Electric nation capital
Hurricos
If there’s one thing electric dragons stand for it’s research and technological advancement. Many scientists move to the city in order to freely run noisy experiments in a place where no one minds and research funding is essentially passed out. Experiments to fund are decided on by the dragons which run the nation, which is a council of elected dragons rather than a single leader.
With Hurricos being the lead capital of research and development the actual city itself is also heavily made up of the results of most of that research. It’s the only fully electricity run city that doesn’t rely, even in part, on dragon energy. On top of that the city is decorated to the brim with recently developed crystal screens displaying all kinds of news, but mostly newly developed products (It’s no secret why the main railway of the country has a direct transit to Artisans). The city also has the largest diversity of citizens, both dragon and non dragon.
The electric nation does share its own dark past, though, with the focus on looking forward many forget to respect the past. The biggest shame of the electric dragons lies within concurrent skies, which was a castle they had discovered mysteriously abandoned. Cynder’s takeover of the castle was seen as the perfect out to bury the shame of what they’d done there, rushing to research only the crystal technology the past owners had used and destroying much history in their attempts to reverse engineer and make their own improvements to it.

Icy Peak
Ice dragons are known as the most traditional of the elemental dragons, they’re the only ones to have strictly kept to the tradition of their royalty being only pure ice dragons. Over time the practice has been considered more and more shameful, causing the ice royalty to close themselves and their kingdom off as they began to show long running genetic health issues.
It was only with the crowning of the recent queen Kryogen that the kingdom has taken a turn for the better. After simultaneous deaths of most of the royal family lead to Kryogen’s early crowning she made an official announcement that she would begin mass funding mages who practiced medicine within the kingdom. She believes that while the practice of keeping the royal family strictly pure ice dragons is shameful, they should not have to have shame in their health or disabilities, no matter how they come about.
This has led to Icy Peak, and the entire ice dragon kingdom, becoming the capital of healthcare and magic. Pretty much any mage, especially if they are practicing healing magic, will end up in Icy Peak to practice at some point. Many will leave to take their practice across other kingdoms, while others will remain in Icy Peak and potentially work with the royal family themselves.

Fire empire capital
Ashen Dawn
Unlike the other elemental kingdoms, the fire dragons are not originally from the main continent of the dragon realms. The fire dragons were originally from the faraway continent now only known as the forgotten realms. They were overthrown by the emperor’s trusted second hand sorceress, using her powerful magic and inside knowledge of the empire she forced them to leave their home.
The dragons took their skyships and landed on the northwestern shores of the continent, where the city of Ashen Dawn now sits. The fire dragons are known for treasuring what remains of their history, as well as being masters of commerce and the arts. Many traditional methods of cooking, sculpting, and painting are done by fire dragons with skill that many others simply lack. Not to mention with their massive fleet of skyships they have many constantly moving trade routes. The biggest trade city, though, is the more modern city of Artisans.
Ashen Dawn also holds Salem’s original massive library, now run and upkept by the guardian’s sages. Original copies of books can be viewed at any time but are not allowed to leave the library, and are under constant watch. Many new copies are produced, though, and are freely available to be read and even bought.

Tree Tops
Because what’s more earth dragon than a city in the trees? Despite what first thoughts may lead one to assume Tree Tops is one of the main contesters as the biggest city on the continent. This is mainly because of the multi tiering of the city, the lowest being underground woven into the massive tree’s roots, and the highest being 5 layers of housing up. The earth dragon's leader is housed within the biggest tree in the center of the city, with each leader being “chosen” by the massive living tree itself.
The earth dragons are known for being peacekeepers, with their main concern simply being living in harmony with nature. They, however, have a surprisingly bloody war torn past. Many wars have been fought with the apes despite their near identical ideals and way of life. Because of the many controversial fights they have taken place in, a lot of malcontent has spread throughout the province and many are waiting for the day a new leader takes over. Their current leader is over 400 years old and was one of the first to fight and take land from the apes.
Not all the earth dragons have to offer is war though, their strong connection with nature gives them a lot of magical advantages. They grow some of the biggest and best produce, mine many rare materials and crystals, and are able to make powerful constructs out of plants, crystal, or stone.

Basaal, The Eternal Flame
Leader of the fire empire

Basaal is very quiet for a leader, doing a lot of listening and thinking both when talking to officials and citizens. This quietness shouldn't be mistaken for shyness though, they can have a very intimidating and commanding air to them. As is typical for fire royalty as well they're a very adept fighter, and they took their role as Eternal Flame from their uncle through arranged combat. It was a very devastating defeat on the part of their uncle and none have challenged Basaal since.

Kryogen Hydrax
Queen of the ice kingdom

Kryogen took the throne at quite a young age with the sequential death of most of the royal family, and is still the youngest of the elemental leaders. As mentioned she used her ascension to the throne as an opportunity to push for more support for medical mages in the ice kingdom. Her firm belief is that it doesn't matter if it was her family's strictly ice dragon bloodline that caused them to become sick, but that it was their shame and refusal to accept help that led to their deaths. With these mages help she was quickly relieved of a lot of her chronic pains and is continuously taken care of by a lot of these mages that work for her personally. Some claim that they would be able to heal her spine and allow her to move about without her wheelchair but she always brushes them off, claiming it's not a big deal and that it's more important to take care of bigger concerns for her and her people.

Cragg, Voice Of The Forest
Leader of the earth dragons
he/him
Cragg is one of the more controversial leaders, it was him who first led the earth dragons to battle the apes. Many earth dragons still bear many war scars from the battles and are very bitter about the whole experience, feeling it was very pointless and simply a show of power from Cragg. Some still believe he can do good, as he's been done a good job at protecting the earth dragons despite their proximity to malefor's armies and lair, but with the dragon's age and seemingly very petty spat with the apes many believe it's about time for him to step down.

Galva
Electric Council member 1
she/her
Galva is the head council of relations in the electric nation, a role she was seemingly born for as she's very clever, witty, and VERY talkative. Without a doubt the most sociable of the council she does a good job keeping everyone happy. She has a way with words and can easily dumb down even the most complex of electric dragon contraptions, essentially doing the job of translator so that other kingdoms can get a good idea of what the electric dragons need in order to negotiate.

Incandesce
Electric Council member 2
they/them
Incandesce is in charge of power and management within the electric nation. They not only keep a close eye on the power grid, making sure it's producing enough energy and is properly rationed out to all of hurricos. But they also make sure every building, electronic, and shop is within it's proper place in the city. They're not much of a talker but there's obviously a lot going on within that head as they run the planning of the city and all the experiments taking place in it like a well oiled machine.

Joulez
Electric Council member 3
he/him
Joulez is the in charge of money and repairs within the electric nation, and specifically within Hurricos. Somewhat intertwining with Incandesce's job, Joulez is in charge of the difficult balancing act of making sure that things within the city are properly repaired and maintained without blowing the whole nation's budget. He is also in charge of passing out research budgets, assuring dragons receive proper pay, and managing sale prices of anything developed and sold with electric nation backing. While he's usually quite level headed he's known for getting very upset with those who either waste research budget or charge too highly for and monopolize things developed with a given research budget. His most infamous blow up was when he kicked Moneybags and all of Auric Industries from Hurricos.

Beharrlichkeit ist eine Tugend
Ich so Oberarztvisite. Mäh. Macht mich immer noch total nervös, weil ich noch nicht so richtig weiß, was ich da tagtäglich eigentlich tue.
- "Das ist die 86jährige Frau Kryogenes, die wegen ihres kalten Beins vor zwei Wochen am rechten Bein Thrombektomiert und rekanalisiert wurde und eine prophylaktische Kompartmentspaltung erhielt. Postoperativ entwickelte sie auf ihre vorbekannte Demenz ein Delir und musste eine Woche lang auf der Intensivstation betreut werden. Sie verweigert jegliche Tabletten- und Nahrungsaufnahme und wird heute wegen hypertensiver Entgleisungen internistisch verlegt."
Unter der Bettdecke regt sich was. Frau Kryogenes' Hände krabbeln über die Enden der Decke und schieben sie einen Zentimeter zurück. Mit misstrauischem Blick taucht nur die verschrumpelte Augenpartie aus dem Bett auf und beäugt uns skeptisch.
- "Haben Sie meine Geleebananen?", fragt sie misstrauisch.
- "Nein, Frau Kryogenes. Wir sind die Ärzte hier im Krankenhaus. Geleebananen wollte Ihre Nichte heute Nachmittag vorbeibringen."
- "Ich will aber Geleebananen!"

- "Wenn die Geleebananen da sind��", murmelte Dr. Sunshine. "Nehmen Sie sich mal ein Skalpell und versuchen Sie, die Tabletten in die Geleebananen zu operieren. Vielleicht funktioniert das.”
- “Ist das denn legal?”, frage ich.
- “Natürlich nicht. Das war ein Scherz. Und jetzt entschuldigen Sie mich bitte kurz, wir machen gleich mit der Visite weiter. Ich habe Lust auf Geleebananen bekommen."

Go Raiders by Cosmo
This fine Spring morning I morphed into 99’s human body and I went for a run. Out of breath and wobbly, a sign for a 5K for a neighborhood private school fundraiser started blinking on the corner a few blocks down from my den.
Barely even collectively conscious, I wondered if I could run a 5K, when only miliseconds before I had noticed the end of the kryogenic freeze, and found an alarming amount of pumpkin seeds under my bed.
I was also covered in bandages.
The last 5K I ran was 5 years ago and I wasn’t even Cosmo Conscious. I was conscious, but the Cat-like persona, the stealth, the sleek, and the poise of Catlike creature being could not be formed on the Earthplane. She could only be reached in my mind.
Now, the entire system has reversed herself. I am a cat most of the day unless I have to go out into the world, then I assume a human form.
Last Saturday, when I met the cargo ship on the International Space Station, I ejected the human forms which had assumed inhumane form on Earth. This is also known as: I stopped eating pumpkin seeds.
