn’t appear QAQ! sooo... I will put here all the panels that we will never see translated into anime for anyone that only watch the anime and for anyone that wants remember old times in haikyuu manga:

So, as this will be LONG, I’ll show the panels not adapted only from Fukurodani VS Nekoma, maybe I'll make one for Nekoma vs Nohebi later.

From chapter 190:

1) Shibayama's first thought before Fukurodani’s match.

From Chapter 191:

2) Can’t forget THE TRUMPETS! It's funny that there haven't been trumpets in the animated scene either. They cut this scene AND the trumpets.

3) Kenma trolls Tora in the warm-ups i’m pretty sad about this one.

4) Kuroo speech before Fukurudani’s match

6) This two guys talking between Kuuro’s first point and Yamamoto’s serve. Yeah, all the panels will be here.

7) Daishou's and some people reaction to Bokuto's first point against Nekoma.

I am very sad that this scene in particular not appears here because it emphasizes so much how good Yaku is but maybe I can understand that they haven’t put it since this scene should appear at the end of the third season it doesn’t (IG advanced the moment where they tell to Karasuno people that Kageyama would go to the Japan team).

We can deduce how good Yaku is for Akane, but since she is a little girl and the spectator barely knows her, at first we don’t know how much her knowledge of volleyball is. However, since we know Noya and know how GOOD Noya is, his words about Yaku makes us see how really good Yaku is when it comes to facing this scene. Its really a shame that they didn’t adapt it :c.

And yeah, I’m very sad bc this scene makes my heart beat for YakuNoya, leave me alone with my sadness pls.

36) Soo yeah... Until now they haven’t adapted some panels, faces or points that we can say that don’t change anything about what its happen. But from this moment they skip about 9 pages of manga. Like “whatever, they didn't care about this anyway”.

I’m pretty sad about this in particular because the ova in fukurodani’s match its focused only in Bokuto. And you know, Bokuto is very dependent of his team. In the anime is like only Bokuto and Akaashi exist in Fukurodani and is pretty sad because it’s a great team.

Btw, I’m pretty sure that with 1-2 more ovas this post will never exist. BC with 20 mins more they should can add all of this cut scenes.

37) People random, like ever.

From Chapter 195:

38) Sarukui’s dialogue while Akaashi thoughs “damn, i’m in love with a totally dork... nothing new but still... damn.“

39) These panels don’t appear in the flashback (which by the way changed at the moment of appear in the chapter) Personally, I like more the time of this scene in the anime. Emphasize much more the as that bokuto is.

40) the final sequence is also cut

From Chapter 196:

and this is the end of Fukurodani vs Nekoma. In the next chapter will have the interlude and Nohebi vs Nekoma match (maybe).

Chapter 193

I'm aware that most people have concluded this already, but just to put it on record it's pretty interesting that the test is based on R!ciel's personal preferences rather than his personality(or maybe the test would have lead up to there?). it's something interesting about the whole soul stealing process that I know nothing about.

as far as I know, the "appropriate" answers to the test would be

I gotta say though, this test is worded like something Lizzy would write ehe.....

Chapter 193(general thoughts)

overal, this chapter melted my heart, but there are a lot of concerns.

the fact that they both remember this place is clearly going to be very important, but I can't see any other clues here as to why(though yana does have a tendency to make plot twists hinted at by missed foreshadowing. good job yana) .

I just hope finny and snake start comparing life stories real soon cause it's bugging me. plus, I want them to be friends •v•

and ofc there's this dude, and her counterpart, both of which concern me.

this gal- who knows exactly why she's so sad about them having the wrong blood, but the fact that she's disappointed shows that she- and her partner- have a lot of devotion to this program(the aurora society as well most likely) which is frightening~. I'm just unsettled cause I have a feeling these people worked the closest with R!ciel, or his substitute. ofc we could get another Ada person, but the fact that is seems like they would be so willing to tamper with children may make them the most sinister of all... ehhh. this arc started the cutest, ofc this is where it's going
