Liam has been smitten with Ros for what seems like his whole life. He made an impression on her when they were kids, a bad one, when he cheated at chess. He’s been trying since then to make up for it. He’s a mild-mannered man, who was roped into the Greek life against his will but making the best of it. He likes to cook, he likes spending time with Ros and feeding her. Rosaline is a sassy little so-and-so, who delights in teasing Liam, and just about everyone. She likes her freedom, she likes having choices, which is why she broke up with him after they dated for so many years as teenagers. She thought, maybe he wasn’t the end-all-be-all for her.  Liam was crushed but still held out hope she would realize no one would love her as much as he did.

She finally did come around and accepted his proposal. She isn’t settling, she is just ridding herself of any doubt that there could be anyone better than him.

Mother’s Day 2022 - 4/4 Yasmine Kapitha is of an entrepreneurial mind and has the philosophy ‘it can always be better.” She joined the large Kapitha family when she married their youngest son after meeting him as a young adult at school. She is not a native Kashmirian but was a transfer student at Sim State University. Her parents passed away so joining a large family was very comforting to her and she tries to give back to them as much as she can. She’s contributed to the Kapitha legacy in more ways than one. Not only is she the mother to three bright, young, Kapithas but also started up the Calypso Cafe, a family restaurant naming it after the Kapitha’s matriarch, her mother-in-law. She has a warm presence within her family overall but sometimes her serious and ambitious side is something to contend with. Her twins, Shreya and Shalin are a handful and Yasmine finds trying to usher or corral them to do anything is nearly impossible. She sent them off to summer camp last year so they could expend that wild energy. They are both 10 years old–Shreya chatters endlessly about her favorite television shows and Shalin wants to learn how to skateboard which Yasmine has forbidden as of now since he can’t seem to walk up the stairs without tripping. She demands more of Laika because Lai is the eldest and therefore has more responsibility. She may butt heads with her eldest daughter at times but it’s nothing a calm conversation in a few hours won’t smooth over when Laika is done being a dramatic teenager. Lai is expected to have good grades, broaden her horizons with school activities, and under no circumstance is she allowed to date until she’s graduated. Yasmine nor her husband like the idea of Lai being distracted from her school work which she’s worked so hard to achieve the top grades in. They’ve asked her numerous times to consider applying to the preparatory academy in order to bolster her scholarship opportunities yet can’t understand why Lai doesn’t take that initiative when she does with so many other things. Yasmine would never consider herself a nagging mother but Lai has sometimes accused her of it. Yasmine has considered just inviting the headmaster over herself but who has time when they are running a restaurant? The meal alone would score them enough points to get in, she has no doubt. It would be another feather in the Kapitha family’s hat to add students of the Academy to their long list of accolades.

Lai & Caleb Basically, inseparable BFFs The type of friendship that starts when a boy asks to borrow a pencil and a kindhearted girl with an impressive collection lends him one. The type where they spend lazy summer afternoons swimming or reading comics. The autumns, riding bikes and exchanging interesting facts. The winters, rolling around in and throwing the snow. Springtime was spent playing the yard, blowing bubbles and showing off their moves from P.E. The only thing that can separate them is teenage hormones.

Mothers 2021: Melody Kapitha Melody Kapitha blames all her twinn-y siblings for the fact she was the only Hart sibling to birth actual twins. Seriously, out of her five siblings, four of them being two sets of twins, and a collective of fifteen grandkids on that side of the family, she was the only one who ended up giving birth to twins! Twins are no picnic! Luckily, she has her hunky husband, Anton, to help out and rear them. Now in their teen years, Melody feels like she's riding one of those mechanical bulls, with her children making her attention go one way and then ripping it away to focus on another! And she has to be careful not to fall off! First there's Ros, who is actually named Rosaline but when she reached adolescence she demanded everyone call her 'Ros'. Melody was okay with that nickname and it was less syllables to say anyway! Ros sometimes acts like she's too good to have Melody around so Melody makes extra sure to embarrass Ros in front of her friends in retaliation. When they go bowling as a family, Melody will often squeeze Anton into a smooch right in front of both their children and they hate it! Roderick is a social butterfly, and the second most datable teen guy in Kashmire (according to the gossip of Ros's friends), but also secretly sensitive. One time Melody, accompanied him to a play date and his friend's nanny got into an argument with Melody, and ended up shoving Melody right in front of Roderick which caused him to start sobbing! Even a few days ago, some random lady burst into the house and shoved Melody for her amateur daytime stargazing and Roderick cancelled his plans to call his girlfriend so he could cry about his mom getting shoved again. Roderick hates seeing people shoving his mother. Melody can handle it though! She never lets herself get ruffled, and has had years of practice growing up with five siblings. She has a very easy-going demeanor as a mother. She works as a specialist at the Scandalica City Hospital, she doesn't feel woozy at the sight of blood much less feel bad she got shoved when she didn't deserve it! She's always been the vocal parent, on account of her husband's personality that calls for very little words, but that suits her fine because loves to talk! She even tells Ros and Roderick's dates funny stories of them when they were little. Oh, they hate that too.
