re: KamuKoma vs KomaHina, I feel like that poll needs a third option because I agree with you that they are not the same but I disagree that they are different ships.
You mention that the dynamics are different but an important thing to note is that even within just KomaHina there are a lot of different dynamics? Ch 4 KomaHina is not the same as Ch 1 KomaHina is not the same as Ultimate Talent Development Plan AU KomaHina is not the same as Ch 3 KomaHina is not the same as post-canon KomaHina. KamuKoma imo is just another specific facet to this which is usually like... 'Despair KomaHina'.
Izuru is very open to interpretation and his relationship with Nagito is completely fanmade as they only interact twice in canon. Therefore it's possible to view them as different ships or not. My interpretation of Izuru is very based around how I see Hajime (which is also left somewhat open as Hajime is not as robustly developed as more intentionally complex characters like Nagito and Mikan), so that's how I feel. Idk.
Hmm, I don't disagree with your anon. It's true that komahina has different dynamics too, and many of them. But for me that just means it develops and grows as the characters do and different situations present themselves (which is how most relationships work anyway)
Kamukura for me is just a completely different character, I think even people that headcanon them as being one post-canon, they still make a differentiation between Hajime and Izuru. Hajime is a developed character and Izuru only has hints of a character, he's more of a plot device tbh. No offense to him, he's an interesting plot device, if a little underused in canon.
And, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think people ship them for very different reasons. Kamukura, at least as far as I can tell, is usually depicted as lacking emotion, if he's with Komaeda, he might show more interest in him or something, but it's a big contrast with Hajime who literally never stops having emotions lmao. Well, that's how I usually see him. It's also that I think Komaeda sees Izuru and Hajime in very different lights, and they in turn see Komaeda very differently.
They have different personalities, beliefs, morals, emotions, motivations, etc. They pretty much only share a body (sometimes depending on who you ask). So yeah, they're just completely different characters for me

The Ultimate Hope, Izuru Kamukura, who used to be nobody of any importance, swirled into the room in a cloud of white curls and crisp linen. His manservant, deep in homework books, half looked up and grunted.
"Absolutely unacceptable," Izuru said in lieu of a greeting.
Hajime chewed his pen.
Izuru took it away from him. "No inky-mouthed luck antics today. I'm not in the mood."
"I need that to... ugh." Hajime closed the textbook. "You're gonna keep pouting until I ask you what annoyed you, right?"
"Since you ask." Izuru whisked the homework stack aside and sat on the desk. The sudden proximity of his rear end sent Hajime's seat lurching backwards, barely staying upright. "The Ultimate Neurologist is utterly intolerable."
"So what else is new?"
"She tried to make me watch..." Izuru shuddered overdramatically. "Anime."
"You're such a pointless snob, Izuru." Hajime started trying to reach around the prominently present, perfectly pert posterior for his textbooks. "What're you afraid of? That you might enjoy it?"
"Little risk of that. She talks and eats throughout, both with her mouth open." Izuru's hand slammed down on the book stack before he could pick them up.
"So? Just say no thanks. It's not hard. Well, I guess being polite is hard for you..."
"I did, in fact, decline the invitation, and I was not unnecessarily rude, whatever you may imagine in that creaking Cresta Run you call a brain."
Hajime groaned and flung his hands up, accepting the books as a lost cause. "Then what?"
"Then..." Izuru put a hand to his chest and let fly a voluminous harrumph. "She said... 'Fine! If you can't keep up with the cool kids, go running home to your little boyfriend.'"
"What?!"
"Exactly!"
"Wh... what?"
"The nerve of the woman! As if a pinnacle of scientific masterwork would...!"
"Like I'd agree to...!"
"Yes! As if you'd shoot so far above your station!"
"I wouldn't even... wait, huh?"
"I was offended on your behalf. The thought of you forgetting your place to that extent-- stepping so far out of line...!"
"Hey, slow down..." Hajime put a hand to his forehead, where the usual Izuru Ouchies were starting to make themselves known.
"What a perverse wretch. I knew you'd understand."
"Uh." Hajime blinked a few times. Izuru always put on that air of superiority, it was true, but...
Izuru, his rant achieved, moved off his desk and went to pout on the room's single bed.
"You know, I always took it as at least partly an act."
"What, her persona? She wields crudeness like a rapier."
"No... not..." Where had his pen gone? He felt around under the desk. "So that's how you really see things, huh?"
"My perceptions can't even begin to be comprehended by a normal human being."
Thump, went his head on the underside. "I'm an Ultimate too, you know."
"By the slimmest of technicalities. Luck is no real talent."
"Well, nor is..." Being experimented on! Hajime emerged, rubbing his blossoming headache. "But... if you actually think nobody's worthy to be with you like that..."
"I do not," said Izuru, in that one especially self-absorbed tone, "hold positions unsupported by evidence."
"...then you're going to be very lonely for the rest of your life."
"I hardly think so." Izuru graced him with a smug glance. "After all, I have you, Hajime."
"You know what?" He'd risen to his feet before realising it. "Homework can wait. I'm going for a walk."
"Oh. All right, then." Izuru grandly waved him off.
Hajime would've slammed the door if Izuru hadn't modified the hinges to close with a whisper.

Honestly an untapped dynamic, the king and queen of liars meeting. Especially because in the bonus mode Kokichi just...casually knows her original name? How do you know that??? They're such opposites it's hilarious, I do not ship this for cute fluff, I ship this for "we're too different but also too similar so i need to kill them" shenanigans in which hijinks ensue. What wins, the unbeatable gambling luck, or Kokichi's brain and intense ability to cheat? Small luck vs Absolute luck. I'd pay to watch it.

There's something just, tender about this? The you who they turned you into looking back at their older self and telling them it's okay? They're safe now? I dunno there's something that fill me with warmth when I see content of Hajime bringing Izuru into light or Izuru protecting Hajime. So much to unpack about who you are after your identity was split in two like that, each bringing something to the other that the other so desperately needs, finding an internal harmony of love? Izuru getting to exist as his own being and that not being denied but still being acknowledged as inseparable from Hajime? It's tender to me, self love when the world deems you unworthy of any. Heart and mind in unison, an acknowledgement of both pain and so so much love for who you are and who you've been that despite all everyone tried could never truly be stomped out. They complete each other and it makes the potential of their cohabitation really interesting and fascinating, I'm gonna go loop their playlist I made now Plus I've known enough headspace romance drama to know this could get REALLY funny REALLY fast

Something strange happened (Mizumi's reddit ban context + "hajimexizurushipper")
Hello, and Merry Christmas. I hope you're all enjoying the holidays. I got a dm last week from this person, claiming that they're the "hajimexizurushipper" person from this post. This is what they told me:
(The first grooming victim's name is censored in blue btw, as it always is)(hajimexizurushipper also requested I not share the one with their friend, so that's why it's not here)
I had been under the impression that the victim was the one who sent the evidence to the mods, and was the one who got Mizumi banned. But according to this person, they have screenshots showing that they were the one to send the document to the mods, not the victim like I, and also mizumi, believed it to be.
Just to be sure, however, I also got the victim's testimony on this matter, and, sure enough, this is what they had to say:
So, yep. The victim themselves wasn't the one to send the document to the mods, it was someone else.
Already, I can't 100% trust everything hajimexizurushipper says as the complete truth, but given what they say about their relationship to mizumi, the victim corroborating their statement, and also their ability to actually give me at least a few screenshots, I believe at least a little bit of their statement is true, so thank you to this person for coming clean and letting me know all of this.
What these screenshots tell me about mizumi's character is that she is already extremely paranoid that [Victim] is out to get her. (Which is completely wrong, mizumi, I know you're reading this. They have asked for nothing else but to simply move on from this situation, and put their past behind them. The only one to blame for your downfall is you. No one else) She is very quick to assume that the person she's messaging is [Victim], and as such, berates, belittles, and mocks them. I already knew mizumi was the lowest of the low a human being could go, but... taking the time to insult the person you groomed, even if it's not actually them, and then claim that they're harassing you by having the courage to come out about their experience... Jesus Christ.
