#fiberuarychallenge2021 Day Five Prompt: Friday Night: Most Friday nights find me ensconced in my comfy chair, knitting bag beside me, yarn and needles in hand, bingeing on some Hulu, Netflix, or Amazon Prime offering, but TONIGHT was a little different. Knit City Canada presented a virtual Zooming Happy Hour, hosted by Tracie Millar and Jodi Brown, aka The Grocery Girls; Gaye Glasspie, aka GGmadeit; and Aimee Gille, of La Bien Aimee yarns, and, for most of the event, my computer screen placed me in VERY close proximity to them! #fiberuarychallenge2021 Day One: Intro Selfie It's baaaaack: Daily prompts from the inspired mind of @creativececi to celebrate fiber lovers worldwide! Hi! I am Janet, a sixtysomething mom and grandmom from the western suburbs of Chicago. Somehow being all alone these past ten and a half months of COVID19 isolation doesn't seem quite so awful with needles clicking away, squishy postal deliveries arriving, and knitting friends kept close thanks to Zoom or, in warmer months, socially distant meet ups in the park. I taught myself to knit nearly forty years ago, but became sidetracked by sewing pretty little dresses for my four daughters.
