Ayooo it's the other thing I made! Wanted to flex on my Somewhat Better Chin Drawing Skills, and just show how much I love this fic to death XD Grateful you liked it 🦋💕🦋

There are two versions, one with blood and one without. I’ve shared both, so TRIGGER WARNING: blood after the fold.

I’m going to be waxing poetic about it at the end of this post and I don’t even care.

It’s Yami, guys. 😭 It’s MY Yami. With chains that weigh him down around his wrists and blood from where he scratches at them. And his expression???? He’s so unsure, so stunned, doesn’t even know if the hand that’s touching him is real, and he’s too scared to look in case it’s all a dream.

And his posture: tight, still, hardly daring to breathe in case it all disappears, hands clamped tightly between his thighs to restrain the urge to touch. Trying so hard not to do anything to displease the light, not to do anything at all.

All wrapped up in such beautiful, beautiful colouring. 💗

I’m honestly weeping. 😭🫶

Tho if you're interested, give it a try too :D It's a fun challenge to stretch your quick drawing muscles, or just a way to see how similar/different you and your friend are XD And clearly, we seem to have copies of each other's brain cells

hello everyone, I have a little something different to share today!

my wonderful friend @kathairoette and I did a drawing challenge together! <3

many will have seen this challenge around before: we each drew a sketch in 20 min and then switched our canvases/files, drawing on the other's for another 20 min and switching again. we switched a total of six times, amounting to 2 hrs of us having silly fun! :D and we both found out that if given free rein of the other's canvas, we will both individually devolve things into sex jokes so that's a fact about us.

anyway, those are the results! it's been tons of fun drawing together and I can totally recommend it: if you have someone to try this challenge with, do it and go silly with a friend. it's an amazing time!

I got an announcement to make.

I’m taking a break. Blep.

And no, it doesn’t mean I’m leaving forever haha, but I’m definitely taking a stop from fandom. It’s for a lot of reasons, the kind of small ones that accumulate to something big, until you just go “You know what? We should stop. Let’s just go.”

First is IRL stuff, responsibilities. Things are changing and I need to take some time to focus on it. Second is skill. While I know I’m not bad, I wish I was… better? A common sentiment for artists ofc, but I want to brush up on my fundamentals and really tighten up my skills. My hope’s that when I come back, I can make more things that are interesting and meaningful. That my work can be things that you and I are both interested in.

Second is my experience in fandom for the last few months. I’ve been doing this for a while, 6-7 years-ish. And it’s sort of lost the magic for me? Sometimes it feels as if what I made had no real impact at all: That all my work’s good for is a quick scroll through and that’s it. It’s how social media works, esp fandom’s, but it’s also kind of painful, you know? And I grew quite lonely because of it, and seeing other people cheer on one another so vividly, publicly or privately or otherwise, felt very saddening. I don’t think I’ve ever felt jealousy like that until now.

So I kinda need to leave pfft. Such thoughts aren’t good for me, and I never want to think bad of fellow fans. But before I truly did, I got to know some people. They were kind and willing to play with me, and so my heart did not hurt so much anymore. And all you people who do come around here too! Whether its from @kathairoscloset or here, you remind me that it’s not as bad as it seems, that you are interested in seeing what I’ll do. It’s important, and I wish I could hear some of your voices even more. But I appreciate it, I really do! Thank you.

I hope that when I come back, I can be a better person and artist than what I was yesterday. I want to, I really do. And I hope you all stay good people too! Here’s to a better year, I wish you all the best.

The Myutant archetype is one of my favourites in Yugioh especially Myutant Beast, so here is little extraterrestrial horror Yugi making its way out of the facility changing and growing with the environment around, and becoming fond of the human that has helped it escape (aka 'accidentally' intentionally broke the sad lil creature out of its tube and was not prepared for how big it got lmao)

A long while ago I once wrote a role reversal s0 fic where these two’s positions were reversed — where Yami was Sugoroku’s distant-relative-turned-grandson, and Yuugi was a spirit who could control destructive, absolute light instead of darkness (this was before I knew abt GX)

This was a scene I never got to write, but it stuck on my head for a long while. With such ominous words, only good things could’ve been happening here :)
