Plot:

Tennomifune Academy is a school full of elites of academics and sports, the best of the best. However there is one class...the class of 1-7, also known as “the happiness class”. This class of 40 girls are deemed “unfortunate” in their own respect. The anime follows mainly five girls.

Anne Hanakoizumi: the most unlucky girl you will ever meet, but the most cheerful. Loves animals of all sorts, but unfortunately they do not love her back, and attack her ferociously..

Ruri Hibarigaoka: While the most “stable” of the girls, she does have her own tendency to be unlucky. She does, however, have an unrequited love with a construction site worker sign.(yes you read that right)

Botan Kumegawa: Has extremely poor health, to where holding her hand too tightly(or just delicately) will crush her bones. She also tends to have a lot of self hatred and doubt, calling herself trash or scum quite often.

Ren Ekoda: A very pretty girl, she tends to attract the attention of females of all species. Due to this she attracts many female animals who tend to bombard and climb on her, but her most “unfortunate” trait is that she tends to be very sleepy and lethargic, even though she is very spry when necessary. 

Hibiki Hagyū: Ren’s childhood friend. She has horrible sense of direction, often leading her to be late to school. She also has a massive crush on said best friend, and is often fighting for Ren’s attention.

Despite these unfortunate circumstances, the girls of 1-7 try their best to become more “happy” people. They go through the rigorous tests and trials, and make some very happy memories.

My thoughts:

This is a cute and upbeat anime, and is just fun to watch. I giggle at these poor unfortunate girls often, but only because their reactions and the way things happen is so funny and goofy. There is also adorable character “Timothy” who is a robot that looks like a rabbit, they’re very cute.

A cute comedy that doesn’t really have any major plot, so it’s not something you have to think a lot about. Although I’m sure there’s more plot in the manga it’s from.

My rating: 7/10

Favorite Character: Timothy....human wise I’ve got to give it to Ren. I understand why girls in the anime like her.
