Magitober 2022 Catch-up
I’m really behind on these, but I’m still drawing them, so! Batch post time!
Also I actually scanned these in like a responsible person, but they’re still in my sketchbook. I’m trying to use up the pages, and I’ve only got four left >:)
Day 2 - Patrol Team
I ended up going with my flame team, ‘cause it was the team I had active at the time, I’d just missed recording my current all elements team. This was the first time I’d drawn Himika, Karin, or Shizuka, so hopefully y’all can tell who’s who.
[Skipping Day 3 ‘cause ahahaha I can’t even draw normal Witches, let alone make one. Sorry.]
Day 4 - Favorite Homescreen Outfit
Obviously it’s gonna be Aimi’s winter outfit, though Tsuruno’s Hikoboshi outfit and Masara’s winter outfits are close seconds. And yes, I did actually draw out the cables. I’m currently working on a pattern reproduction of her scarf and hat, stay tuned!
Day 5 - Folklore of Zero
My favorite faction! Since I still haven’t pulled her (goddamn you f4 for the anniversary gatcha,) I drew Rabi! Err, well, I tried. Her pose is a smidgen off, and I know I didn’t draw her war bonnet correctly at all, but hey, an attempt is an attempt. Sorry, Rabi.
Day 6, AU, is gonna be skipped for now, ‘cause just like last year, I’ve got something larger planned for that one. See y’all soon with Day 7!

Alright, enough with the chargemagia team, I’m goin’ back to my normal rat extermination crew. I’ve actually got a true anti-evade on Kamisen, and this time, the Tsumugi Swords is letting her hit with about the same amount of damage as Kirino on a non-dark target. I’ve tested on some Yozus and an Aniyachi so far, and I’ll keep testing in Endless throughout, but it’s 10pm EST currently and the reset’s at 1am, so... panic mode engaged.
I’ll try and figure out what I’m doing wrong with the chargemagia setup after this ranked is over and I stop finding nightmare bait defense teams everywhere. Also, JP playerbase, a cordial “fuck you” from all of us, thank you and goodnight.

The Me I Might Have Been
Obtainability: Limited for the “The Mirror That Reflects My True Self” event shop. This is event bonus memoria and it should be kept in case of a rerun.
MLB Effect: Defense Down [10%] & Defense Down Further [15%] (One / 1 Turn)
Effect Definitions:
Defense Down decreases the target’s base defense.
Defense Down Further is similar to Defense Down, as it decreases the target’s base defense.
TLDR: “The Me I Might Have Been” is surprisingly helpful, particularly as it let you wipe out Anti-Debuff on the enemy team (especially concerning the 100 Evils).
Review: “The Me I Might Have Been” is nearly identical to the memoria “Shining Like the Setting Sun.” Because this reviewer is lazy, this review will be copy + pasted.
“The Me I Might Have Been” isn’t a groundbreaking memoria, but it’s also not too bad for anyone new to the game or to some free-to-play players. It offers a collective total of 25% Defense Down towards an enemy target-- initially this might seem pretty mediocre considering a single copy of “The Way Home after the Rain (Mito)” gives 40% Defense Down... to all targets, with a lower cooldown to boot.
However it’s never a bad thing to have multiple copies of Defense Down. Additionally, there is another benefit to “The Me I Might Have Been:” the fact that it has two debuff effects instead of one means that you can use it to clear off pesky Anti-Debuff off of enemies.
Now, clearing off Anti-Debuff tends to be more important for Mirrors Ranking given that annoying units like Madoka & Iroha exist, who will give their entire team 2 stacks of Anti-Debuff from the start of the fight. “The Me I Might Have Been” has a cooldown that is slightly too long to be useful in Ranking for this purpose. However, Anti-Debuff can be found outside of Ranking too-- one notable example includes the recent horrifyingly difficult Anniversary 100 evils from Stardust Mirage. The last battle gave the entire team stacks of Anti-Debuff, making it difficult to Mito Rain away their Attack and Defense.
However, “The Me I Might Have Been” means you can use this memoria as Anti-Anti-Debuff fodder to wipe out two stacks of it, letting you use better and more powerful Debuff memoria afterwards.
One last thing important to note is that “The Me I Might Have Been” isn’t actually the best memoria in the game for wiping away Anti-Debuff-- no, it actually belongs to what was considered before a pretty pathetic and useless memoria:
(4*) “An Uncrossable Gap” Magia Damage Down [35%] & Accele MP Gain Down [27.5%] (All / 1 Turn)
This memoria has a low cooldown (good for Mirrors!) and will apply two debuffs to the entire enemy team, making it extremely useful.
That doesn’t mean that “The Me I Might Have Been” is useless of course-- who knows what horrible team you’ll be fighting in the future. If you’ve unlucky enough that you’ve never gotten a Mito Rain, then this memoria should be helpful with increasing your damage a little bit at least.
Overall a good memoria, especially for Free-to-Play.
