A quick look at what I put on the bottoms-
Each sculpture has my signature, which is this funky little symbol thing I've been using since middle school. (It's my old nickname written in a cypher I made up in the sixth grade.)
They also get the year, and a number that helps me keep track of them in my glaze notebook.

Making my own ceramic beads has to be one of the most rewarding developments in my creative journey this year. I'm so excited that the clay worked in the mold I took of the vintage lucite bead and they fired in the kiln just perfectly (thanks to @little_mouse_pottery ). And the glazes I used are a reminder that Spring is here and it is beautiful. I've paired these feather/leaf style pottery pendant earrings with ceramic beads above and reclaimed Venetian confetti glass beads. For the clay + project I used cloth and cardboard to dip into clay slips to create a variant of colored layers for my spices concept.
These are trial pieces and are waiting to dry to put into the Kiln to be fired.
This picture ↓↓↓↓ is the result after firing in the kiln has occurred.
The materials used have burnt out and the forms of the materials are what is left behind.
After Firing...
They were fired lower than 1000 degrees and as a result they are very delicate and easy to break. Some of the structure's have crumbled.
It will be interesting to return them into a higher firing for a second time over 1000 degrees as they should harden up.
