få vann/vatn på mølla
snakke ivrigere enn før (etter å ha fått støtte for meningene sine); bli ivrig etter å ha hørt andres argumenter speak more eagerly than before (after receiving support for their opinions); become eager after hearing the arguments of others
Some new exhibitors got a kick out of it when we could boast of return flight tickets under a thousand Norwegian kroner Alta-Oslo.
Dissatisfaction with the emperor was already great even before Noir was shot, and for furious Frenchmen it was like pouring oil on the fire.
The expression goes back to an old expression in Danish and Danish-Norwegian which means 'it gives support to his opinion'. The expression is mentioned in Peder Syv's proverb from 1688. When you get water - or grain - on the mill, it goes faster, and you have more to work with. In a figurative sense, it will mean that you get more to talk about, but without - as the expression is used today - that you necessarily need to have received support for your arguments.

DM: The prompt this week for Dad Facts is your character's reaction to blood.
Andy (playing Una): I have a professional fascination with it. I don't like when the people I care about lose a lot of it, though. Like in the arena, that was too much.
Adam (playing Billie): Out of combat, blood makes me go into instant Mum Mode.
Hamish (playing Thaddeus): Put a plaster on it and kiss it better?
Adam: Exactly. In combat, it makes me mad. Nobody's allowed to hurt my friends. That needs to stop straight away.
Tati (playing Seraph): Cuts or nosebleeds are just part of life, but if I see a lot of blood out of combat it worries me. In combat I want to be as far away as possible because I don't want to be next.
Hamish: I've seen a lot of blood in my life as a paladin. Caused a lot too. It's kind of run of the mill for me.
M (playing Kjell): For me, it depends on context. If it's mine I'll rage. If it's someone else's and I'm already raging... I don't want to say 'arousing'...
Tati: Invigorating.
M: Exactly.

New Post has been published on https://vinbo.com/wordpress-5-4-adderley/
WordPress 5.4 “Adderley”
Tumblr media
Here it is! Named “Adderley” in honor of Nat Adderley, the latest and greatest version of WordPress is available for download or update in your dashboard.
Tumblr media
Say hello to more and better.
More ways to make your pages come alive. With easier ways to get it all done and looking better than ever—and boosts in speed you can feel.
Welcome to WordPress 5.4
Every major release adds more to the block editor.
More ways to make posts and pages come alive with your best images. More ways to bring your visitors in, and keep them engaged, with the richness of embedded media from the web’s top services.
More ways to make your vision real, and put blocks in the perfect place—even if a particular kind of block is new to you. More efficient processes.
And more speed everywhere, so as you build sections or galleries, or just type in a line of prose, you can feel how much faster your work flows.
Tumblr media
Two new blocks. And better blocks overall.
Two brand-new blocks: Social Icons and Buttons make adding interactive features fast and easy.
New ways with color: Gradients in the Buttons and Cover block, toolbar access to color options in Rich Text blocks, and for the first time, color options in the Group and Columns blocks.
Guess a whole lot less! Version 5.4 streamlines the whole process for placing and replacing multimedia in every block. Now it works the same way in almost every block!
And if you’ve ever thought your image in the Media+Text block should link to something else—perhaps a picture of a brochure should download that brochure as a document? Well, now it can.
Cleaner UI, clearer navigation—and easier tabbing!
Clearer block navigation with block breadcrumbs. And easier selection once you get there.
For when you need to navigate with the keyboard, better tabbing and focus. Plus, you can tab over to the sidebar of nearly any block.
Speed! 14% faster loading of the editor, 51% faster time-to-type!
Tips are gone. In their place, a Welcome Guide window you can bring up when you need it—and only when you need it—again and again.
Know at a glance whether you’re in a block’s Edit or Navigation mode. Or, if you have restricted vision, your screen reader will tell you which mode you’re in.
Of course, if you want to work with the very latest tools and features, install the Gutenberg plugin. You’ll get to be the first to use new and exciting features in the block editor before anyone else has seen them!
Tumblr media
Your fundamental right: privacy
5.4 helps with a variety of privacy issues around the world. So when users and stakeholders ask about regulatory compliance, or how your team handles user data, the answers should be a lot easier to get right.
Take a look:
Now personal data exports include users session information and users location data from the community events widget. Plus, a table of contents!
See progress as you process export and erasure requests through the privacy tools.
Plus, little enhancements throughout give the privacy tools a little cleaner look. Your eyes will thank you!
Tumblr media
Just for developers
Add custom fields to menu items—natively
Two new actions let you add custom fields to menu items—without a plugin and without writing custom walkers.
On the Menus admin screen, wp_nav_menu_item_custom_fields fires just before the move buttons of a nav menu item in the menu editor.
In the Customizer, wp_nav_menu_item_custom_fields_customize_template fires at the end of the menu-items form-fields template.
Check your code and see where these new actions can replace your custom code, and if you’re concerned about duplication, add a check for the WordPress version.
Blocks! Simpler styling, new APIs and embeds
Radically simpler block styling. Negative margins and default padding are gone! Now you can style blocks the way you need them. And, a refactor got rid of four redundant wrapper divs.
If you build plugins, now you can register collections of your blocks by namespace across categories—a great way to get more brand visibility.
Let users do more with two new APIs: block variations and gradients.
In embeds, now the block editor supports TikTok—and CollegeHumor is gone.
There’s lots more for developers to love in WordPress 5.4. To discover more and learn how to make these changes shine on your sites, themes, plugins and more, check the WordPress 5.4 Field Guide.

CANTLON: (FRI) WOLF PACK LIMP HOME
Tumblr media
BY: Gerry Cantlon, Howlings HARTFORD, CT - When last seen, the Hartford Wolf Pack (16-7-2-5) were riding-high on a five-game winning streak, but that came to a crashing halt as the team came off two of their worst performances of the season in Charlotte against the Checkers as part of a three-game road trip. They started off by losing the back-end of a home-and-home with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms last Saturday. “We played good enough in Lehigh Valley, but in Charlotte we weren’t really ready to play in the first period. They really took it to us. We played better later, but too little, too late, to make a difference in the outcome,” remarked Pack head coach Kris Knoblauch who was keeping an even keel about the performance. Charlotte has been like a graveyard for Wolf Pack teams the past few years. They are winless in the Queen city at 0-12-0-0. Besides getting outscored 13-4 over two games, for the first time in the AHL franchises' 1,624 games, as either the Wolf Pack or CT Whale, the team's two goalies were lifted in back-to-back games. Were Igor Shesterkin and Adam Huska the sole reasons for the losses? No, but they had plenty of company. For the first time though the two of them looked mortal between the pipes. Shesterkin, who held the AHL's best Goals-Against-Average entering the two games, is now is fifth at 2.14. He was lifted after surrendering goals after facing 19 shots in the first period alone. Huska was fine in relief with 19 saves on Tuesday night in a 6-3 loss. “To be honest, pulling them was more because of not wanting to leave them in the way the team was playing… not very well in front of them. Igor and Adam have been so good for us all year, and I don’t think there's a coach in the league after thirty games that could say they weren’t at their best. They’ve been exceptional. It was the first two games they haven’t been. We still trust our goaltenders very much,” Knoblauch stated. Then, in a 7-1 thrashing, Huska was pulled after the second period with just 10 saves and a trailing 4-0. Shesterkin fared no better surrendering three more goals. “Honestly, we had a good streak. We won five and now we lost three. Sometimes it happens,” said Phil Di Giuseppe, “Now we have had some success against Providence, hopefully they played Wednesday, and tonight we can take advantage of that." He'll get the call tomorrow against the P-Bruins, who hold first place, two points ahead of Hartford (41-39). They lost to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, 1-0. Knoblauch was self-critical as well stating, “The coaching staff has to get better too, and address things and trends a little earlier.” This was also the first time this season the Wolf Pack looked like the team of the last two years. At times they were undisciplined, disinterested, and not playing as a five-man unit. “We're going to have to play a lot better all throughout the lineup than the last two games. Providence is in first place." The Pack played as if they were already on Christmas break and will be after Saturday’s game. “We're in the middle of (the season) now and everybody else in the league is in the same position. It’s still no excuse for the way we played. Hopefully, we can get things off on the right foot for the New Year. Everybody has got each other’s back and we're looking forward to it. We’ve had a lot of changes lately, but that’s pro hockey these days.” said Di Giuseppe. NOTES: After ten games and no points, the Wolf Pack reassigned Ryan Dmowski (Old Lyme/Gunnery Prep) back to their ECHL affiliate, the Maine Mariners. Jansen Harkins, the son of ex-Hartford Whaler Todd Harkins, has 31 points in 30 games with the Manitoba Moose. He was recalled by the Winnipeg Jets. He was a scratch in Thursday’s game in Winnipeg against Chicago. Scott Morrow (Darien) who plays at Shattuck’s St. Mary’s (MNPREP) has committed to North Dakota (NCHC) for 2021-22. The Canadian-entry for the Christmas-time, European six-team, Spengler Cup Tournament in Davos, Switzerland has some familiar names. The GM is ex-Whaler, Sean Burke. The head coach is former New York Ranger, Craig MacTavish. His assistant coach is ex-Whaler (in spirit only), Paul Coffey. On the ice will be ex-Pack, Adam Tambellini, as well as ex-Sound Tigers, Andrew MacDonald, and Dustin Jeffrey, as well as former Quinnipiac Bobcat, Justin Danforth, and former Ranger Josh Jooris, and ex-Ranger and Sound Tiger, David Desharnais all lacing them up. HC Davos features a trio of ex-Pack players. They're led by captain Andres Ambuhl, Danny Kristo, and Casey Wellman. HC Ocelari Trinec (Czech Republic) has ex-Pack/CT Whale, Tomas Kundratek, David Musil, the nephew of former Whaler and Ranger, Robert (Bobby) Holik, and goalie Nick Malik, the son of ex-Whaler, Beast of New Haven, and Ranger, Marek Malik. TPS Turku (Finland) features as their captain, ex-Pack, and Ranger, Lauri Korpikoski, and from HC Ambri-Piotta (Switzerland), Brian Flynn (Pomfret School). Former UConn Husky, Philip Nyberg, after having contract dissolved by Mora IK (Sweden - SHL) signs for the rest of the season with Lindloven IF (Sweden Division-1). Ex-Sound Tiger goalie, C.J. Motte, goes from HC Innsbruck to Coventry Blaze (England - EIHL). Ex-Sound Tiger, Robert Nilsson officially retires as a result of concussion issues from ZSC Zurich Lions (Switzerland - LNA) and a ceremony will be held January 18th. Ex-Pack, Ryan Haggerty was dealt by the Pittsburgh Penguins to the Florida Panthers for Kevin Roy in a minor league swap as Haggerty heads to the Springfield Thunderbirds and Roy to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Haggerty scored the game winner in his first game a Thunderbird. Springfield also did some additional holiday house cleaning sending Blaine Byron to Ontario for future considerations. One of the few AHL coast-to-coast trades since the Pacific Division was created. After the break, the Wolf Pack play the Bridgeport Sound Tigers who have had two lineup additions. Robert Carpenter, the son of former NHL'er, Bobby Carpenter, and brother to Team USA's forward, Alex Carpenter, has recovered from a preseason injury. Returning from his Islanders imposed exile in Toronto is truculent forward, Josh Ho-Sang. He demanded a trade at the end of training camp and has been working out at the University of Toronto and was shaken the team hasn't traded him. The US WJC camp is in full swing in Plymouth, MI. Leading the charge is goalie and Darien-native, Spencer Knight (Boston College/Florida). He is being joined by fellow former Avon Old Farms Winged Beaver, Trevor Zegras (Boston University/Anaheim). Also on the roster is Christian Krygier (Michigan State Big 10/NY Islanders), the son of former Whaler/Nighthawk/UConn player, Todd Krygier) and K’Andre Miller (Wisconsin Big 10), the Rangers first-round pick (22nd overall) in 2018. Mattias Samuelsson (Western Michigan - NCHC/Buffalo), the son of former Nighthawk, and Ranger, Kjell Samuelsson, Jack Drury (Harvard - ECACHL/Carolina), the son of former Whaler, Ted Drury and the nephew of current Wolf Pack GM, Chris Drury. Shane Pinto (Selects Academy at South Kent Prep/North Dakota - NCHC/Ottawa) and the Islanders sent current Sound Tiger forward, Oliver Wahlstrom over. The USA team is in the Czech Republic and the final team will be announced on Christmas Eve Day. Ironically or not, the Islanders didn’t send Noah Dobson to the Canadian team. Peter Dilaberatore (Quinnipiac University) and Barrett Hayton (Arizona-NHL), the son of former New Haven Nighthawk, Brian Hayton, are with Team Canada. Team Sweden has two Ranger prospects, defenseman Nils Lundkvist, and center Karl Henriksson. The US team will be playing in Group B in Ostrava, Czech Republic and the opening game is against traditional rival, Canada on Boxing Day at 1 PM on the NHL Network. All preliminary and medal games will be shown on the NHL Network. Lastly, sad news during the holiday season. Former Whaler, Scot Kleinendorst, passed away Tuesday from the injuries suffered at a mill plant in his hometown of Grand Rapids, MN. The family took him off life support as a result of the extensive nature of his injuries. Kleinendorst played in the NHL from 1982-90. He appeared in 281 games for the Hartford Whalers, New York Rangers (53 games two goals and 13 points) and the Washington Capitals. His NHL totals were 12 goals, 58 points, and 452 PM. With the Whalers, he played five seasons (210 games) tallying nine goals and 40 points. He played collegiately at Providence College, then in ECAC, but who are now in Hockey East. He and his brother, Kurt, were both drafted by the Rangers in the 1980 NHL Draft out of PC with Scot going in the fifth round (98th overall) and Kurt was taken in the fourth round before (77th overall). Kurt coached in the AHL with Lowell, Binghamton on two different occasions, Iowa and Belleville. He presently coaches the Nuremberg Tigers (Germany-DEL) that features ex-Pack players Chris Summers, and Chris Brown. Kleinendorst after starring at Grand Rapids High School, where he was first-team All-State defenseman in 1977-78 and part of a Minnesota state championship team in 1976. Read the full article

Politiker: Kjell Magne Bondevik, Norges f.d statsminister / Alf Svensson / George Bush / Jimmy Carter / Abraham Lincoln / Ronald Reagan / John F. Kennedy/Winston Churchill/Dwight Eisenhower/Franklin D Roosevelt
Författare: Leo Tolstoy / C.S Lewis/Charles Dickens/Fjodor Dostojevskij
Filosofer: Immanuel Kant/Albert Einstein/William Lane Craig, professor i Filosofi vid Talbot School of Theology i La Mirada/ Alvin Platinga, Calvin College, som har Fil.Dok. från Yale University m m.
Kristna Journalister: Per Östlin / Carin Stenström / Hans-Göran Björk / Mats Tunehag /Thomas Österberg/ Göran Skytte
Kristna Läkare: Bara i t ex Storbrittanien finns c a 5000 kristna läkare, t e x Dr. Stephen Craddock/ Dr. Jeremy J Franklin/ Dr. Margaret Spence. I Sverige finns många kristna läkare, t ex Sara Degerman-Carlsson/ Ulla Palenius och Magnus Landgren.
OBS!
Detta är några av de sammanslutningar av forskare som tror på Gud: • American Scientific Affiliation • Association of Christians in the Mathematical Sciences • Christian Association for Psychological Studies • Christians in Science • Presbyterian Association on Science, Technology, and the Christian Faith

pov youve been polluting the ocean for your own profit and now two 20 year olds are about to fuck you up
lore dump about this au under the cut lol some day i will write something properly!! also dont even mind the fact that solvei's hair gets bigger all the time. she's older here i'll blame it on that, she lets it grow out a bit
wow ok i gotta dump a bunch of lore from the story i've got going on in my mind with this au lol
also thank you izzy for that very awesome idea of the antagonist having a polluting stand thats literally SUCH good idea ok. im obsessed with it.
so, some of you who have read the lore about skagen know he nearly drowned as a kid but got caught on a fisherman's hook and thats how he got the fucked up eye and scar.
well in this au, the hook he was using is one that he found washed up on a beach. he doesnt really know or understand why he felt compelled to use that hook; it looked really old and kinda useless compared to his modern ones. it was made out of something that looked like bone, and when he touched it, to his surprise it was still extremely sharp; sharp enough to poke through his skin and make him bleed. without really thinking about it he set out to go fishing and thats when he caught skagen on his hook, saving him from almost drowning yadda yadda.
what the fisherman didnt realise until later is that the hook awakened stands in both him and skagen.
years later,  authorities are noting a quick decline in the local marine wildlife on the swedish west coast. after testing the water they also notice an absurd amount of pollutants in the water. local fishers are forced to go out further with their vessels in order to even be able to catch anything that isnt completely full to the brim with plastics or half dead from oil. the weird thing is, nobody has really seen any oil spills in the area. nobody has reported anything about it either.
but there is one fisherman who still manages to sell quite a bit, and he quickly becomes someone that everyone on the islands know about. after all hes pretty much the only one that keeps fishing in the same waters and seemingly has no problem despite the worsening conditions of the ocean.
fish, birds, seals keep washing up dead on the beaches and it eventually becomes a huge problem and people are concerned for not only the wildlife's health but also the humans.
skagen and his parents are not being able to catch or sell anything, and people are slowly beginning to turn their eyes towards the lone fisherman that doesnt seem to have any problem. most people accuse him of simply being a dickhead who sells sick poisoned fish to people without caring for anyone elses health, however skagen gets an odd feeling every time he passes him by the docks, like something is tugging at his very soul. he tells solvei about this, and while she doesnt get him she of course trusts him. the two of them decide to confront him one evening at the docks when the fisherman is returning back after a day at sea. the second solvei (in her kinda intense and eager way) starts questioning him, he gets his fishing rod out and immediately attacks her by throwing the hook at her face. it gets caught under her chin, slicing the skin from chin to lip. the fisherman flees on his boat, like a coward. skagen brings out his stand förutan vind on pure instinct and sits down to helps solvei stop the bleeding, but as he does, he turns to watch the fisherman leave. they both lock eyes, and skagen can see the fisherman also has a stand. he slowly starts to connect the dots of the entire archipelagos situation from the last couple of years.
and so solvei develops and stand as well, which is called sunnanvind! my idea with her stand is that it can heat the air and create mirages, but heating the air also means it can create deadly temperatures in a small given area. it also uses its "tail" to attack on a shorter range, kind of whipping its enemy like a thresher shark does to its prey.
OH AND ALSO. förutan vinds ability! in typical jojo fashion none of it makes sense irl but whatever. it can basically force the winds into meeting and cancel each other out, essentially "freezing" the air in place. when it does this it can basically hit pause on the air, that includes the air in peoples lungs, including skagens lungs. the area of effect on this ability is 5m from the stand, so whenever skagen uses this ability he has to move out of the way. this ability is also limited to roughly 2 minutes before it tires skagen out too much. other than this ability, it can redirect and force winds in whatever direction it needs to, enabling him to sail even when there is no natural wind. because han kan segla förutan vind >:)

20 ways to overcome creative block
It’s great working in a creative industry, but can be tricky to stay enthusiastic and inspired all the time. We asked leading designers how they beat creative block. Follow these 20 quick-fire to get your creative juices flowing again.
01. Tap into your subconscious
Shotopop took an imaginative approach in this Clarks Originals campaign
“Strange things happen in a semi-sleep state, when your unconscious takes over,” says Shotopop‘s Casper Franken. “Wake up and write down whatever was happening before you forget it.”
02. Get it down on paper
Write your main ideas down in columns, and list absolutely everything that comes to mind. You can mix and match the lists for unusual and original combinations.
03. Always carry a sketchbook
Jot down any ideas as an when they come to you
Don’t go looking for inspiration: “A visually loaded word or phrase can jump out from a passage of text, or a song,” proposes London based designer and illustrator Craig Ward. “Be sure to sketch those ideas down when they come.”
04. Don’t be afraid to step away
Completely open briefs can be the worst for causing creative block. Try to distance yourself from the project; take a break and come back to it with a clear head.
05. Finish what you’ve started
“There’s no such thing as a bad idea: the creative part is in seeing it though to completion, and turning dreams into reality,” argues Mr Mills, creative director at ustwo.
06. Put some fun in your studio
“Sterility leads to an empty void of nothingness,” adds Mills. Always try to inject some colour and life into your studio, and don’t run it like a clinic or a prison.
07. Don’t retread your steps
Illustrator Alex Trochut believes in starting each new project with a fresh slate
“Inspiration is intangible: you can’t do it on purpose,” believes illustrator Alex Trochut. “If you just try to reproduce how a good project happened in the past, you’ll never get the same result.”
08. Look in unlikely places
Go and do something else entirely. You’d be amazed at where new ideas are hiding out. They’re often where you would least expect them to be.
09. Expect the unexpected
Kjell Ekhorn (Norwegian) and Jon Forss (British) have worked together as Non-Format since 2000
“The best ideas don’t need to be sought out at all; you just have to train yourself not to swerve out of the way when they jump out in front of you,” remarks Jon Forss, co-founder of Non-Format.
10. Explore other creative disciplines
Inspiration can come from anywhere. Look beyond other illustrators and designers: photography, typography, fashion, film, packaging and signage, for instance.
11. Expand your mind
Kladnik & Neon is a duo at the crossroads of art, illustration and design
“It’s like mushroom picking: you wander through the magical woods of inspiration and see a big, beautiful mushroom,” are the surreal musings of Slovenian duo Kladnik & Neon. “Pick it, make a delicious meal, and if your friends like it, go into the woods for more.”
12. Go against the flow
Try to approach every brief with the opposite of what everyone else would do. It might not be the direction you choose in the end, but it can help to avoid cliched scenarios.
13. Take notes on life
Joanna Basford’s amazing illustrations are often inspired by uncreative pursuits
“The best ideas often come when doing completely random, uncreative tasks,” confesses ink evangelist Johanna Basford. Jot them down as they come to you, or snap a photo of things that catch your eye.
14. Grab some ‘you time’
Working on too many projects at once can stifle your creativity. If you’re feeling burned out, take some time to yourself and turn everything off for a couple of days.
15. Don’t be bound by the brief
For its Freefolk rebrand, Planning Unit focused on conveying the creative collective’s independent spirit
On smaller jobs, less information can sometimes be better to avoid forced influences. “Your solution might open the client’s eyes to new things,” points out Jeff Knowles, founder of Planning Unit.
16. Broaden your horizons
Immersing yourself in particular arts or cultures that you wouldn’t normally be interested in could lead to interesting mixed-context inspirations, so get involved.
17. Push the boundaries
Experiment in your personal projects or, if you haven’t got the time or energy after a hard day’s work, go off on a tangent for an hour while working on an actual project.
18. Get a fresh perspective
View things from different angles. Some upside-down lettering in a stack of papers or a scrunched-up sketch can create unusual shapes and spark off new ideas.
19. Sleep on it when you can
Illustrator and letterer Jessica Hische created this typographical rug for her studio
“Try not to think and do on the same day,” suggests Jessica Hische. “You tend to sort the good from the bad naturally, and occasionally come up with some really off-the-wall things overnight.”
20. Shake up your surroundings
Try different working environments to keep things fresh. Sketch at home or on the train, refine final work in your studio, and brainstorm in coffee shops, for instance.

ITS BEEN AGES..... but here he is. the main villain in the ancient hook story.... and also Lovart's father.
sorry for my handwriting btw hgjkfgfdj
god.... okay finally designed this guy. he's the main villain and Lovart's father. because i'm evil and liked the idea of the trio having to face off with Lovart's absent shit father (who btw is responisble for Lovart's scars on his forehead and stuff! finally theres a backstory.)
this is the fisherman that saved Skagen from drowning when he was a kid, which also gave him his stand Förutan Vind. because in this story thats how he gets his stand. whatever. anyway its the ancient hook that gives people stands here and Kjell is the one who finds the hook, and when he accidentally pricks himself on it his stand Plastic Beach is awakened in him. a bunch of years later he starts using his stand to pollute the shit out of the waters to force other fishermen out of business and for his evil selfish greedy purposes i guess. when this happens Skagen and Solvei decide to head out and investigate what the fuck is happening, and they confront Kjell since he seems to be the only fisherman in the area who still manages to catch and sell anything (although, the stuff he sells is also full of pollutants and junk so .) it all ends with a fight where Kjell attacks using his fishing rod with the ancient hook, hitting Solvei in the mouth and consequently giving her her stand Sunnanvind and a large scar stretching from her lip to her throat.
the whole story kind of ends with them having a deadly battle where Skagen is forced to use Förutan Vind to freeze the air in place, making both himself and Kjell unable to breathe, and he ends upp killing Kjell in the end. agh.
yeah. idk. i have more thoughts and stuff but im tired and dizzy so i'll write more at another time or answer asks if anyone wants to know more!!
bonus rough sketch of his stand plastic beach btw

ok i need to know. lovart and kjell. is it normal daddy issues, jojo daddy issues, or neither. also like i need to know more about kjell. 👀
oh the daddy issues are intense, he was an abusive piece of shit!!! the scars lovart has on his eyebrow, forehead and in his hair are because of kjell. exactly how he did it is maybe not that important but yeah. he hit his kid.
kjell left lovart and his mum when he was a teenager, maybe around 15 or so?? lovart cut contact immediately and hasnt seen him in purpose in like 10 years. he might have seen kjell from a distance on accident while out and about but it always ended with lovart turning the other way and fleeing, just to avoid confrontation.
i think the most important aspect of kjell is he's a coward. he runs away from his problems after he causes them himself. hes loud and rude and wants everything to go his way or no way at all. he makes promises he can never keep and lovart has always been able to see through it.
i think a humanising part of him (sort of. hes awful lol) is that the reason he tries so hard to gain more money on polluting the sea and forcing other fishermen out of the waters is that he just has a lot of debt he needs to pay back. life hasnt always treated him well and when he got his stand he was confused at first and years down the line he got an idea and just ran with it out of desperation. a shitty, really stupid idea with grave consequences, but when youre really desperate its hard to see any other way if youre dead set on something

Kjell looks like the type of parent who thinks a 1 gallon fishbowl + some water is enough for a pet fish to live in, and just goes "welp, that one was weak, let's buy another one" when it dies after like three days.
youre literally so right holy shit HDSJKGSHDJK and the stupid thing is HE KNOWS FISH. FISH IS LIKE HIS ENTIRE THING. he knows they need more space and proper husbandry he just doesnt give a shit
