i cant remember how many of these options are standard and how many are unique but still. the level of concern in a bunch of the first set of options is just so especially heartbreaking with his context. god.

I gotta elaborate on this at length some time when I’m not sitting on hold at work, but I headcanon Astarion as pansexual but demiromantic. He’s used his body and sexuality as a weapon for security, safety, and as a form of manipulation and sex means nothing to him. I gotta expand eventually on him using sex as a form of self harm later.

But in order to be in love, he needs to know that his partner(s) are just as vulnerable as him, if not more so. They have to place their trust in him first, and maintain that for an extended period of time before he allows himself to step outside of his fear. I’m almost positive that Cazador played games with his heart (dangled potential romantic partners and then had them betray him) and it’s why he’s so damn fearful to trust.

There’s a poll in a SN discord server for the best concept art in the game. We’re in the finals with 4 concepts in competition. Swan’s Reflection is my favorite, I ended up rambling about it

Lilith submitting herself to the darkness, crowned queen but treated like the a bride, like the bride OF someone, of her desires, no longer belonging to herself. Her face covered by her bangs, by the veil. She has wings too, but they are dark, and they are low

Ashley’s wings are spread, like she’s trying to break her fall or fly away, or perhaps she doesn’t have the strength to keep them tight around her body anymore and lets the fall/water move her, no longer fighting the forces of nature and no longer fighting Ninir’s expextations for her and for beauty.

Lilith’s wings are down, kept down, again because she submitted to the darkness and It, the darkness, made use of her desires, trapping her in a metaphorical cage that she’s made a home out of

We have an item in this new event pav called Endless Yearning by Lilibet/Lilibai, a necklace with a cage pendant. The description says “The cage woven with golden wires turns out to be the shelter she years for”. That is Lilith here

10. do you have any headcannons? or theories about the season?

i don’t think i have any strong hcs yet, just cause we’ve only had two episodes. at the very least it’s nothing i haven’t already said. as for theories… y’know what yeah, sure. now’s the time for me to bring up my listeners theory. why not.

i’ll be so real this theory is mostly about liml. the secret life relation is really how i think it’ll tie into this season, though i don’t have much evidence to go off of yet. also obligatory “i don’t watch streams so if martyn talked about this in his post liml lore stream do not embarrass me”.

basically the stuff the watchers said to martyn after jimmy died in liml has. implications. the relevant section is “echos ring/for brief exchange/disruptions by/the ones estranged/tread careful sound/for if we met/our gaze would bring/untimely deaf”. the first time i heard that part i didn’t really think much of it and assumed “sound” was just a weird name for martyn, but i’ve realized that, combined with the fact that the watchers don’t talk to martyn at the end of the series but the listeners do, they’re almost certainly talking to the listeners there. the implication seems to be that the listeners have managed to cut the watchers off from martyn for whatever reason. this, combined with how strikingly similar their message at the end of liml is to their message at the end of evos, makes everything feel Real Weird. like yeah ok the watchers are bad but. what do you gain from cutting him off listeners. what do you want here. (i have never quite trusted the listeners and this is something martyn has validated- the listeners are not good just because they are against the watchers. the enemy of my enemy is not inherently my friend.)

as for how this ties into secret life? i think it’s possible that we straight up don’t hear from the watchers this season. it’s DEFINITELY not off the table, but… idk i think we might be in the listener zone for a while. and idk if that’s a good thing.

so inktober day 8 was watch! felt kinda obvious to do some watcher! grian and decided that bright colors were the way to go

hearing an unsettling noise, the witch woman had a strange sense of Deja vu. goosebumps that came over her but failed to melt away. not as though it was dark, or that there weren’t people walking around her to get to their next destination. trapped in her mind a moment as if she was daydreaming or more like having a live nightmare,  but in daylight?  in her efforts to break free, peyton’s subconscious clung to the first sign of life, warm hands, almost close to feverish you could say, gripped their wrist. if it weren’t for the important object ‘round her own wrist, peyton recoiled to believe the burns she could inflict on them. the sound of honking pulls her back in to the safety of civilization, with the realization setting in, the brunette takes her hand away swiftly. “sorry, sorry. I don’t know where my mind is at. sorry.”  she said to the stranger apologetically, nursing a slight fever due to fighting the effects of the bracelet.

So also I had a 'I connected the dots and oh no' moment

I was scrolling and came across a post referencing TMA First Aid, and they mentioned the passport

And yeah it was only just then my brain went

'Oh shit he had the passport on him for identification didn't he?' which like very logical and then apparently I connected further dots to end up on 'He likely wasn't betting on coming back alive from what was he?' and looking at the transcript

Yes. I'd like to do so again! Travelling in general is a lot of fun, especially when it's to more distant places. One of my favourite aspects of travel is seeing different plants and animals and types of stone, etc., and the further from my home I go, the more different those are likely to be.

as i said on twitter i am excited for midnights but i am also stressed about midnights so i will watch the babe mv until my eyeballs fall out of their sockets
