Hi there. I’ve found another “magical boy”, though he’s from another preschool show. His name’s Jay, and he’s from a cartoon called Kiya and the Kimoja Heroes. His hero name is “Flying Rockstar”, and his powers have to do with music; his weapon is a guitar.

Like the rest of his teammates, he borrows powers from a magic crystal.

Okay, I am SO adding this cartoon to my watchlist! Not only that, it’s a cartoon with an female african protagonist, too! I’ve watched a li’l bit of the video, and so far, it reminds me of PJ Masks and Kody Kapow (two other shows with transforming heroes).

Once again, preschool shows contribuiting more to the Magical Girl genre than any other series with an older demographic...

I can finally announce that for the past year I’ve been working on Kody Kapow, first on the design team under Saud Boksmati, and later transitioned to the story team under Jiin Park & Ian Cherry. 

This is my first time storyboarding in the industry, learning a lot and having so much fun! :D

So before We begin, today's the MLB trade deadline. And with Your Dad and Mom being Sawx fans, haha, that means Your also a Red Sox fan. So I want You to know that today the Sawx traded for Addison Reed of the New York Mets. The Red Sox sent 3 Pitching Prospects. They also traded for Eduardo Nunez of the San Francisco Giants. They sent a Pitching Prospect for him also. Eduardo Nunez had been on fire. I think there gonna go on a streak and get hot. Now back to the real world, haha. We had another fun day today. I couldn't help but to fill Your pool up and get Us all in. Your Mom and I had a blast. So did You. We're really enjoying using the Patio area this summer. It's coming together. We rode the swing in the bright sun after and dried off. We watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Kody Kapow, & Caillou. We vacuumed the living room and the bedroom. We took Rylee out to play. Job Shadow Reflection Decision to shadow this Position

           I decided to seek a job shadowing position in animation because I had an interest in graphic design. I went into this experience with hopes to learn more about advertising and creating ads through digital design, animation however, was very different than my intended career path. With a background in traditional visual arts, I thought the best path that would allow me to combine my business and artistic roots, would be an ad designer. Mr. Chou, I knew worked in an artistic field and was successful in his line of work. I thought that animation and graphic design were in very close fields, but quickly learned that they are worlds apart. I learned a lot about the world of creative design and computer arts, not necessarily in the field I wanted to go into, but the skills I gained can be transferred. Previously, the most intimidating part to me would be handling the software needed to design the creations but I learned that is a learning curve, and the difficulty comes in the creative aspects of the position. I didn’t know much about the company’s origins or their function, but quickly learned that they produce animated children’s shows such as Thomas the Tank Engine, I was surprised to learn that they partner with producers in Los Angeles and actors from both Toronto and the United States, there was so much more to animation than I thought and I built a greater appreciation for the graphics in all animation I see.
