Krxken!tale Nightmare

This might be the best thing I’ve ever drawn lmao-

Tentacles inspired by this and this (Solaris’ design! @bunningchaos 🫵 you did this) and the species glass octopi (Vitreledonella richardi, I believe)

Rambling!

- He doesn’t have a specific name like Altitude (Swap) does- maybe Abyss? He would only go by that in other multiverses, though, he’s mainly just Nightmare

- He is very tall, almost 7 feet!

- He can summon up to eight tentacles, but any number over four is harder to control

- He has four layers of very sharp shark teeth, the front row like normal teeth and the back three pointing backwards

- While normally (relatively) safe to touch, strong emotions can turn his tentacles painfully cold

- He likes cold saltwater but dislikes warm freshwater, with the exception of thunderstorms.

- OH YEAH big difference between this and canon Dreamtale- instead of killing all the villagers once corrupted, he killed enough to scare them (a lot) and turned the village into his kingdom. He has ruled over their descendants for the past 500 years, living in a grand castle with servants and all that. He’s a good king as far as defending the kingdom from outside threats, but has the tendency to somewhat purposefully inflict famine or snowstorms on the kingdom and generally exploit them.

- His tentacles are very shimmery

- There’s more than that, of course, but you’ll just have to read the comic :3

I couldn’t leave Nightmare without his brother, could I?

Krxkentale Dream! Tentatively nicknamed Arbor.

✨Rambling ✨ ⬇️

- 6’6! Tall boy!

- Sometimes when he gets frustrated, he’ll just. Scream

- The marks on his face are scars from him and NM’s first battle

- Gave him some proper vaguely medieval archer attire

- About his wings- hip wings? butt wings? Idk what they’re called- so basically I saw @bunningchaos ‘s post about their OC Mirza and went “hey don’t I have a sketch of Dream with wings like that” and I found it and it was good so here we are

- He can’t fly, but his wings can slow most falls to be nonlethal and basically give him a double jump

- Those claws are sharp! They act as built-in weapons if needed, but also lead to Dream scratching up furniture and dropping pencils

- he gets feathers absolutely everywhere

- He is almost always warm and can burst into flame if his emotions are strong enough

The story for krxkentale is still in development, so I’d ask y’all to keep asks limited and keep in mind that story stuff could change^^

Also, Dust’s boss mentioned in the comic is Reaper, not Nightmare…for now.
