Actor Toshio Shiba, who played Silver Kamen's civilian identity, Koji Kasuga, assists the crew with dressing HIS alter ego, Silver Kamen, played by stuntman Hisashi Kato.
Back in the day on most Asian film and television productions, especially in Japan, EVERYONE - including actors - helped out behind the scenes; none of this "I'll be in my trailer" crap.
Part of that, I imagine, is due to the more communal culture in Japan, emphasizing teamwork. The other part is that it was a necessity given the break-neck speed films and television shows were filmed.
Kato-san would be the suit actor playing Iron King the following year, which probably saved the producers some money on costuming. You see, Iron King wore the exact same helmet as Silver Kamen, so they already knew it fit Kato-san.

Tsuchigumo. Jorogumo. Mystic Eye, activated.
No escape. His eye, the eye of the man who really was Kashin Koji (not the Assassin who is unsure that she's even alive), is one of Compulsion. Dragging you in. Dragging you under. His-her-their word. Law.
Kashin Armaments, Parallel Activation. Adjusting Limiter. Maximizing Pain Production.
They are a doll. They are a doll-maker. Their finest work? Kato Danzo. The woman who was a mother, a shinobi, and a teacher...but in the end, only a puppet of his. Kashin Koji is sure that he does not regret breathing life into her, though.
Which is the opposite of how they feel about themself. Their arms spin and vwhrrrr as their legs withdraw into themselves, replacing themselves with long robotic missile pods.
Grant me all your severed heads. Experimentation must be done.

youtube
Realizzato in computer grafica presso ORANGE (Land of the Lustrous, Beastars), questo nuovo adattamento completo dell’iconico western sci-fi anni ‘90 è diretto da Kenji Muto (direttore d’episodio in Land of the Lustrous e in Garo: Honoo no Kokuin).
Tumblr media

Nobuko Miyamoto and Tsutomu Yamazaki in Tampopo (Juzo Itami, 1985) Cast: Tsutomu Yamazaki, Nobuko Miyamoto, Koji Yakusho, Ken Watanabe, Rikiya Yasuoka, Kinzo Sakura, Yoshi Kato, Hideji Otaki, Fukumi Kuroda, Setsuko Shinoi. Screenplay: Juzo Itami. Cinematography: Masaki Tamura. Production design: Takeo Kimura. Film editing: Akira Suzuki. Music: Kunihiko Hirai.  I would like to experience bliss like that of the baby at its mother's breast at the end of Juzo Itami's Tampopo, oblivious to anything else but its food and its source. If Itami's charmingly satiric film is to be trusted, of course, that kind of bliss is available to us at any well-made meal. I say "well-made" because that's the process that forms the plot of the movie: the quest for the perfect bowl of broth and noodles. Tampopo may be credited with awakening some who now dabble in gastronomy, not to mention the others like me who are voyeurs of the food-obsessed and the translation of cuisine into competitive sport on shows like Top Chef or Chopped. The death of Anthony Bourdain, for example, brought on a wave of mourning that used to be reserved for the passing of beloved movie stars. But Tampopo is not just a celebration of food and eating; it's also a survey of food as accessory to other pursuits, such as sex -- the interpolated scenes featuring the Man in the White Suit (Koji Yakusho) and his girlfriend (Fukumi Kuroda) -- and business -- the scene featuring the stodgy corporate honchos baffled by a French menu and one-upped by a lowly but savvy junior executive. 【STORY】 This is a true-life documentary by Mutsuki Kameyama, a young film director who continues to challenge the world, in search of the future of the Japanese film industry.

概要
AI KOKO GALLERY

Overview
AI KOKO GALLERY has moved to a new space. As the first exhibition after the relocation, we are pleased to announce Kato Koji's second solo exhibition.
In recent years, Kato has focused on the historical background of specific places and objects, connecting the past with the present, big stories with small stories, social issues with personal stories from his unique perspective, and creating new "narrative" vieo works through a life-size filter. The exhibition will feature a "Retrospective" of the works.
This exhibition is an independent retrospective exhibition in which the artist will reexamine various themes that he has researched through his works, such as "U.S. military bases," "Indonesia and Dejima," "Fathers," "Cenotaphs in Hiroshima," and "Montanus's Japan Magazine," and redefine the relationship between these themes. The exhibition will be held as a special benefit for visitors.
As a special NFT for visitors, we will distribute free of charge the original design data of the review "Real Imaginary Travelogue" written by sociologist Yoshitaka Mohri, which was first shown at AI KOKO GALLERY in February last year.
Artist Statement
I have become a very forgetful person recently.
I am chronically anxious, as if I am forgetting something important little by little as I concentrate on the production and work in front of me, and as I accumulate more and more of them.
Creation is always like a process of focusing on what is important and significant in front of me at that moment in time, and giving form to it. Whether it is a video, sculpture, or painting, I put my memory and will into the medium.
And with the feeling that the traces of something I painted that I thought was important have become a part of me, I sometimes call it a part of my own activities. That is why it is always important to be oneself.
It would be a stretch to say that humans are forgetful creatures, but there is also a sense of resistance that says, "I shouldn't forget (I don't want to forget!)," which is natural.
This exhibition is intended to be an autobiographical "retrospective" to re-draw what was once touched, what was once thought, and what was once important, and to recount the sensations of that time through an "exhibition”.
