Oh man i just had an entire ted talk in the shower before i even saw the ask. I won't go over the whole thing, so instead i'll just say a few things i would've changed/am not a fan of (pls remember I really enjoy it but I also like to be critical about the media i consume):

Aya's outfit. It makes me so uncomfortable, I would've given her a full tshirt or at the very least a longer crop top and slightly longer shorts. If the show was more popular, I think she would've had the same discourse as Momo's costume from My Hero Academia.

More Akagi! I saw some people say he's gonna die and grr i wish we saw more of him, i really liked his character:(

I would've made Robara a girl. Ngl, I thought he was a girl for the first few chapters and then was very disappointed to find out he's a guy. I think the religious themes with Hinata would've been sexier if they were lesbians, but that's just my opinion. Now, I'm not sure if I just didn't get his character, but like. Why does he get castrated after the fight? I think someone tried explaining it once but I still don't get why it was necessary.

I personally like when shows get dark and have morally gray characters, but there were definitely times I felt uncomfortable reading the manga (Yui's memories, which were a lot less detailed in the anime).

Also I get the impression the manga and anime have different target audiences. The anime feels like it wants to appeal to younger audiences, so I understand why they censored (and tbh im glad they did, im not a big fan of sexual assault in media in general, but especially when they're minors)

Finally, as much I love Kon, I think there should be more girls in the story. The rest are either dead or i personally am not a fan of (except Kumi and Inari, whom I dislike as a person but can respect the character) (Also I'm speaking from the perspective of someone who's only read up to chapter 51, so I don't know if any of the things I said change in those 2 new chapters I'm missing).

This being said, it's one of the few mangas I keep up with, so that should tell you something. I really like it and am strongly considering cosplaying again just for Nobimaru, who is slowly becoming one of my all time favorite characters. So yeah, I know I talk about what I like in Kemono Jihen here, but felt the need to point out some flaws I've noticed. I'm curious what others think tho.
