My part of an art trade for @konoa-t!
Within the depths of the cave, all that could be heard was the drips of the stalagmites, and the echoes of rubble falling from within. From the quiet ambience that typically lulled within, two sets of footsteps could be heard. A couple of adventures were
“Are you sure we should be doing this?” Oni asked, narrowly avoiding tripping over a stray rock.
“C’mon, it's just a cave! There’s nothing to be scared of.” Minhae said with a cheerful tone.
“I don’t know, I read in a book that there can be monsters in caves!”
The rabbit laughed. “Are you sure you weren’t just getting caught up in one of your story books again.”
“Um… I’m not too sure.” He tried his hardest to remember. “But, what if a monster does attack us?”
“Don’t worry Oni, monsters only exist in your imagination. We won’t find them here.”
“If you say so…” Oni mumbled cautiously.
The two continued into the depths of the cave, eyes peeled and ears open for anything interesting. Oni stuck close to Minhae, still rather nervous about anything unfriendly that could be lurking in the shadows. They continued onwards into the chasms for a while longer, only coming across patches of crumbled rocks. Eventually, the end of the cave was in sight.
“Okay, we’ve reached the end, now we can go back!” Oni piped.
“Really? That’s it?” Minhae sighed. “I wish we could’ve found something cool down here. We spent all that time wandering for nothing!”
“If you ask me, I think we should be grateful that no monsters came around.” He stated. “Now come on!”
Oni tried to grab his arm, but the rabbit stayed put.
“Hey, what’s the hold up?”
“I… Think I see something back there.”
Minhae squinted into the darkness, trying to make something, anything out. In the midst of the inky blackness, a faint blue glimmer flashed in the corner of the room.
“Look! Do you see that?” He pointed to it.
“I don’t see anything, are you sure you should just be walking into the dark?”
Ignoring his advice, he stepped towards the glint. Upon further inspection, it appeared to be a blue orb jutting out from the darkness. It was attached to a staff of sorts, barely visible with the limited light.
“What is it?” Oni asked.
Not responding to him, Minhae reached his paw out to the object. He wrapped his paw around the staff, trying to pull it from its spot in the wall. As he made contact with it, the orb illuminated just slightly, startling the rabbit.
“I really don’t think this is a good idea Minhae!”
“Just let me try this-!”
Taking a breath and gathering his courage, he grabbed the staff with both paws and yanked. The staff came out with less effort than he expected, and he stumbled backwards as he regained his footing.
“What the- What is that?!” Oni exclaimed as he pointed to the staff held by the rabbit.
“I… Don’t really know?” He brought it into the light, and studied the woven features of the staff.
Both their eyes then centered on the blue orb on top, almost hypnotized by the way the light reflected off its shiny glass.
“Hold on a moment, the way it glowed… You don’t suppose this staff could be magical, do you?” Minhae asked.
“I wouldn’t know, I’ve never seen one before!”
“Well, I guess there’s only one way to find out.”
Minhae positioned the staff in front of him, spreading his feet as he stared at the orb.
“Now what are you doing?”
Once again, Minhae didn’t answer. He focused his willpower into the staff, trying to channel something, anything from it. After a few moments, the orb began to illuminate, a slight blue aura emanating from it. With a flick, glowing ribbons began to weave themselves out of the staff, circling the room they were in.
“Oni, look!” Minhae said, entranced by the spell.
Oni couldn’t even bring himself to answer, likewise captivated by the ribbons. The spell lingered for a few seconds, before dissipating as Minhae brought the staff closer to his body.
“So it is magical!” He said. “Ha, what a find!”
“But what is a magic staff even doing in here?”
“Beats me. Maybe someone left it here?”
“Whatever the reason, do you think it’s okay to just take it like that?”
“Well, the staff doesn’t seem to have an issue with it.” Minhae smiled. “I say we tool around with it a bit!”
“Are you sure?”
“C’mon, what’s the worst that could happen?” Minhae retorted playfully. “Let’s bring it outside and see what it can do!”
With that, the rabbit bounded out of the cave.
“H-Hey! Wait for me!” Oni cried, stumbling to follow him.
The two headed out the way they came in; perhaps something of an adventure on the horizon. They had only scratched the surface of the secrets the staff held, but they were excited to find out more nonetheless.

The Konoa International Film Festival Reunites Prince Paul and Princess Amani of Maua
The 20th Konoa International Film Festival kicked off this evening, attracting The Who’s Who of global high society. The film organization, led by legendary director and producer Spiker Leon, emphasizes showcasing and celebrating films from all across the simtinent, explaining why HRH Prince Paul and his bro-group made a surprise appearance after days of us all playing a fun game of Where’s Paul?
HRH Prince Paul and his dapper crew swaggered down the lengthy Konoa Film Festival red carpet yesterday evening, finally answering the question of Where’s Paul. As you may know, The Family is officially on holiday at Sierrabay Manor and recently shared photos showed our Prince missing from precious family time. A day later, HRH and his crew arrived at a local airport without a clue as to their destination.
Now we know HRH and friends were en route to the Konoa North for the international film festival. Yet again, HRH and his friends were the most fashionable men in the country, breaking multiple retail websites as young men raced to buy their own versions of the suits, sweaters, and scarves.
(Above: TRSi photographers captured the moment it seemed the two would meet walking the red carpet. Both posed solo and HIH was inside before HRH rejoined his posse and headed in.)
Apart from another moment showing off HRH’s style, the film festival also reunited HRH with HIH Princess Amani of Maua. The two met during HIH’s visit to Landom, where HRH accompanied his aunt and uncle in case of a medical emergency.
Unfortunately, there are no duo photos to gush over, but photographers did capture the moment the two nearly crossed paths on the red carpet. In the pictures, you can see them near the end of the media line. People in attendance shared if the walkway were a little longer, they would’ve greeted one another on the carpet.
We do have one photo from a brief conversation between the two once inside the party.

Itachi is the only Konoha shinobi who has seen under Kakashi’s mask and it annoys the shit out of Shisui.
Kakashi ran into Itachi and Team 7 one day after a bad battle with a high level missing nin who decided to oick a fight with him for no reason. Kakashi won in the end but not without taking a lot of damage.
He doesn’t have enough energy to Kamui himself to his other dimension or to even send a message out to Obito or Tenzo, so he just tries to walk to somewhere safe and ends up running into Itachi and is team.
Itachi knows he SHOULD try to capture this man, but he’s injured and bleeding badly and he’s clearly not interested in a fight, so Itachi chooses to focus instead of healing him first and then taking him back to Konoha, since he’s clearly chakra exhausted and unable to put up much of a fight.
Kakashi doesn’t try to fend them off. He actually just collapses into the dirt leaving Itachi to pick him up and carry him.
Itachi doesn’t take off his mask though, even though the kids want to. Instead he decides to interogate the man himself, ready to use his sharingan to do it.
But Kakashi’s willing to tell him what he can, to Itachi’s surprise. Not everything, but what he needs to know. Madara’s ultimate plan, why they need the jinjuuriki. All of that important info.
Surprissed by the fact that this guy gave it all up, Itachi asks him why. Instead of answering, the guy reaches up and removes his mask, showing his face to Itachi and telling him to commit it to memory and look through Minato Sensei’s old team files. He’ll realize why then.
Before Itachi can even think of taking Kakashi to Konoa, Tenzo shows up to find him and gets ready for a fight, but Itachi chooses to take his team and leave.

Another Ackley question I thought of while falling asleep:
If Oron was still alive, would he and Ackley make a Yumi Fan club?

It depends, but I think if they both knew about their respective feelings for her, they would eventually form something similar to one. Like, they might not form a fan club per se, but they'd definitely both gush about Yumi when she wasn't around. This would be after they get over their initial jealousy of each other, of course.

Small note: any mentions of “Chima” is referring to Chimamanda, the General of the knight colony.
Ghost - While there arent any physical entities that haunt my OCs, they are most definitely haunted by their pasts. For example, Dawn’s trauma from being physically, mentally, and verbally abused by her sisters is something that tends to interfere with her life at times. There will be moments in which she is too terrified to even get out of bed, and Jamie will normally have to take measure to comfort her and reassure her shes safe.
Jamie is haunted by her adoptive parents’ unrealistic expectations of her. They expected HER to be the general, and when they found out she was only a commander that was also part of the elite unit, they expressed their disappointment and stopped talking to her for a few days. She’s stopped caring about what they think, but it still hurts knowing that the people who are supposed to love you unconditionally are setting bars that are too high for anyone to reach. Jamie also does experience a form of insecurity about her abilities because of this, which is why she shows off a lot in her fighting.
Ackley is haunted by a couple things, the most severe of these being Metus sawing off part of his wing. He will never forgive Metus for what he put him through and to this day is on a hellbent quest for revenge. He still has nightmares about what happened.
Heartbreak - Dawn doesn’t have much relationship experience (in fact, Jamie is her first partner!) so she hasn’t dealt with breakups or anything like that. She has accidentally misunderstood Jamie’s acts of chivalry as flirting with other people before, but this got cleared up pretty quickly.
Jamie has had a few girlfriends in the past, with most of them ending on good or alright terms. The worst breakup she’s had, though, is when an ex girlfriend of hers had tried to gaslight her friends into turning against Jamie when she attempted to break up with her. Of course, she picked the wrong girl to do this with, because all it did was piss Jamie off and make her leave faster, ditching the friends who sided with the ex in the process. She’s also experienced other forms of heartbreak, such as being rejected by one of her previous crushes.
Ackley has lived a life of heartbreak; He is a lover of all but loved by none. There have been countless times in which his love ended up being unrequited, to the point that he’s gotten used to the feeling of rejection. Of the people who HAVE returned his feelings, only about a handful of them ended well. One person he was dating broke up with him because they were just “experimenting” and decided that they didn’t like men (note that Ackley was NOT aware of this and was told that they loved him too). Another partner he had would berate him for very trivial matters, eventually resulting in the two of them breaking up in a fit of anger towards each other.
Alone - Dawn does not handle loneliness well… She hates being alone, even for a second. All through her childhood she has been completely isolated, so she never really wants to experience that again. When Dawn does find herself alone, she often will try to find someone else to be around or just huddle up by herself in some corner.
Jamie is fine with loneliness, but being alone does bore her after a bit. Sometimes she’ll have to help Chima out with her paperwork (or do her own), so she’s quite used to being alone for long periods of time. When no one else is around, Jamie often just hums to herself or fidgets with stuff that’s around her.
Ackley is usually lonely, so I’d say he handles it well. He has been completely alone before, and sometimes he’s fine with it. When no one else is around, he’ll often just be quiet and do whatever he wants, like reading or watching TV.
Break - Something that would cause Dawn to break down completely is if she had to go back to where her siblings lived. She hates them and would rather die than go back to them, so if someone forced her back I could see her mind snapping. When she has breakdowns, it’s usually her just curling up and crying. Jamie has seen her like this quite a few times, and always tried to comfort her if that’s what she wants. Other times, she just wants to be left alone, which Jamie will respect.
Jamie would probably break down if someone killed Dawn. If an event like that were to occur, she would be inconsolable. Jamie is a bit of a violent person, so she would probably end up trying to cut anything around her once she snaps. There would be a lot of screaming and yelling…. And things breaking. So far, only the other elite knights and Dawn have seen Jamie at her worst.
An even that could cause Ackley to break down is if someone or something were to render him absolutely powerless in the face of fate. Something that would force him to lower his defenses and accept the horrifying reality of his current situation, that situation being anything ranging from the death of his friends to having to witness death and catastrophe at his hands (assuming he’s being controlled by someone else or something like that). If he were to get into this state, I could see him just becoming really sullen and depressed, not wanting to talk to anyone. He would definitely become more reclusive, as he would be under the constant fear of hurting others. Ackley often tries to mask his sadness or lower points, but Syth is the one person who does a pretty good job at seeing through this ruse. Therefore, the only person to have witnessed Ackley at his worst is Syth.
Failure - Though most would not view this as a “failure” on her part, Dawn personally thinks that her biggest failure is when she allowed a poor bird to be crushed by one of her sisters. She had taken an injured bird into her care when she found it outside of her window, feeding it and nursing it back to health. Dawn’s sisters found out about the bird one day and screamed at her for letting “filthy creatures” into their home. Her eldest sister then took the bird and squeezed it until it no longer drew breath, something that stuck with Dawn for the rest of her life. To this day, Dawn has not forgiven herself for what happened to the bird, but anyone who knows about it usually tries to tell her that it wasn’t her fault. Most of her friends know about this.
Jamie’s greatest failure is when she was negligent and burned the female barracks down. She was being stupid and messing around with a blowtorch when she set the carpet on fire. She’s moved past it herself, but all of the other soldiers try to ensure that she doesn’t have access to blowtorches anymore. Chima was obviously not happy with this and chewed Jamie out for it. She also had to do a week of community service for it. The entire colony knows of Jamie’s screw up, unfortunately.
Ackley’s biggest failure is when he killed one of his old friends in an attempt to save his own life (this was prior to the colony era). When he was in his teen years, he and another mercenary he teamed up with went to an underground palace to satisfy a contract that required them to kill the king of this palace. He went down and things were going well until they finally reached the king. They were severely outmatched in terms of power, with the king almost wiping them both out. Before the finishing blow, the king asked Ackley that he could choose to live and sacrifice his friend, or spare his friend’s life in exchange for his own. Terrified, Ackley chose his own life, thus betraying his friend and allowing him to be killed. The king told him to run and never come back, which he did. Ackley never returned to the man who gave him the contract either. He simply just picked up his things and left. While Ackley acknowledges that he was just an arrogant kid, he still has a hard time forgiving himself for what he did, and from that day forward vowed to never betray another soul. No one else currently knows about this; it’s his dark secret.
