so it's most midnight by me, and i just wanted to made a little sappy post... i came back to tumblr in january of this year after a three year hiatus in the euphoria fandom where i reconnected with some of the best folks i've met on this hellsite ( @redemptioninterlude @notcruel @killjoysanonymous looking at you lot, and honorary mention to my bestie @liiabilities who i will dag back to tumblr in 2023 just you wait & to @kitkween even thought you left tumblr dot com earlier this year ily and your always stuck with me ) the first half of this year was full of late night sunday's screaming at you guys and the rest of the week decompression from the episode and talking about our unhinged but often accurate as fuck fan theories, it was a fucking pleasure to come back to such a precious wee group of friends.

then as the year went on, i eventually made this blog and got knee deep in the stranger things fandom, which was warned about getting into (lmao lor when do you ever listen, they can't be worse than riverdale, right? wrong.) but i don't fucking regret a second of it because i have met some of the best people , who i am lucky to call friends, who, while we might not always speak daily you have all made this wild little corner of the internet we all call our own a wonderful place to be, and are the reason i stuck it out in this fandom, and will continue to in 2023! special mention to @usawfulfew @clockworkfm @temporarywiin @tthehair @kingsnack @eddie @cleryc who i have had the pleasure of getting to know better over the last couple of months, you have all made my 2022, and can't wait to see what 2023 brings for us all!

there's a nervous laugh that bubbles to the surface, and he catches himself thinking what the fuck type of school girl giggle was that? it's not like he hadn't thought about it, all the times his eyes trailed up her thighs when she'd wear them leather skirts and shit, it wasn't like he was some kinda pervert, but he was no saint either, and she was fucking hot.

Jenna wasn’t entirely sure that Kat would buy anything that she was selling, but it was worth a shot. She just wanted to go on a road trip to the ocean with friends.

The faint muffle of the television playing outside audible from the crack in the door left ajar, with Ashtray and Faye occupying opposite couches in the other room. They sit in a comfortable silence, in his bedroom their own unspoken language often enough, especially in moments like this, when he’s blurred lines before, not wanting to compound onto any of the pain he can see painted on her face.

So he lets her sit with it, until she’s ready to talk; if she even wants too.

Kat on his bed knees pulled up to her chest, hugging herself tight, Fez perched on the edge wondering what had led her here this time; but knowing the answer inevitable.

Fez hates the way this makes him feel, fire pitted in his stomach, jaw tense as he brings the joint up to his lips, sucking hard to let that smoke fill his lungs, he repeats a few times before passing it to her, still in silence, mouth twisting to offer a lop-sided smile as she takes it from him and their fingers brush. Unintentional yet, it leaves his with an ache for more, lost in his thoughts momentarily, and he’s caught off guard by her voice pulling him back out from his head.

“ why is it you're always the one to pick up the pieces every time my heart breaks? ” she asks.

And there is a tiny part of him, in the moment, that wonders what would come of the truth.  If he were to tell her now how watching her lose herself over the last few months has damn near broken his own; but he can’t be selfish, this wasn’t about him. 

He leans back, elbows digging into the comforter, a sympathetic smile pulls on the corners of his mouth, a hand reaches out with comfort to land gentle on her knee, a soft squeeze, and he sighs.

“ain’t that what friends are for? -”  Friends, well fuck, didn’t that just feel like a soccer punch to the gut.

cote eyes her. kat is painfully pretty. making sure to get eye contact, she offers the girl her cigarette as she blows smoke out the corner of her mouth, “mmm, like your outfit. the harness thing. it’s really cute. where you buy that?"

Ethan avoids her eyes and focuses on the flask in his hand. He can’t believe she’s talking to him now, even after the fight they had that left things up in the air between them. He sucks in an airy breath and sighs. “Kat, why do you even care?” The question escapes cold, emotionless. Yet the storm rages within him; heat in the chest that rises to sting at his eyes, on the verge of betraying him. He wants to tell her that her, them, that’s worth destroying himself for but he feels like he’s said his piece. “I just wanna be alone.”

          Kat had seriously been exposed to some sort of feline energy magic because she had recently gone from looking cute on a regular basis to looking like a she-devil in the very best way possible. As Jules would state it, she was pretty much like the goddess of fire and leather at this point-- or something to that extent. With Jules proclaiming herself as fashionably inclined, since it was her upmost passion, she was thoroughly impressed with what Kat had been wearing.

With the inspiration shes been getting from her -- Jules took it into her own hands to give Kat a little surprise for her birthday that was coming up. Jules had designed her a dress, fully custom. It had been a couple months since Jules had even wiped the dust off her sewing machine and even used it, she’d just been so occupied with other things, but this called for it. It was a structured black dress with leather strap-like detailing and a trim of red faux feathers across the neckline. Totally had a timeless yet high fashion vibe. Jules grabbed Kat by the hand forcefully and pulled her so that Kat was sitting down on her own bed as Jules stood before her. 

“Okay, so first of all ---- I know you’ve been really busy with stuff lately, but there is no excuse not to go to that party with me tonight, because I have special something for you.” Jules grinned, eyes full of excitement as she let out a giggle that she couldn’t withhold. Pulling the gift bag out from behind her back, she shoved it Kat’s way, impatiently anxious to see her open it.
