Haven't actually made much progress on this since I last posted, however my wife @yaristari wanted to test her camera on this little guy. Here's some cool pics she got!
Jeremy Wade claims River Monsters was cancelled because he ran out of things to catch. And yet? He remains suspiciously quiet on when he plans to capture Jyuratodus
I really appreciate all the support you give to my posts, it means a lot to me!
And I've also seen that you liked my Monster Hunter post a lot, so I've decided to post more chibi monsters
But now these little guys have extra information! I added each monster's element and weaknesses
I hope this info helps you in your hunts!
Also, a friend of mine calls Jyuratodus "the Water Lavasioth" and that's why I choose that name for the drawing. I found it funny hehe :B
(No Aptonoths were harmed on the making of these drawings)
MK Characters Intro Banter With Monster Hunter Reader! [Part 3]
My PlayStation 5 (along with most of my physical switch games, two vr headsets, all physical ps games, and 3ds) got stolen a little over a month ago and I haven't been able to play monster hunter nor mk, so I am absolutely rotting at the brain with the two. So here's more interactions between a monster hunter and mk11 characters. Cri
Nothing really going on with me myself, more so tech issues like my monitor acting up sometimes (it's just old), but I'll likely get some work done on pieces old and new if it doesn't crap out on me. I'll also be playing MH Frontier and seeing about porting models from the game to SFM if i can, to at least give some of them more personality to shine like Hyujikiki and Barlagual since at the moment they're just fights with some egregious gameplay design to them (Hyuji's tornado tail for one) and once i get most of the G rank and Zenith content done i'll show you all my list of some of my favorite fights (and the edgelord stinkers) and who i think does have a shot at crossing into the main series
in the meanwhile more art stuff, some featured in the latest UHC video, others stuff i haven't posted or didn't get featured
Today in miniature painting: I finished up Pukei-Pukei and Jyuratodus!
They were very fun to paint, especially after I picked up a box of Vallejo Game paints on the cheap, which really went a lot farther for a lot less product.
Aside from the four hunters, I only have two actual monsters left to paint in the Wildspire Wastes set: Diablos and Black Diablos. I think they'll be fun, since they're very big and have simple color schemes with some wear and tear on them.
Miniature painting is very fun!! (except for when i get a paint color wrong lol)
Got pics of the boy! Really happy with how this one came out, especially the shimmery scales. I'm also really happy with how absolutely squelching he looks.
Tried to capture the color-shift properties of the metallics (Don't mind my shaky hand lol). I used a green/yellow paint as the base, then did a few layers of silver/magenta paint just on top.
The figure comes from the Monster Hunter: World board game.
More pics after the break!
Though the mud on the fish was part of the original sculpt, the base was mostly just flat. I decided to sculpt some more mud to go with the mud already on him! After painting I added some fake pooling water to complete the look.
My wife suggested I throw a little grass in the pools of water. It was the right choice tbh
