Things I Loved in S2

In no particular order;

- I can’t praise the cast enough for their acting, everyone was on their A-game and fucking knocked it out of the park

- Baby Basset!!!!! The cutest little bubba!!!!!

- The country dance scene at the unattended Bridgerton ball! Anthony calling to Hyacinth and the reveal that she and Gregory were lurking upstairs - the way Anthony twirled Hyacinth when she reached him - everyone having fun and getting lost in the dance - even Eloise enjoying herself - Hyacinth and Eloise getting spun around by their brothers - Violet dancing with Mary and Edwina - Gregory dancing with Lady D - Kanthony dancing together at the end - Hyacinth asking if they can do the quadrille next... the whole scene was perfection!!!!

- Gregory and Eloise practicing dancing together and how he genuinely had an interest in learning!!!!

- It really got me the way Penelope whipped out a full parchment from her cleavage during the Whistledown flashback at the top of the season.

- Theo Sharpe and Mr Dorset being very cute additions to the cast 😏

- Kate fitting in with the Bridgerton siblings right away during Pall Mall

- Anthony’s face when she happily waded through the mud to retrieve her ball

- I adored the moment they fell into the mud together and couldn’t help but laugh

- Violet and Lady D losing it and laughing with hopelessness during the wedding; very relatable

- The scene with the king; the queen was so vulnerable with her love for him and how incredibly well Edwina handled the situation

- Anthony’s scene with Gregory... god dammit the emotions...

- As well as Kate’s scene with Mary in the final episode, fucking A* acting

- Just how much Kate and Edwina love each other

- Dorset wondering aloud with Kate and Anthony should be separated at the races for encouraging each other

- The fencing scene! Brothers trying to best each other! Brothers needling each other! Brothers avoiding real conflict but giving us a glimmer of underlying and unsaid feelings!

- Anthony and Newton’s face-off through the crack in the door

- Anthony inhaling Kate’s scent and Lady D catching him

- Honestly just how fucking horned up he kept getting just from her scent

- The way I squealed when Sir Phillip appeared! And how happy he was to chat with Colin about all the plants he saw on his travels!!! He’s so pure!

- Oliver and Amanda confirmed!!!!

- Philippa marrying Mr Finch!!!!!

- Anthony’s siblings hoping Kate comes to live with them when he marries Edwina! The panic he had at the mention of her name!

- The general sibling sparring and teasing

- Kate telling Anthony she’s to return to India once Edwina marries him and his face completely falling

- Edmund’s death scene... the anguish of it all...

- Anthony tearing up when he heard Kate had woken

- I’d have to say my favourite cover was You Oughta Know

- When Colin took Penelope’s hand in the final episode!!! How he took Marina’s words on board and recognised how important Pen was to him!! How he was ensuring to look out and protect her and her family!!! The way he stood up to Jack and played the hero!!! Dancing with Pen!!!

- And then what she overheard after all that... as much as I adore the sweet Polin interactions, I also live for the Polin angst!!!!

- Eloise and Penelope’s showdown... the acting was off the charts, the emotions were palpable... Claudia and Nicola fucking nailed it

- Penelope befriending and teaming up with Madame Delacroix

- Every time Kanthony held/brushed hands like you dumb sluts

- And the tension in their dances... I live off of that shit

- Colin having to cover for a high!Benedict

- How little Eloise cared to hear about Colin’s travels

- Also that interaction between Eloise and Colin when the family convened during the wedding which was essentially Colin saying;

- And of course; Newton
